Chapter 335: Curse
"Heart... Blind... What does this mean?" Charles muttered in confusion and soon shifted his attention towards the Red Human kid.
'A blind Red Human kid is the clue to save 'myself' from death? Then, what does the Heart represent?' He frowned for a moment and soon shook his head.
Although he still had many questions in his mind, he finally got a lead!
'A blind Red Human kid... I need to search for him.' He muttered inwardly and soon shifted his gaze towards Edith.
"Is there anything important?" He asked.
Meanwhile, Edith nodded her head and spoke.
"Titus progression came to halt, so he gave up on training his skills and started moving on to a normal life."
Upon hearing her words, Charles's eyes widened.
"How did he give up so quickly? I thought of him as a strong-willed kid, though." He was indeed shocked inside.
"Is there any particular reason?" He furrowed his brows.
Edith thought for a moment and spoke with a nod.
"I've slight suspicion on Daisy Elliott. After he started dating her, his character changed upside down. Even Jessie feels helpless about it."
"Love, huh?"
A chuckle escaped out of Charles's mouth.
Then, he remembered his clone and asked.
"What about him? Did he send any letter?"
"Yes. There is so much to tell about him and the Destiny Lady. They earned a fortune by smuggling, pirating, and stealing and even created a small navy fleet. Hmm, what's it called? Yeah, they created a Gold Demon Fleet and are working for a Rank-5 Mystic called Sage. Currently, they are exploring the outer layer of the Endless Sea and seem to be constantly searching for Destiny Lady's lover." Edith explained calmly.
"Did they succeed?" Charles asked.
"No. But they seem to have found a clue about him a month ago. If I'm not wrong, they must be planning on moving deep into the Endless Sea." Edith replied, frowning.

Noticing her frown, Charles curled his lips upward and smiled.
"You must be wondering why I sent the clone Charles to accompany Destiny Lady. Am I right?"
"Does this have something to do with the mysterious curse?" Edith asked.
Meanwhile, Charles nodded his head and answered solemnly.
"Although I killed the Divine's incarnation, the curse she placed on my soul is still there. I have an uneasy feeling that my future death might've something to do with this curse. And, the Destiny Lady might be a trigger for this curse."
Upon hearing those words, Edith's face turned grim.
"Why not kill her?"
"It's impossible. As long as she is in Edhen World, it's impossible to kill her. She is a 'Destiny' favored child after all." Charles said in a cold tone.
"Destiny favored? You mean she is favored by the World's Will?" Edith's eyes widened.
"There is also the 'Divinity' in her body. Killing her won't solve the problem. It'll only make things more complicated and unpredictable. If I want to solve this problem, I've to follow the clues." Charles didn't explain much about this problem and changed the topic.
"Did he say anything else?"
Upon hearing his words, she suddenly recalled something, took out an azure coin from her space ring, and gave it to him.
"It's Azure Mithril."
"Azure Mithril?" A flash of surprise appeared on Charles's face.
"Yes. It's the Azure Federation currency for mages and Mystics. The presence of Azure Mithril means there are Mystic Towers in this World. Churches and those Four Empires might be in the possession of Mystic Towers and monopolizing the class gems for themselves." Edith revealed a smile on her face.
"Hmm, mysteries are starting to unveil one by one." Charles nodded his head and asked.

"What about the Magic Tower?"
"It's ready. All you've to do now is return to Edhen and imprint your mark on the Tower Core to activate it." Edith paused for a moment and asked.
"Are you ready to rank up?"
Charles shook his head and responded.
"Nope. I still need a month to comprehend the [Heart of Fire] spell model."
Saying so, he walked towards the nearby rocky wall and started to recite an incantation in English.
A few seconds later, his figure turned blurry and soon disappeared from the underground cave.
Meanwhile, Edith let out a deep sigh, moved towards the emerald gem-like leaf embedded rocky wall, and started to chant.
A few seconds later, she also turned blurry and disappeared.
...
The old mansion, Iron Kingdom, Edhen World,
Charles and Edith appeared in the underground basement hall and soon turned their gaze towards the meditating Oswald.
"What are you doing, old man?" Charles asked with a smile.
Meanwhile, Oswald opened his eyes and stood up with a solemn expression on his face.
"Let's go. We need to activate the Tower."
Saying so, he walked towards the nearby wooden table, took the long surcoat placed on it, and wore it over his white shirt.
Then, he also took the black cane from the table, held it in his hand, and started walking towards the basement's exit.
On the other hand, Charles nodded his head and followed after him.
The trio soon left the underground basement hall, walked on the corridor, and entered the reception hall.
"It's been a while, young master." A wrinkled woman came from the kitchen room and waved her hand at him.
She had long black hair with some white ones, deep-blue eyes, and appeared to be around 40 years old.
Meanwhile, Charles turned his gaze towards the middle-aged woman and took a few seconds to recognize her.
"Lady Ashley? How are you?" He asked while waving his hands in return.
Although Charles hadn't interacted much with her, he still felt a little happy when seeing her.
'Humans really do age faster...' He muttered to himself and exchanged a few words with her.
Then, the trio left the reception hall, walked out of the mansion building, and moved towards the nearby garden.
Even though the sky was filled with darkness, the eastern sky shone in golden light and illuminated the whole city!
Charles and Edith cast [Fallen Angel's Wings] spell on themselves and flapped the reddish-black wings before shot towards the sky.
At that moment, Oswald also touched his silver ring, created illusionary wings through artifact, and started flapping them.
Then, he also rose towards the sky and followed after them.
The trio flew towards the eastern direction and soon arrived in front of the tall golden Tower!
Charles then descended towards the ground and noticed that the Tower was built outside of the city wall.
Moreover, the entrance to the Tower had also appeared on the opposite side of the city!
Noticing his puzzlement, Oswald let out a laugh, flew towards the other side of the Rebirth Tower, and spoke.
"It's Rhea's decision. She seems to have some big plans for expanding the Iron City. She said that she is going to place this Tower as a center or something. Ask her about it later."
Saying so, he flapped those illusionary wings and landed in front of the tall golden gate.

He couldn't even get a simple skill like 'identification', this new world make it extremely hard for him to even kill a simple slime. With his friends dying left and right, what will happened to the humanity we knows as. Will Kip remain the same person he always was, or will he changed into something else? Hey guys, thank you for checking out my work. I've read so many novels on this site and it inspired me to write my own story. I've been studying English for about 2 years now and thought this would be a good opportunity to increase my writing skill at the same time. I am currently studying my degree at a University so I'll continue to edit and write more chapter whenever it's convenient for me to do so (which is like, all the times haha). My first work can turn out to be a bit crude, but I hope you guys will be patient and allow little small slime to grow. Thanks!!!

This is just the weird & random shit it my mind, for when I can remember them and when I have time to put those thoughts & feelings into words, IF I can even do that.
