Chapter 254: Shock
The Black Tower.
In the underground Throne Hall,
Reid sat on the bone throne and was in the middle of thinking about his following plan. After Charles stole his Phylactery, he always stayed in the Throne Hall and waited for his disciples to find Charles.
He was even afraid of his disciples' betrayal!
He didn't even dare to meet his disciples during the past few days and was hiding in the Throne Hall like a rat!
While he was in muse, Reid suddenly noticed that he actually forgot what he was thinking earlier.
'What did I forgot? Hmm? Who am I? What am I doing here? Wait... I'm feeling sleepy...' Before he could understand what was happening, a strange invisible power erased his memories, Will, and even his soul from its existence!
Reid, the first pawn of the 'Divine,' died without knowing how!
...
Backyard garden, Royal Palace, Nobles District,
A young four-year-old girl child sat on a small chair and was in the middle of drinking a glass of milk.
Just when she was about to take another sip, her deep-brown eyes suddenly turned into mysterious-looking Fermen blue.
She stopped talking the sip, stood up from the small wooden chair, and looked in the southern direction.
Her Fermen blue eyes peered through the walls, buildings, and trees and soon locked on to the Whispers Valley.
At that moment, she used her dream power and activated her [Dream Prophet] skill.
The next second, her face froze.
"Reid's soul shattered? But how?" A shock appeared on her face.
...
Rodsley Street, Nobles' District.
In the old mansion,
A black-haired woman just finished her usual work and entered her bedroom. She looked around 30-35 years old and had an average height, trimmed eyebrows, and a slender body.
She was none other than Ashley.
She wore a long nightgown and appeared more like an average woman in every aspect.
Just as she locked the door from inside, her body suddenly jerked up, went stiff once again.
"Damn this stiffness. I'm not even 35 years old yet." She muttered in a displeased tone.
Meanwhile,
In her Inner World, the mysterious lady, who was seated on the silver throne, suddenly stood up and looked up at the white crystalline ceiling.
Instead of amusement and craftiness, a shock appeared on her face and soon turned into disbelief.
"He erased Reid's soul? Did the Intellectual Artifact have some powerful skill?" Her sharp voice echoed in the gloomy crystalline Throne Hall, causing the glassy windows to shatter all of a sudden.

…
35C Amber House, Emerald Street, Nobles' District,
In the reception hall of a two-storied building, a 40-years-old man with an average look sat on a luxurious sofa and was in the middle of talking through a communication ring.
He was none other than Archbishop Royce!
Just when he was about to say something, his eyelids started to twitch all of a sudden.
The next instant, he received a piece of information in his mind.
'Reid is dead. His soul shattered.'
Upon seeing the information, his expression turned ugly.
He hurriedly snapped out from the dazed state and spoke to the other person.
"Casey, be careful of the surroundings." His voice contains a trace of anxiety and fear.
Archbishop Royce knew how strong Reid was and felt fear towards Charles!
Although Divine didn't mention who killed Reid, he knew that Charles was the only one who could achieve such a feat!
...
Meanwhile, Charles stood up from the stone slab before wearing the red-gem embedded bracelet and turned his attention to the invisible soul barrier spell.
'I can see a bluish-green layer covering us... Can I able to break this spell?' His deep-blue eyes shone in bright color.
He then took a step forward, moved towards the barrier, and activated his [Arcane Eyes] skill.
"Oh? You are planning to use your strange eye skill?" The Holem's Crown also noticed his action and asked.
On the other hand, Charles continuously used his skill and started searching for a weakness.
One second... Two seconds... Three seconds...
After 2 minutes, Charles finally noticed a weakened area in the barrier and touched it with his finger.
A slight crack appeared on the barrier but soon repaired on its own!
'So, I can't break them one by one, huh.' He nodded thoughtfully and marked the weakened area.
After a few minutes, he found another three weakened areas and got delighted inside.
He continued to crack the barrier for the next 2 hours and soon turned serious.
In those two hours, he found a total of 63 weakened areas and tried multiple methods to break them.
Unfortunately, the soul barrier didn't even flinch a bit!
'Troublesome.' His expression turned gloomy.
On the other hand, the Holem's Crown patiently watched his action and was deeply stunned.
Runeth was a Rune Master in his prime and knew how hard it would be to crack a spell.

