Chapter 316: Saron's Suspicion
Saron recited the chant for another few seconds and soon ended.
Then, an eerie black smoke appeared in front of Saron and absorbed into her body!
Then, the black smoke directly moved towards her right hand and started expelling the black fire that Charles placed earlier!
After that, the fire torch dimmed a little and then went out with a poof.
Without minding the darkness, Saron glanced around for a moment and sat on the ground.
At that moment, two kinds of memories appeared in her mind.
One was the memory of real Saron White, while the other was the memories of an ancient Devil.
It all started when she met the Red Prince 23 years ago.
It was a fateful encounter at the Royal City of Ember.
During that time, she was a priestess of Wisdom Church and went to the Nightwind family to give a mission letter to Harry Nightwind.
To her surprise, she met a blonde-haired man in the Nightwind family mansion.
She felt somehow attracted towards him and then chatted with him.
But just after a few minutes, she started to feel some reverence appeared in her heart.
Whenever she tries to see through him, she found herself in front of a bottomless pit.
The man was so mysterious and yet ordinary at the same time!
They became friends.
Under his guidance, she got awakened!
Then, her previous life memories that hid in the deepest part of her Inner World started to show up in the form of dreams.
She witnessed countless epic battles that happened near a mysterious long river in the void.
Blood River!
It was a single river that connected the seven layers of Hell Plane!
Then, she learned about her true origin.
She learned about how she met the Real Red Prince, about how she ended up sealed in the deepest part of the Blood River, and then about their reincarnation plan and so on.
Although the memories were vague and unclear, she firmly believed that those memories were her own!
From that day onwards, she started following Red Prince!

Like Martin Nightwind, she also started calling him 'His Highness'!
Her love for her family members' and friends' affection turned into dust as she started following Red Prince's footsteps.
The three of them then joined a business organization called 'True Lords' to achieve their first goal.
It was to get their hands on a precious material called 'Heart of Fate' from the Nightwind Family!
But at that time, Harry Nightwind noticed something was wrong with some of his family members and intervened.
As she thought about those incidents, she couldn't help but show a gloomy look on her face.
'Many things happened during these years. Alas, one thing that didn't change. It's the Nightwind Family. At least, one person from that family always tries their best to ruin His Highness's plan. Because of that, our plan has been delayed multiple times.'
Shaking her head, she closed her eyes and entered her Inner World.
A moment later, she appeared in the middle of empty, barren land and looked around.
A large red sun hung up in the sky and illuminated the whole world in reddish-yellow light.
Saron then looked at the shrouded black sky and soon curled her lips upward.
At that moment, more than a million strange black eyes blinked at her from above!
Each of those eyes appeared eerie and terrifying, giving her a strange goosebump.
"All-Seeing Eyes." She muttered.
It was her Rank-4 [Knowledge Seeker] Class skill!
The next instant, something extraordinary happened in the physical world.
More than 100,000 illusionary eyes appeared from her and started to move towards the sky!
Once they reached a certain distance, each eye moved towards different directions and started monitoring the surroundings.
Some even moved towards the nearby houses and started monitoring the humans!
In the next few seconds, those eyes almost covered the Simon Woods and sent countless information to Saron's Inner World.
Meanwhile, Saron constantly looked at the new information in her Inner World and then raised her eyebrows.
"He really isn't monitoring me?" A slight suspicion appeared on her face.

