Chapter 241: Blood Curse
Meanwhile, Jessie widened her scarlet eyes in surprise and soon tilted her head.
"That shouldn't be possible, Lord Baron. Maybe you saw us during Rhea's successor ceremony?" She asked.
"That must be it." Baron nodded his head in enlightenment and turned his gaze towards the steward.
"Why are you still standing there like an idiot? Moreover, why there was no sweets served for my guests?" His voice turned abnormally colder, which caused the steward's face to go pale.
"I will bring the sweets myself, My Lord." He replied in a hurry and walked out of the reception hall.
On the other hand, Baron turned his head towards Jessie and spoke with an apologetic expression on his face.
"Sorry for my servant's rude action, Jessie. I will teach him a good lesson later."
In the meantime, Jessie made a forced smile and responded while waving her hand.
"Don't be too harsh on him." She deliberated for a moment and soon went to the main topic.
"Uncle Colton, can you show us around? Other than our old mansion, we never went to any noble's house in fear of unexpected assassination. I'm quite curious about how a normal nobleman's house would look like."
Upon hearing her words, Baron suddenly laughed out loud and spoke with a nod.
"Haha, this is the first time someone asked me to become a tour guide. Come on, I will show you around."
Saying so, he stood up from his seat and walked towards the exit.
Jessie and Titus glanced at each other, nodded their heads, and stood up from their seats.
At that moment, Baron didn't feel anything odd about Jessie's addressing tone and acted as if everything was normal!
As he walked out of the reception hall, he glanced at Titus, patted on his shoulder, and continued to speak.

"Why are you so silent, lad? If you keep your mouth shut all the time, no girl will like you."
Titus's lips twitched as he heard those words.
Thankfully, Jessie diverted Baron by asking about architecture and moved deep into the mansion.
Baron Colton led to the mansion garden, then towards the second floor, and started discussing politics, governing, nobles' etiquette, and traditions.
Jessie also asked multiple questions which she had prepared earlier and even got information about Baron's personal life.
They chatted like they were long-lost friends!
By the time Jessie and Titus walked out of the mansion, it was already 8 P.M.
At that moment, Baron Colton stood at the entrance gate and was waving his hands at them like an overprotective father.
His face showed concern and worry!
Upon seeing such a scene, a chill went up to Titus's spine!
"Y-Your skill is a very scary one, sister." He couldn't help shudder when he thought of the last few hours.
Even Jessie wore a disbelieving look on her face and nodded her head in approval.
"We have to come here often to make this relationship permanent." As she spoke, she noticed that they already appeared near the four-wheeled carriage and breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Let go." She said while moving the golden curtain and entered.
Titus also followed her actions and soon ordered the coachman to start the carriage.
…
Hunt Street, Slum District.
A curly blonde-haired lady in her last 60s strolled on the street road and seemed to be searching for someone.
At that moment, an anxious expression appeared on her face.
She was none other than Vivian's Teacher, Louise.
For the past few hours, she had been roaming in the Slum District and asking everyone about her disciple.

Unfortunately, she didn't find a single clue about Vivian!
As usual, she once again moved towards the roadside, woke up a blonde-haired beggar, and took out a unique magic lamp from her space ring.
Then, she took out a portrait of Vivian, showed it to him.
"Have you seen this person?" She asked in a tired tone.
Meanwhile, the beggar man let out a loud yawn and soon squinted his eyes.
"T-This…. Y-Yes, I saw her around 2 hours ago at Vale Street. It is two blocks away from here. At that time, she appeared very pale and walked like a drunken woman." He suddenly paused for a moment as if he recalled terrifying and added in a trembling voice.
"Noticing her strange action, a thug tried to assault her, but he became blind. Not only that, but he also died of a heart attack a few minutes later."
"Really? Did you really see her?" A surprise flashed on Louise's face as she grabbed the man's collar and asked.
"Y-Yeah, I can show you the way." He paused for a moment and said with a forced smile on his face.
"But it will cost you 2 gold coins."
Louise didn't say anything as she took a bunch of gold coins from her space ring and stuffed them in his pocket.
"Show me the way." She urged.
On the other hand, the blonde-haired man hurriedly took those coins, placed them in his separate handbag, and started walking towards the nearby street alley.
Both walked on the gloomy passage and soon reached the next street. The blonde-haired man took the lead and continued to walk deep into the dark street.
After arriving at the end of the street, he raised his hand, pointed it towards the nearby alley, and spoke.
"After making the thug blind, she walked into this alley in an unsteady manner."
Meanwhile, Louise widened her eyes for a moment and closed her eyes.
The next instant, an invisible ripple went in every direction and completely covered the whole Vale Street.
At that moment, she saw every slum people's movement and soon zeroed her focus on a lone hut at the end of the alley.
Inside the small hut, she found a barely breathing woman lying on the stone slab, and she appeared to be in an unconscious state!
"Vivian!" She shouted in joy and then waved her hand.
The next instant, a think arc of invisible blade appeared from her right hand and directly decapitated the blonde-haired man's head.
The beggar died without even knowing the reason for his death!
On the other hand, she took a step forward and started moving deep into the alley.
A few minutes later, she appeared in front of a lone hut and opened the wooden door using her [Windy Hand] spell.
The next instant, a loud gasp came out from her mouth as she saw 'Vivian' in a wounded state and ran towards her in a hurry.
Then, she squatted beside her, checked her pulse, and soon went solemn.
'She seems to have lost too much blood. She needs to be treated immediately.' Muttering inwardly, she picked her up using both hands and walked out of the hut.
"Zephyr's Wings."
Two transparent wings appeared behind her as she said those words and flapped on their own.
Louise shot up towards the eerie dark sky a moment later and flew towards the eastern direction at a terrifying speed!
