Chapter 266: Secret
Meanwhile, Charles walked past Oswald and Rachel, arrived in front of the wooden door, and spoke.
"I will give you one piece of free advice. Red Prince is a very dangerous and sly person. Although both of you are powerful Rank-4 Mages, you still aren't strong enough to face him alone. Why don't you wait here for a few months and deal with him after Charles finishes this mission? You will also get a few chances to talk to your grandson openly." His words were sincere.
Upon hearing his words, Oswald went silent for a moment and said with a nod.
"I will think about it."
"Make yourself at home." Charles suddenly paused for a moment and then asked.
"Did you tell them that you are the real Oswald?"
Upon hearing his words, the corner of Oswald's lips twitched.
If he hadn't heard of this imposer's legend of toying three Rank-4 Mystics at the same time, he would have strangled him to death.
Casting those thoughts away from his mind, he let out a fake cough and spoke.
"You don't have to worry about that, Mr. Ancient Mage. I used a fake name to do the introduction."
"Oh! That's a relief."
Nodding his head, Charles walked out of the guest room and moved towards the reception hall.
"This old monster is something else." Oswald couldn't help but mutter.
"He is really that strong?" Rachel arrived beside him and asked.
"I've no idea about his battle strength. But he found out the curse's origin in few seconds. That itself is more than enough." Oswald said in a serious tone.
While they were discussing, Charles slowly walked towards the center of the reception hall and cast his gaze towards his disciples.
At that moment, Rhea and Noel stood up from their seats and bowed their heads towards him.
Meanwhile, Destiny Lady also stood up from her seat and greeted him with a nod.
"Mr. Oswald, when can I see Charles?" She asked with a serious look on her face.

On the other hand, Charles also felt a sudden excitement from his second consciousness and chuckled inwardly.
'My clone truly started loving her.'
Shaking his head, Charles thought for a moment and spoke with a smile.
"I'm planning on inviting him to the upcoming banquet. You can have a nice chat with him."
"Banquet?" Noel's ears perked up as he heard his words.
Charles went towards the nearby Lawson sofa, sat on it, and spoke with a thoughtful look on his face.
"I'll tell more about it later. Go and inform Ashley to make preparation. Let's make this banquet on September 30th." He deliberated for a moment and asked.
"Where is Jessie?"
"She and Titus went to meet Viscount Bentley, Teacher," Noel responded quickly and started walking towards the kitchen to inform Ashley.
Meanwhile, Rhea and Destiny Lady sat on the chesterfield sofa and continued their discussion about ice magic.
After few minutes, Destiny Lady finished explaining her doubt and shifted to a theory about Arctic Ice.
At that moment, Rhea suddenly recalled something, turned her attention towards Charles, and asked.
"Who are all we inviting, Teacher?"
Just as he was about to respond, he saw Oswald and Rachel came from the guest room and sat on the opposite sofa.
"We will stay here for a few more weeks," Oswald said in a calm tone and then shifted his gaze towards Noel, who just returned from the kitchen.
"Do you want to learn the 'Dawn of Darkness' sword technique, kid? I can use this free time and impart some of those moves to you. As long as you manage to grasp the true sword essence of 'Dawn of Darkness', you will have an easier time breaking away from any illusion-related spells and skills." He said with a profound look on his face.
'I'm his teacher...' Charles felt awkward as he heard those words.
'Humph, you are just a teacher in the name. Except for spouting some nonsense to brainwash Jessie, you did nothing but drag them here and there.' The Holem's Crown's voice echoed in his head, causing his lips to twitch.

After that, Charles turned his gaze towards Rhea and soon noticed that Destiny Lady started explaining the theory about 'Arctic' power.
'Why do I feel like I'm unwanted here?' While thinking, he zeroed his gaze on Rhea and cast [Cryptic Analysis] skill.
'Hmm? Her water affinity already rose from 'High' to 'Good'...' He nodded inwardly and then checked her spell names.
'Ice Touch, Frozen Land, Crystal Shield, Ice Needle, Mist of Illusion and Spring of Life... The last one is a healing spell?' He was surprised a little.
While checking her status, he also started eavesdropping and soon sighed in disappointment.
'The information about water magic is no use for me. What I need right now is more information about seven types of flames. As long as I manage to steal any of those seven types of flames, I can pull them into my Inner World through [Fire Born] spell and increase my comprehension at an unimaginable speed... Unfortunately, no one will voluntarily cast their spells to let me comprehend them.' He stayed in the reception hall for some time and saw Jessie and Titus entering the house.
Within a few seconds, they arrived next to Charles's seat and greeted him.
"Who are they, Teacher?" Jessie noticed the similarity between Oswald's and Charles's facial features and asked in curiosity.
'He looks more like Teacher's younger brother... But Teacher Oswald is an ancient mage, right? Maybe his son? Charles's father?' Her imagination power suddenly acted and gave a bunch of possibilities.
Meanwhile, Charles wore a troubled look and responded with a forced smile.
"He is a distant relative of mine."
Unfortunately, it added fuel to Jessie's imagination.
'Distant relative? He is truly trying to keep his father-son relationship a secret! Something must have happened? Otherwise, he wouldn't hide it from us.' She thought.
'Yes, Teacher didn't hide anything about his grandson. But he is hiding his relationship with his son. Something suspicious is going on.' Her second consciousness suddenly popped up in her head.
'From our understanding, our Teacher doesn't have enough time to live. Maybe, they came here to see him?' Her third consciousness also joined the conversation and spouted nonsense.
'Who is this black-haired woman? Charles's mother? Wait... Did they come here to look for their son? Our Teacher did tell us that Charles is currently blinded by revenge, right? They not only came here to see our Teacher, but they also came here to look for their son?' As she thought of the possibility, Jessie widened her scarlet eyes in surprise.
Unaware of her inner thoughts, Charles stood up from his seat and spoke.
"Jessie, follow me. I have something important to discuss." He paused for a moment, shifted his gaze towards Titus, and added.
"Titus, go and prepare two rooms for our guests. They will be staying here for the next few weeks."
Saying so, he took a step forward and started walking towards the underground basement direction.
Although Jessie got puzzled a little, she didn't ask any questions and followed after him.
They soon reached the underground basement entrance, opened the metallic shutter, and went downstairs.
At that moment, Destiny Lady, the real Oswald, and Rachel used their wisdom power and tried to scan the underground basement hall.
But just when their wisdom power moved towards the metallic shutter, an invisible force appeared out of nowhere and completely blocked them from scanning!
The next instant, all three of them retracted their wisdom power and shook their heads in disappointment.
Meanwhile, Jessie reached the underground basement hall and soon saw her Teacher lighting the fire torches.
A moment later, the broken glass container, three wooden chairs, tables, and the strange runal words inscribed floor appeared in front of her sight.
'What are these? This room looks more like a ritual chamber.' Her scarlet eyes darted around.
At that moment, Charles went near the wooden chair, sat on it, and spoke.
"Jessie, I want you to prepare a few things for me in secret."