In truth, she had long sensed something was off about Charles's action.
Earlier, she was completely caught off guard and got beaten to a pulp.
Because of that, she couldn't even distinguish Charles's real strength.
By the time she regained her senses, he had used his black flame and completely infected her body.
"But the important this is his memory-erasing ability. It's the Mind Fire... How did he comprehend the Mind Fire so quickly? Wait... Could it be? Is he a reincarnated person?" A thought appeared in her mind.
"Hmm, I must confirm something." She said and waved her hand.
The next instant, an illusionary image of what happened in the reception room appeared in front of her.
She then stared at the realistic image and started gathering clues.
"Hmm, something feels off... When I entered the reception hall, my grandfather and my father tried their best to warn me about something... Wait... Why are their leather shoes burned up? My grandfather is a Rank-4 Necromancer, but even he showed a nervous look on his face..." She also monitored their facial expression and soon turned grave.
"Charles seems to have defeated my grandfather before I walked in... What is the meaning of this? Other than their dresses and shoes, why is everything in the room appeared normal? Moreover, grandfather seems to be completely controlled by him!"
At that moment, an absurd thought appeared in her head.
Rank-5!
Pseudo-Domain!
'T-That's impossible! Even His Highness didn't achieve that feat due to his Low level 'Fate' affinity! That's why he is trying his best to get the 'Heart of Fate' from the Nightwind Family... Wait... What if Charles really is a Rank-5 Mystic?'
She couldn't help but show a worried expression on her face.
'This could be very troublesome. Although 'His Highness' is secluding somewhere in the Ember Kingdom, he would definitely show up once he learns that Charles is looking for him! Currently, he is in a weakened state and the 'Life Curse' is still affecting him to some extent. I need to warn him!'
But she didn't act rashly.
'I currently have no way to contact him and my space ring is also in Charles's hand. Hmm, I have a vague feeling that this might be a trap.' She thought to herself.
For the next five hours, she used one hundred thousand illusionary eyes to search for any anomalies in the surroundings.
Not only she searched the woods, but she even searched the sky and land!
By the time she finished her search, it was around 11. P.M!
Once she confirmed that Charles wasn't monitoring him, she left the Inner World and stood up from the ground.
Then, she dismissed her [All-Seeing Eyes] skill, moved towards the wooden door, and walked out of her room.
After that, she closed her eyes and muttered.
"Sage's Wings."
A moment later, two illusionary eyes appeared behind her back.
Although she always refrained from using her [Teacher] Class skills, she didn't hide it anymore.
'It's better this way. But I must use my [Wise Sight] skill when I get a chance and check his skills and spells. We actually lack information about him.'
She muttered inwardly, used her thoughts to flap those two wings, and shot towards the sky!
In a few seconds, she soared up in the sky, circled the settlement, and flew towards the southeastern direction.
Just as Saron flew away, a 45-years-old middle-aged woman walked out of the nearby hut and looked up at the dark sky.
She had long blonde hair, a round face, amber eyes, and thick eyebrows.
Currently, she wore old linen clothes and looked more like a real slave.
She continued to stare at the sky for a moment and then smiled all of a sudden.
The next instant, her whole body started to shape-shift and turned into a deep-blue-haired young man's appearance.
"She really thought she could fool me using her acting?" Charles said in a cold tone and rose towards the sky.

The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.

Draugr Cell //Layer 01-- Investiture:
With the end of the only war to ever reach mainland Australia I found myself living out of a small room in an old military compound that had been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The end of the war, unfortunately, didn't mean the end of hostilities. The terrorism trend that had started back in the early 2000's with the attack on the world trade center over in America, had spread to just about every country on the face of the planet. Over time the constant threat from various groups meant the civilian police force was quickly undermanned, under equipped, and overwhelmed. They were simply unable to respond to the daily threats in any reasonable time frame, and in many situations lacked the both the skills and equipment required to deal with the threats to put them down in a 'safe' and expedient manner. Veterans of the war that were being reintegrated into society however, were just about everywhere, all the time. We have the training and the skills required to deal with just about any threat you care to mention, all we needed was access to the equipment to do so. In a world first, under the new Veterans program, the Australian government had taken the rather controversial step of allowing specifically selected veterans to go armed in public. Sure, with Australian weapons laws being very, very strict there were a number of hurdles to get over first, but that's where the selection part comes in. Tangentially that's actually how I met Brianna, my current partner. We work as ringers in Victory City, I thought being thrown into imptomtu combat operations and risking my life on a daily basis for barely livable wages was excitement enough. Then I met her... it... I don't know. An AI unlike anything else out there has wedged itself into my life and decided it needs to... look after me. What could possibly go wrong? **** This is the first book I have released, and my first entry into a cyberpunk universe. There is minimal drug use, a fair amount of sex, a bit of gory violence, and a sultry AI that has decided the main character needs a harem.

"EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings.
