Fire Mage Chapter 368

Chapter 368: Sasha
While Charles was causing chaos in the City of Red, a new mysterious guest arrived at the Iron Kingdom.
A wiry-haired mysterious lady entered the City of Iron through the northern gate and strolled on the newly laid gravel road.
She had long auburn hair, close-set azure eyes, faint eyebrows, silken ivory skin, elongated face, and an aquiline nose.
While strolling, she held a bunch of candy sticks in her hand and gave them whenever she bumped into a kid.
She soon reached the City Square and started muttering some strange verse.
"Born in the Iron, but will rise in the Moon.
She has three hearts but only two hands.
When she returns, her arrival will shake the home.
Chaos will descend, so will the opportunities.
She will rise and become a true Monarch,
Whenever she takes a step, citizens will kneel.
Not out of respect, but out of hunger and fear of death.
She will extend her hand and save the Kingdom from its doom.
Tell her to beware, beware of a Divine.
That one will stick to her, to steal her life.
Save her, and she will save you.
Let her rest for a while, along with her hearts.
When the hearts grow, she will lose one.
But if Fate allows, the lost heart will find me.
And, I will give the Legacy to it.
Wait for the Destined Day! What an interesting forefather you have, Rhea." A chuckle escaped out of her mouth.
If Charles were here, he would have identified her in an instant!
She was none other than the Goddess of Destiny, Sasha!
Although she was also an incarnation like the previous one, she linked herself with her Divine Kingdom and held many advantages!
That's the reason she retained her original facial structure.
After taking over a firm believer's body, she used an ancient soul technique and completely controlled that person's soul.
'Unfortunately, I've to keep a low profile and act according to the plan. With my current strength, I can barely keep up with a Rank-6 Mystic.' But she wasn't worried at all.

In truth, this was also within Destiny Goddess's plan.
When Charles intervened, Destiny Goddess sensed an anomaly and knew that her separate consciousness might fail to take over Rhea's soul!
That's why she placed the Mysterious Curse on Charles!
It was her backup plan!
She also long knew of the First King's Prophecy.
'That King predicted my plot long ago and wrote this prophecy. He must have predicted some anomaly in the Destiny and sought out help from the Will of the World. But the World's Will seemed to have made some blunder mistake and involved a troublesome Irregular. No, the World's Will is not dumb. Then, is a third party involved in this? That's why the World's Will chose to kill him?' A flash of surprise appeared on her face.
'Hmm, this looks like a possible answer. That third party also seems to have lent some help to Charles. If not, he wouldn't have succeeded in delaying his death. Yeah, Charles should've died before the coronation ceremony, but something seems to have helped him.' A troublesome expression appeared on her face.
If it were any other Irregular, she would've contacted that person and made some deal with him.
Unfortunately, this Irregular was an unpredictable one.
Even she had no clue about his current location.
'But the main thing is about the First King. When he wrote that prophecy, his strength should've reached the level of Mid-God. That guy is indeed not simple.'
That's the main reason Sasha came to this Edhen Plane!
Although the First King of Iron Kingdom left this Plane long ago, he gave his descendant a parting gift!
The Destiny Tower!
'I must get it.'
Currently, her strength was around Mid-God Level.
Even there was a big difference in that level.
If she wants to improve further, she needs Destiny Divinities, Origin Force of Destiny Domain, and so on.
The Destiny Tower was one of her treasure hunting spots!
But getting the co-ordinate of the Destiny Tower was not an easy matter.
Not only the First King of Iron Kingdom predicted her scheme, but he also created many traps and even made preparations to counter her abilities!

What's more shocking was the arrival of Charles!
'I also tried my best to erase the prophecy, but Goddess Rodia interfered… The Destiny Tower is not a random magic tower or some low-level Mystic Tower.'
"Even so, he underestimated me too much.' A smirk appeared on her face.
She then closed her eyes, checked the Fate of a particular person, and soon curled her lips upward.
'Hmm, it's time for 'him' to escape from the Deep Sea Prison!' She then made some hand gestures and weaved the fate strings.
After that, she turned around and started walking towards the Nobles' Borough.
A few minutes later, she entered Saffron Street and arrived in front of a three-storied mansion.
Unlike the nearby mansions, this one appeared larger and beautiful.
More than ten silver-armored men roamed inside the compound gate and were strictly guarding the building.
With a single look, anyone could tell that they were elite soldiers!
Sasha also saw a griffon symbol on the guards' clothes, mansion entrance, and many other things and curled her lips upward.
"Hmm, this must be the Griffon family." She nodded her head and moved towards the opened metallic gate.
But just as she walked near it, two muscular men moved their spears and blocked the passage.
"Commoners are not allowed." One of the gatekeepers said coldly.
Meanwhile, Sasha raised her eyebrows and asked.
"Is that so? Then, how about this?"
Saying so, she took a step forward and disappeared from there.
A second later, she appeared in the middle of the reception hall and looked around.
Golden carpets and paints of wars, gods, and angels were the only things that appeared in the hall.
With a simple look, she knew that this house owner loves history and art.
Sasha soon turned her gaze towards the center, nodded her head, and stepped on the golden carpet.
At that moment, a wrinkled old man was seated on a Lawson sofa and held a brown-covered book in his hand.
As she walked closer, the old man also noticed her presence and turned his gaze towards her.
He had silvery hair, strange multi-colored eyes, thick eyebrows, and a long beard.
He wore a neat golden robe and a brown cap with a symbol of griffon engraved on it.
He was none other than the head of Griffon Family, Andy Griffon!
With a mere glance, anyone could tell that this man was proud and arrogant!
"Who are you? Who told you to come in?" A cold voice came out of his mouth.
"Who am I?" Sasha stopped her footsteps, raised her right hand, and snapped her fingers.
The next second, Andy felt that his whole surroundings started to change.
He found himself in a luxurious room a second later and saw a blonde-haired woman holding him in her arms.
Although she appeared younger, Andy recognized her in an instant!
It was his mother!
He tried to shout, but a strange baby's cry came out of his mouth!
"Wah!"
Only then did he notice that his hands and legs appeared tiny and smoother.
'W-What? HOW? I returned to the past?' His eyes widened in disbelief.
But the next second, a female voice echoed in his head.
'No. Although I heard that there is a mysterious spell that could send your soul back in time, even I'm not sure whether it is true or not. As for your current situation, I cast a unique spell called 'Destiny Recall.' This spell will allow you to recall the entire past life and help you walk on the path of true Destiny. Do you want to see the path to your True Destiny?'
Although that voice appeared pleasant and soft, Andy felt a strange sensation of evilness.
He felt as if he heard the words of a wicked being!

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

The Guild
The world is broken. The apocalypse came and went, and only a fragment of humanity is left, scrambled into an unrecognizable mess. The remainders of the earth are filled with monsters from imagination and worse. Gates open periodically, leading to alien worlds, while dungeons form from damaged minds, creating nightmares for the unsuspecting. Some might see it as the end times. A hellscape. A story of humans pushed to their breaking points, desperately grasping for the last bits of humanity as the world crumbles around them. But a few might disagree. One man, in particular, sees opportunity. A chance. A path forward, to bring humanity from the depths of despair and turn it into a victory - a luxury. To remake the world even better than it was, dragging earth forward onto the galactic stage. It will require violence, lies, betrayals, magic, more violence, and the occasional genocide. But, hey. Everything worth doing is hard, right?
