Chapter 240: Baron Colton
Meanwhile, Oswald stared at Rhea for a moment and soon spoke to Noel.
"It will take some time for her to wake up. Bring her to the other bed and let her finish the trial."
"Yes, Teacher," Noel hurriedly nodded his head, went near her, and took her on his shoulder.
Then, he walked towards the other bed and placed her on it.
In the meantime, Oswald shifted his gaze towards Emilia and spoke calmly.
"If you guys promise us to help her ascend to the throne, your Life Church might gain the foothold in this kingdom like the Day and Night Church. After all, this kingdom only believes in ancestral spirit, so it will be easy for you guys to turn the citizens into your believers."
"I don't think that would be easy, My Lord. Their old tradition is deep-rooted in every citizen's heart. It will take more than 30 years to completely erase the four spirit temples from this kingdom." Andrew responded while shaking his head.
While they were discussing, Archbishop also finished examining Destiny Lady's body condition and turned around.
"It will take more than two weeks for her to wake up." He suddenly paused for a moment as if recalled something and soon continued.
"It's better to inform her condition to the Tower of Elements. Her elder sister must be worrying about her."
"I will send a letter to her." Oswald nodded his head and asked more questions about the other three elemental rings.
Meanwhile, Emilia explained to him one by one and finally spoke.
"We will come back once we got enough information about the remaining three rings, My Lord. After that, we will think of a plan to snatch them back from that successor candidate."
Saying so, she turned around and started walking out of the room.

Andrew and Archbishop Abel also followed after her and soon left the room.
In the meantime, Oswald's expression turned grim.
'Something is wrong about their arrival. Why are they showing interest in Rhea all of a sudden? Moreover, this traditional method has no value at this moment, right? I have to keep an eye on them.' He let out a deep sigh and started walking towards Rhea's bed.
At that moment, Noel already put Rhea on the soft bed and seemed to be in the middle of deep thoughts.
No, he was staring at Rhea's face with concern and worry.
"Where are the other two?" Oswald asked as he appeared beside him and startled him greatly.
"T-They said they are going to do their personal mission, Teacher." Noel woke up from the dazed state and responded in a stutter.
"Good." Oswald nodded thoughtfully and added.
"You should go and tell Ashley to take care of these two."
Saying so, he turned around and started walking towards the exit.
…
End Street, Nobles District.
A four-wheeled horse-drawn carriage drove past mansion buildings and houses and soon stopped at the end of the street road.
Then, a blonde-haired young lady and a brown-haired young man walked out from it.
They were Jessie and Titus!
"34A, Baron Colton's mansion, End Street…." Muttering slowly, Jessie glanced around and soon zeroed her gaze on a particular three-storied mansion.
"Shall we go, sister?" Titus asked as he took a step forward on the dirt road and appeared beside Jessie.
At that moment, he compared his shoulder height with Jessie and sighed in disappointment.
"Where is the blood vial?" Jessie asked with a frown.
As if he was expecting her question, he took out a reddish vial from his pant pocket and passed it to her.
Under Jessie's order, Titus sneaked into all the listed nobles' houses yesterday night and collected their blood stealthily.

If he was just a Rank-2 [Assassin], he could have faced some problem.
But after his Rank-up, he almost became invincible during the nighttime and completed his task without any problem!
Meanwhile, Jessie caught the vial, opened it using her fingers, poured the blood droplets on her palm, and activated her [Blood Curse] skill.
A moment later, her hand glowed in mysterious reddish light and completely absorbed the blood droplets!
"It's done."
Saying so, Jessie adjusted her empire waist dress and started walking towards the entrance gate.
Just as they went near the compound gate, two guards moved their spears and blocked their path.
But after Titus showed Rhea's royal seal, the guards didn't dare to ask any questions and let them in.
The brother and sister duo walked on the concrete pathway, crossed the fountain, and appeared in front of the three-storied building.
At that moment, a black-haired man in his late forties stopped them at the entrance and spoke coldly.
"Commoners and foreigners are not allowed to walk in with shoes on. Remove them and placed them at the entrance."
Although he was just a steward of this small mansion, he didn't even show any courtesy.
Upon hearing his words, both Jessie and Titus got furious.
Thankfully, both of them restrained their emotions and did as he told them.
Upon seeing their reactions, the steward was extremely pleased.
Then, he didn't say anything and started walking in while Jessie and Titus followed after him.
As they reached the reception hall, Jessie took the opportunity and asked in a polite tone.
"We are here to meet Lord Baron, Mr. Steward. Is he home now?"
The steward gave her a deadly stared and spoke in a cold tone.
"Lord Baron only talks to people with noble blood, young girl. Even if you are an attendant of the fake princess, you don't have any qualification to meet-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Titus unsheathed his dagger and placed it on his neck.
"One more disrespectful word, I will not hesitate to cut your hand." An icy voice came out of his mouth.
"And, we are not Rhea's attendant. We are Ancient Mage Oswald's disciples." Jessie added.
"Y-Yes, Young Lady." The black-haired steward got frightened by the brown-haired young man's movement and got stunned.
Even though he was a Rank-2 Mystic, he couldn't follow the young man's hand movement at all!
'This guy is a Rank-3 Mystic!' He was shocked inside.
"We came here to talk with Baron Colton, not to start a fight." Jessie went near the settee sofa, sat on it, and then added with a smile.
"We will wait here."
"Y-Yes," The steward wore a frightened look and hurriedly moved towards the right side corridor.
After some time, he returned with a fat man in his late fifties. Baron Colton had raven black hair, azure blue eyes, and wore a luxurious gown.
He first glanced at Titus and soon moved his gaze towards Jessie.
Unknowing to him, a strange familiarity appeared in his mind.
"May I know your name, Young Lady?" He then went near her and asked in a polite tone.
His politeness surprised the steward!
On the other hand, Jessie stood up from her seat, bent her waist a bit, gave him a slight bow, and responded with a smile.
"I'm Jessie and this is my younger brother Titus, My Lord."
"Jessie… I don't know why, but I feel like I have met you somewhere." Baron said with a confused look before moving towards the opposite sofa and sat on it.

I added the tramtising tag since the whole demon lord thing isn't entirely moral and I guess that's what that tag means, better safe than sorry I guess. This is a rewrite and I still do small edits on earlier chapters for grammar and style every now and then so let me know any critiques you have or even if you just think something is stupid. The whole point of writing this is so I can improve while (hopefully) entertaining some people. My update schedule can be erratic but I will finish this eventually. Eventually being in a few years... I decided to take a break from this while I finish a separate project sorry about that. There are also puppy pictures...you have been warned.

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".
