Chapter 279: Wait
On October 2nd, it was around 6 P.M.
Jessie sat on the soft bed and placed tens of silver rings in front of her.
Currently, she wore a long sleeve dress and held a unique notebook in her hand.
'It's time.' Her second consciousness spoke in her head.
The next second, Jessie took a ring, tapped it with her finger, and soon noticed a strange imprint appeared in her mind.
Then, she zeroed her focus on the imprint and activated it.
A few seconds later, an illusionary figure of a fat man appeared above the silver ring.
"Uncle Colton!" She greeted him with a smile.
"What are your orders, Jessie?" Baron Colton asked.
Meanwhile, Jessie opened her notebook, flipped to the fifth page, and spoke.
"Open the map I gave you earlier, Uncle. On the map, you will see some red crosses."
The Baron did as she told him and nodded his head in approval.
"Good. Look at the woodland areas in your territory and see if there are any red cross marked in there." Jessie asked.
"There is one in the north-eastern direction," Baron responded.
"Okay. Bring your soldiers over there and search for a temple ruin near the shores of Black River. Then, please wait for my further orders. If you see any Mystics along the way, kill them on the spot. Do not try to capture them." Jessie's voice turned abnormally cold.
"What if the Mystic is an innocent?" Baron asked in confusion.
"There won't be any. There is no way an innocent Mystic would be exploring the woods in the dark." Jessie paused for a moment and soon asked.
"How many soldiers did you manage to gather, uncle?"
"I've gathered around 250 Rank-1 Mystics, 34 Rank-2 Mystics, and 6 Rank-3 Mystics. There are two Rank-3 Mages among the group." Baron spoke in a proud tone.

Upon hearing his words, Jessie curled her lips upward and smiled.
"Excellent. You can start your secret mission now."
Saying so, she cut off the communication connection and shifted his attention towards the next ring.
Soon, an illusionary figure of a black-haired man appeared in front of her.
"Count Jace." She waved her hand in greeting.
"We are waiting for your orders, My Lady." Count Jace's tone was polite.
Jessie nodded her head and spoke.
"Good. Your job is to bring your private troop to Zarcach Mountain range, cross it before midnight, and enter Duke Gavin's territory. Then, you will be meeting up with Baron Luka and Viscount Camden. After you meet them, contact me through the communication ring."
She also warned him to kill any suspicious person on their way and ended her communication in a hurry.
For the next 50 minutes, she contacted different enslaved nobles, gave them multiple orders, and finally manage to complete the first work.
'What orders do I have to give them once they reach the destination?' She asked in curious.
Although she was the one who hid the important information in her Inner World, she couldn't help but show a curious look on her face.
'It will alert the 'fate' related class members. Wait till dawn.' Her second consciousness spoke coldly.
...
Day Town, Stonewall Territory.
Baron Colton stood at the Day Town entrance and looked at the dark sky with a solemn look on his face.
Currently, there were hundreds of silver-armored men, and tens of robed mages stood behind him and were ready to set out any moment.
Because of Jessie's warning, Baron Colton told them not to bring any horses and even advised them to wear dark clothes.
"Where are we going, My Lord? Are we going to subjugate any large-scale bandit group?" A bald man arrived beside him and asked in confusion.

He was the commander of his private army!
Baron Colton glanced at the 60 to 70 years old looking man and shook his head.
"It's secret. Just follow my orders."
Saying so, he raised his hand and shouted.
"Let's go."
His voice echoed at the entrance like a rumble of thunder, causing the soldiers to grip their weapons subconsciously.
Although Baron looks fat and chubby, he was a former commander and participated in many battles.
Under his lead, Baron's group marched on the dirt path and soon disappeared from townsfolk's eyes.
By the time they entered the nearby woodland, the darkness had encircled them from all directions.
But they didn't stop anywhere in the woods, lit the fire torches, and started marching towards the northeast direction.
They continued to walk in the woods for the next few hours and reached the Black River's shore around 1 A.M.
Then, Baron opened the map and told his soldiers to start looking for the temple ruin.
After an hour of search, they finally manage to found an ancient temple ruin near the shore region!
Meanwhile, Baron Colton contacted Jessie and received another order.
"Go to the ruined temple and take some rest. The secret mission will start at dawn." Her words were simple.
'Secret Mission...' Baron couldn't help but show a slight hesitation on his face.
In the end, he subconsciously trusted Jessie's words and ordered his guards to take some rest.
...
Zarcach Mountain Range,
Count Jace led his private army into the dry valley and marched towards Duke Gavin's territory. After some time, he met with two other nobles and contacted Jessie.
"Stay where you are and let your soldiers take some rest. The secret mission will start at dawn. Wait for my next call." Saying so, Jessie cut off the communication and attended another call.
Like Baron Colton and Count Jace, all the remaining nobles also received similar orders.
32 Barons, 11 Viscounts, 6 Counts, and three Margraves moved under Jessie's order to different woodlands and waited for her further others.
...
Meanwhile, Jessie sat on her soft bed, opened her notebook, and stared at a particular page.
"16,786 Mystics are participating in this mission. Among the Mystics, 13,455 are Rank-1, 3,005 are Rank-2, and 450 are Rank-3 Mystics. Whatever we are going to do, this will shake the whole kingdom." She let out a deep sigh and shifted her attention to a particular ring.
She then stepped out of her bed, walked towards the right side window, moved the golden curtain, and opened the window.
Fresh air seeped into her room while brush passing her neck and gave a cold feeling to her heart.
Jessie looked up at the southern sky, locked her gaze on the left side red moon, and muttered.
"When the dawn arrives, blood will spill... Purge the evil and will give birth to a new life."
She then retracted her gaze, looked at the mansion's front yard, and turned around.
After that, she returned to the bed, sat on it, and waited for the dawn light.

Is it Really Ok for a Dungeon Master to Manage a Dungeon?
Leo Flores just wanted to play D&D with his friends. He didn't expect anything life changing to happen during their odd little campaign, but next thing he knows he's been summoned by those same friends as the Demon King who will lead their dungeon to greatness. This takes being a Dungeon Master to a whole new level doesn't it? A fun romp of a story that takes a few jabs at the common tropes found in isekai LN while also mainting a genuine plot. Some moments and characters are based off my own campaigns I've run before. Trying to upload once a week, but may take up to two weeks to upload.

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