But even he was stunned inside.
'This lad's 'eye' skill has improved greatly.' He couldn't help but feel proud a little inside.
'I'm feeling like watching my grandson growing into a powerful man.'
Unaware of the artifact's inner thoughts, Charles continued to use his [Arcane Eyes] skill and started cracking the spell.
Time passed slowly, and soon it was the fifth hour.
During the past four hours, Charles found more than 184 weak points in the spells and used different methods to break the spell.
Unfortunately, he still didn't succeed.
"Hmm, infuse your wisdom power with those invisible strings and try to break it." The Holem's Crown suddenly spoke, causing him to pause in surprise for a moment.
He hurriedly nodded his head, infused his wisdom power with all those invisible strings, and let them move towards all 184 weak points.
As those invisible touched the soul barrier, countless cracks appeared all over the area!
"Cast your low-rank chaos spell." The Holem's Crown added.
With a nod, Charles raised his forefinger and cast [Incinerate] spell!
The next instant, a dense reddish ray came out from his finger, moved towards the barrier quickly, and directly tore through it.
Then, the whole barrier shook for a moment and started to break like glasses!
"Success!" A smile appeared on Charles's face.
Then, he walked towards the stone wall, focused his attention on the gem-like leaf, and chanted in English.
A few seconds later, his figure turned blurry all of a sudden and disappeared from the Fire Elemental Plane.
...
A moment later, Charles appeared in the underground hall, cast [Flame Teleportation] spell on himself, and enveloped his body in a crimson flame before disappearing.
The next instant, he reappeared in a small hut in the Slum District, used his wisdom power to search the surroundings, and then started changing his appearance into his original self.
After that, he removed his formal dress and started wearing a narrowed-sleeved brown linen shirt, same-colored pants, and shoes without heels.
Then, he took out a flat black cap, put it over his head, went near the wooden door, and opened it with a click before walking out.
Only then did he notice that the whole surroundings appeared darker.
He hurriedly took out a silver pocket watch from his space ring, opened the outer case, and stared into it.
At that moment, the needles inside the watch began to move in circles for a few moments and soon stopped.
"8.40 P.M, huh." He furrowed his brows for a moment, closed the outer case, and stored it in his space ring
After that, he entered the right side dark alley, made a few turns, entered the Commoners' District, and started walking towards Red Street.
After a few minutes of walking, he reached 45A Red Street and stared at the two-storied building with a mysterious smile on his face.
Unlike other ones, the whole street was bustling with full of life.
Men's and women's giggling noise, pleasure moaning sounds, and painful screams came from every direction.
Charles adjusted his hat, went near the entrance gate, and pushed open the door.
Just as he walked in, two pretty girls in transparent white gowns walked towards him with seductive smiles on their faces.
Both had wavy black hair, bluish eyes and were around 18 to 20 years old.
Within seconds, they arrived next to him, leaned their bodies against his own, and started to undress.
On the other hand, Charles wore an amusing smile on his face, turned his head towards the right side girl, and whispered towards her ears.
"Bring me to your boss 'Benjamin,' Miss. Molly."
Once she heard his words, the black-haired girl's body stiffened.
"H-How did you know my name?" She couldn't help but stutter as she tried to back away.
But before she could take a step back, Charles swiftly moved his hand, placed something on her throat.
The next instant, she felt a warm liquid dripped down from her throat and went pale.
'It's my blood!' A thought appeared in her mind.
On the other hand, the other girl tried to open her mouth in shock, but soon noticed something invisible power gripped her throat!
Before she could think further, Charles slightly moved his other hand, knocked her unconscious, placed her on the ground, and signaled her to walk.
"Act normally. I will let you live." He added as he retracted his other hand from her throat and adjusted his shirt.
On the other hand, Molly nodded her head stiffly, made a forced smile, and brought him towards the narrow corridor.

She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
