Fire Mage Chapter 363

Chapter 363: Deaths
If Maddox weren't in a drunken state, he would've been more vigilant and cast [Fire Shield] spell in time to block the arrow.
Unfortunately, he failed to notice it.
By the time he saw the arrow, it already arrived near his right side neck.
Then, it directly tore through his neck while slicing the internal carotid arteries and appeared on the other side!
With a shocked face, he clutched the wounded neck and tried to open his mouth but couldn't!
Crimson blood dripped down from his neck, painted his shirt and pants.
Meanwhile, his body staggered for a moment and soon fell on the dirt road.
He gasped for a few seconds and soon went motionless.
At that moment, a thief-looking man watched the falling Maddox from afar and soon sucked in a cold breath.
Shock and alarm appeared on his face.
He was one of Percy's men who tailed Maddox earlier!
'What is she?! How did she predict this?' He muttered to himself in panic.
Without any delay, he turned around and started running towards the Second District direction.
…
During this time, Charles leisurely walked on the street road, stopped in front of some random people from time to time, and gave them prophecy-like words.
Among those unlucky ones, he also found a rare gem.
That person's title was 'Chaos Maiden' and had some unique status.
Although she had only five bloodline spells, all of those spells were chaos fire spells!
'Oh? She also has genius-level affinity!' He gave her similar prophecy-like words and started walking on his own.
…
Hazel Street, Vermillion Section, First District, City of Red.
A brown-haired woman in her late 20s walked on the Hazel Street road and wore an anxious look on her face. She wore a silver-like armor dress, held a spear in her hand, and appeared in deep thoughts.
She tied her long hair in a loose ball at the back of her head and looked more like a fighter woman. She had almond amber eyes, a Nubian nose, and a pear-shaped face.

Her name was Nora.
Like many other helpers of the First District, she enrolled in the city garrison a few years ago and became a knight of a royal family.
Unfortunately, she got demoted due to an incident and later transferred to the First District as a patrol guard.
Her duty was to collect the house taxes, arrest any suspicious individuals entering the street and control the street thugs' activities.
Her job was not a hard one.
But today, she bumped into a strange woman while she was on her way home and received prophecy-like words.
"You'll be pulled into random fighting and die like a street dog, Chaos Maiden. If you want to live, kill anyone who gets close to you. Do not avoid the fighting."
Although she didn't believe the young woman's words, she still couldn't get off the uneasy feeling in her heart.
'I'm a Rank-3 Warlock! I'm not afraid of some random thugs.' She muttered to herself and continued to walk on the dirt road.
Along the way, she met many of her acquaintances and greeted them while waving her hand.
Most of them were the residents of Hazel Street, so she felt a sense of relief.
This street was more like her home.
'But what if that woman's words were true? Moreover, how did she know my nickname?' She couldn't help but tighten the grip of her spear.
Although the residents of this street were polite and kind, Nora knew that they would never come out of their home and help her if she got pulled into a battle.
'In the end, I've no choice but to rely on myself, huh.' She muttered inwardly and decided to follow the strange woman's words.
It was not out of curiosity but out of the fear of losing her life.
She then walked past many people while distancing herself from others and even maintained constant vigilance.
After walking for a while, she saw a group of thugs walking towards her from the opposite direction.

No, she noticed two groups of thugs were walking together and seemed to be fiercely arguing about something.
Upon seeing this scene, a strange chill went up to her spine!
'Damn it, should I walk in the opposite direction?' She firmly shook that thought and moved forward.
Meanwhile, the thugs' argument got fiercer and fiercer, and soon all of them took out their weapons.
At that moment, Nora also arrived near them and ready for any unexpected attacks.
Just as she had expected, all those thugs suddenly started attacking one another.
Daggers and short swords clashed against each other, sending sparks in all directions.
But none used any magic spells!
It was as if they were holding off while battling against each other.
While Nora got closer towards them, some thugs shifted their attention towards her direction and pounced at her.
If it were before, she would have panicked a bit and retreated in fear.
But now, she held her grip and aimed at the incoming opponents.
Then, she stumped her left foot, cast [Fire Enchantment] spell on the spear, and thrust it at full force.
At that moment, her metallic spear suddenly glowed in red color and sent out scorching heatwaves.
The next second, the spear tip tore through the air, stabbed into the thug's neck, and reappeared on the other side!
It was an instant kill!
Upon seeing this, almost all of those thugs paused in surprise and turned their gaze towards her in shock.
Even though these two gangs would always fight for petty things, they would never kill each other!
It was a rule!
But the presence of this unknown female guard changed everything!
Before the nearby thugs could wake up from the shock, Nora twisted her spear, made a whirling stance, and slashed it at the nearby thugs.
Like a flash of lightning, the spear tip moved at a fast speed and slashed the nearby thugs' throats like butchering knives.
In two seconds, more than five thugs clutched their necks and started falling with staggering footsteps!
Meanwhile, Nora pulled her spear, lowered the tip towards the ground, and stared at them with a deadly gaze.
On the other hand, all those thugs got perplexed by the situation and looked at each other in confusion.
No, there was a hint of fear that appeared on their faces.
"One more step, I'll kill all of you." Her cold voice reverberated in the street.
At that moment, even the two gang leaders got intimidated by her!
A strange silence appeared on the street road.
Meanwhile, a strange chaotic red fire manifested behind Nora and started to take shape into wings!
'She is not a normal Helper.' Such thought crossed in all of those thugs' heads.
"C-Chaos Maiden!" A random thug suddenly recognized her and cried out in shock.
On the other hand, all other thugs took a step back and stared at her warily.
Her nickname came after she confronted an unruly Paragon youngster and gave him a good beating.
Because of that, the officials demoted her title and transferred her to the rural street as a patrol guard.
After some thought, the thugs took a step back and started backing off.
Although some thugs showed unwillingness, they didn't oppose the superiors' orders and backed off.
Soon, the whole group of thugs disappeared from her sight, leaving six bloodied corpses behind.
'Is it over?' Nora stabbed the spear's tip on the dirt road and glanced around to see the mysterious young woman.
Similar incidents started to unfold in different parts of the city.
Most of the people who heard the mysterious woman's prophetic words managed to survive, while the rest ended up dying.
Some died because of random accidents, some died of heart attacks and some committed suicide for some personal reasons, and so on.
By the end of the day, more than 800 Red Humans died, causing a great commotion all over the city!

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
