Chapter 257: Vampire
"What are you going to do now?" The Holem's Crown asked in curious.
Upon hearing its words, the corner of Charles's lips rose upward and formed into a sly smile.
"You asked me to fight fairly, right? I will do it."
Saying so, he turned around and touched his face.
The next instant, his whole face started to change and transformed into Vivian's one!
"Y-You-" The Holem's Crown was beyond speechless by his shamelessness.
Without waiting for the Holem's Crown response, Charles cast [Flame Teleportation] spell, enveloped his body in a crimson flame and disappeared from there.
A moment later, a humanoid flame appeared at the Black Tower entrance, startling the nearby guards and robed mystics, and soon formed into a figure of a silver-haired woman.
Charles's gaze swept past the surroundings Mystics and soon landed on a blonde-haired woman in her late 60s.
Her amber eyes were bloodshot, and she wrapped her wrinkled face in a red scarf.
She wore a black overcoat over her formal dress and held a strange bluish crystal in her hand.
'Louise!' Charles's eyes flickered.
Upon seeing Vivian's appearance, Louise was momentarily stunned for a moment and soon shouted in shock.
"V-Vivian!"
Utilizing the opportunity, Charles took out a thumb-sized stone from Marissa's space ring and activated the [Stone of Fear] ability.
Unlike the Riddle of Nightmares, this artifact hadn't any cooldown!
When activating this stone, the enemy would feel immense fear of losing something precious and always want to protect this 'something' from any potential dangers!
At that moment, Louise felt that her emotions were starting to act up.
'I don't want to lose her!' She dashed towards Charles at a fast speed.
Meanwhile, Charles was about to cast [Finger of Destruction] spell on Louise, but he suddenly felt a premonition and stopped.
"Louise, snap out of it. That's an imposter." A cold male voice came from the sky, causing Louise to stop her footsteps in the midway.

At that moment, confusion, anxiety, and cautiousness appeared on her face.
'Cedric… He is Reid's third disciple.' Charles's lips twitched as he released his wisdom power, stored the 'Stone of Fear' into his space ring, and turned his gaze towards the sky.
Cedric was a black-haired man in his 40s, and his square face appeared slightly wrinkled. His beard was messy, and it was obvious he hadn't shaved for days. He had strange purple eyes and wore a casual dress.
Two bat-like wings appeared behind him and were constantly flapping on their own, making him look more evil.
But what caused Charles to raise his eyebrows a little was the sharp nails that appeared in both his hands.
'Vampire? It's rare to see a Vampire in this plane.' The Holem's Crown said in a surprised tone.
Meanwhile, Charles furrowed his brows and soon noticed something odd happening in his body.
First, his heartbeat suddenly started to slow down, followed by dizziness.
'Blood-related abilities.' He didn't think for a second before focusing his gaze on Cedric and cast [Cryptic Analysis] skill.
Simultaneously, he cast [Accelerate Thoughts] skill on himself.
A row of information appeared in his mind.
'A Rank-4 Noble Viscount… Innate spells… Bat Form, Finger of Death, Instant Regeneration, Alternate Thoughts, Control Blood, Lightning Reflex, Undead Body… No good, I'm not strong enough to face against these two at a same time.' Just when he was about to use [Flame Teleportation] spell, Louise already snapped out from her fear and crushed the crystal in her hand.
The next instant, a strange ripple came out from her hand and soon enveloped the whole surrounding in bluish-layer!
'Space Lock!' His expression turned grim.
At that moment, he deactivated the [Accelerate Thoughts] skill.
'My mental power is not enough to maintain this skill for too long.'
Before he could think, his [Prevision] skill triggered on its own and warned him about the approaching danger.

Without any hesitation, he cast [Sun's Guard] spell on himself.
The next instant, an eerie black ray came from the sky and collided on the sunshine layer that just enveloped his body!
It was so strong that it almost caused him to push backward!
'Finger of Death spell? Sh*t! My defensive spell won't be able to stop it!' He didn't hesitate for a moment before he cast [Flame Teleportation] spell and disappeared from there.
In a blink, he reappeared in the sky, cast [Fallen Angel's Wings] spell on himself, and stared warily at Cedric.
His heartbeat continued to slow down.
'I've to find a way and counter this spell.' He thought.
But at that moment, his [Sun's Guard] spell started to shine brightly and broke into pieces!
Just stopping the [Finger of Death] spell for a second caused the [Sun's Guard] spell to break into pieces!
Meanwhile, the black ray tore through the air and soon landed on an unfortunate robed Mystic.
The next second, his whole body started to erode and soon disintegrated into dust!
But Charles didn't have any luxury to watch the unfortunate guy's death at all.
At that point, Louise cast [Zephyr's Wings], rose in the sky, and suspended in the air.
Currently, she was hovering on the opposite side and was blocking him from escaping.
"You are not going anywhere, Charles!" Her voice turned hoarse.
Her eyes were filled with rage, hate, anger, and a bit of madness!
Meanwhile, Cedric also glared at him from the other side and spoke coldly.
"You have a skill that could perceive the upcoming danger, right? When I cast my attack spell earlier, I didn't make a mistake and even concealed the fluctuation of death energy. It's a perfect spell to assassinate someone…." He stopped talking for a second and soon shook his head.
He didn't waste any time, stared deep into Charles's eyes, and continued.
"You are our enemy, Charles. Cast your defensive spell."
At that moment, Charles subconsciously felt that it was unwise to cast a [Sun's Guard] spell and stopped his action!
Simultaneously, the clone Charles discovered that a strange power was manipulating his thinking in his Inner World and quickly erased it.
The next instant, Charles snapped out of the strange state and cast the defensive spell.
A sunshine layer appeared around his body and soon enveloped him.
Upon seeing his action, astonishment flashed on Cedric's face.
But soon, he turned his face into a solemn one and spoke.
"Louise."
"I'm ready." Louise raised her hand and slashed it in Charles's direction like a sword.
The next instant, an invisible scythe appeared out of thin air and drifted towards Charles quickly.
Meanwhile, his [Arcane Eyes] skill activated on its own and exposed the invisible scythe to him!
He could tell with a single glance that even his [Sun's Guard] spell wouldn't stand a chance against it!
"Charles, you are our enemy. You have to be on guard against us." Cedric spoke again.
As he ended his speech, Charles was influenced by [Alternate Thoughts] skill once again and dismissed his [Sun's Guard] spell!
At that moment, the invisible wind scythe tore through the air and almost arrived in front of him!
Curling his lips upward, Cedric also fixed his gaze on Charles's head, raised his hand, and cast [Finger of Death] spell!
A black ray of light tore through the air and soon appeared near his forehead!
But just when the [Wind Scythe] and [Finger of Death] spells were about to land on his body, the corner of Charles's lips suddenly started to curl upward.
The next instant, his body was wrapped in reddish flame and soon turned into a flame being!
It was his Rank-3 [Fire Born] spell!
