Chapter 213: Baron Spencer
Charles once again used the [Sleight of Mystery Hand] skill, unlocked the wooden door, and opened it.
Just as he was about to step in, a slight prickling sensation appeared in the depth of his heart.
In the dark, his gaze swept past the plane mirror and soon landed on the Murphy bed.
The next instant, Charles's eyes squinted all of a sudden.
There was no one in the bed!
He took a step forward in confusion, walked towards the center, and glanced around the wide room.
At that moment, he suddenly noticed that the whole room appeared abnormal!
It was as if some layer already enveloped the surroundings.
'Oh? Spencer already knew of my arrival?' He was indeed surprised inside.
He didn't hesitate for a moment as he let out a chuckle and released his wisdom power to the surroundings with precise control.
The next instant, the whole room shook as if a tsunami wave had hit it and soon revealed a separate mirror-like layer.
Charles coldly snorted upon noticing the illusion and increased a bit of his wisdom power towards the surrounding.
The mirror-like layer began to crack a moment later and crumbled into pieces while revealing three figures in return.
One was a 55-year old looking man in a nightgown, while the other two were two women.
Both women appeared elegant, wore black robes, and also had a strange tattoo on their wrists.
'Slaves!' That was the first thought that appeared in Charles's mind.
One was a blonde-haired woman with a slim body, while the other was a silver-haired one with a plump body.
Meanwhile, Baron Spencer was short and stout, had short black hair, a rough face, and wore a stern expression on his face.
"Kill him." Baron roared in anxiety as he noticed that the other party had already broken the illusion.
Just as he finished his words, the blonde-haired woman took a step forward and waved her hand.
The next instant, Charles noticed that woman's figure suddenly turned blurry and turned invisible.
Unlike before, even his wisdom power couldn't perceive her existence!
Simultaneously, the silver-haired woman curled her lips upward and made a unique whistle.
A moment later, a low rhythm echoed in the hall and caused a fluctuation to appear in Charles's Inner World!
The rhythm appeared calm and chaotic at the same time, causing him to groan in pain.

Even the real Charles became stunned for a moment.
'T-This... Her whistle is affecting my Inner emotions! No, it's seemed to be harming my soul form. Is she a Rank-3 [Bard] Class Mystic?' A ruthless gleam appeared in his eyes.
'Kill her first.' He issued an order.
If she were a different Class Mystic, he wouldn't have interfered. But this unique [Bard] class startled him a little.
'I still haven't made contact with my soul form and it's one of my weaknesses. I need to do some research.' He thought inwardly.
On the other hand, the clone Charles calmly nodded his head and cast [Burning Thoughts] on her.
Simultaneously, he cast [False Blink], disappeared from there, and reappeared behind that silver-haired woman.
Upon noticing his disappearance, the silver-haired woman hurriedly took out a short sword from her void pouch, held it in her hand, and ruthlessly slashed it towards her back.
Just as the sword was about to land on the crimson-masked Charles, a thin layer of sunshine layer enveloped his body and blocked it!
A clanging sound reverberated in the master room!
At that moment, Charles then raised his hand, placed his finger on her nape, and was about to cast [Needle of Ember] spell but stopped.
A surge of emotion appeared from the depth of his consciousness and caused him to hesitate.
He heaved a deep sigh as he sensed an unusual emotion and shook his head.
He then made a hand movement and knocked her unconscious.
At this time, Baron Spencer already raised his hand as he focused his gaze on an eerie black ring, pointed his forefinger at Charles, and opened his mouth.
But no words came out!
He suddenly forgot how to speak!
Not only that, but he also suddenly noticed that the eerie black ring was also starting to disappear!
By the time he woke up from the dazed state, shock and disbelief appeared on his face.
'W-What was that?' He was utterly stupefied.
On the other hand, Charles used his [Sleight of Mystery Hand], moved the invisible strings to every direction, and found the blonde-haired woman's location.
A moment later, he once again cast [False Blink], disappeared from there and reappeared near the Murphy bed.
In the meantime, the blonde-haired woman also cast [Mermaid's Gaze] skill on Charles and curled her lips upward.

Unlike the other illusion, this [Mermaid's Gaze] could allow her to bewitch the opponent and make them fall in love with her in an instant!
But before her skill could take effect on the opponent, she suddenly received an obstruction!
In an instant, she realized that her skill's effect became nullified and went wide-eyed!
'His soul power had already reached an abnormal level!' Her body stiffened.
She knew what that represents.
'He is a Rank-4 Existence!' Horror appeared on her beautiful face.
On the other hand, Charles let out a chuckle and nodded his head.
Like before, he casually raised his hand, knocked her unconscious, and caught her before she could fall with both his arms.
Like a gentleman, he glanced at her pretty face, went near the bed, and placed her on it.
He then turned around and zeroed his gaze on the short man.
"W-Who are you?" A trembling voice came out of Baron's mouth as he noticed Charles's gaze.
His two slaves had the strength of Rank-3 Mystic, but they were toyed by this crimson masked figure!
'This guy is definitely a Rank-4 Existence!' A chill crept into his heart.
"Baron Spencer of Fierce Hills, do you have any last words?" Charles's cold voice echoed in the room like a divine sentence.
Meanwhile, Baron Spencer's body shuddered involuntarily.
But soon, he returned to his calm state and asked with a wary expression on his face.
"What do you mean by that, Mister Mage?" His tone contained a trace of fear and anxiety.
While asking, he stealthily slips his hand into his pant pocket and quickly caught a small gem.
Just as he was about to break that gem, Charles suddenly took a step forward and asked.
"Are you a member of Divine Order Organization?"
For a second, Baron Spencer's body shook!
Multiple thoughts about his connection with Divine Order appeared in his mind, but soon all of them began to fade like a mist!
As Charles skimmed through the newly gained information, the corner of his lips curled upward.
"Oh? You only have a connection with an official member of the Divine Order Organization, huh. Still, it's an unforgivable sin."
Saying so, Charles arrived in front of him, gripped his neck, asked few more questions, and started burning his memories about Divine Order.
Meanwhile, a reddish seed appeared within Baron Spencer's Inner World and started burning his memory clouds.
Twenty minutes later, Charles finally released his grip and made him fall.
But unlike the previous times, Charles only burned the selected memories about Divine Order Organization and then fell into deep thoughts.
Among all the memories he extracted from Baron Spencer, a piece of information caught his attention.
'Elder... A mysterious man who called himself 'Elder' is the one who was behind the previous attack... He was the one who gave orders to all the divine order members and also has some connection with Slave Master Neil. Hmm, if I want to find 'Omen,' then this 'Elder' is the only clue.' He nodded thoughtfully and soon turned his gaze towards the confused Baron.
'I already erased Baron's memories about Divine Order Organization... But there are still quite a few men have some tie with this organization.' He furrowed his brows.
'Now, what should I do with him?' A headache appeared in his mind.
'Should I kill him? No, killing won't solve the problem. I need to approach a soft way.' He thought to himself.
'First, I will check if there are some pieces of evidence in his house and send them to...' He abruptly froze.
'Wait... Where should I send them? To Royal Faction? Or, to Nobles' Faction? Or to the Iron Tower?' He thought for a moment and soon chose to give them to Rhea.
Although he doesn't have any right to punish this Baron, Rhea shouldn't have a problem when she ascends to the throne.
'As long as she becomes the Queen of Iron Kingdom, she can use her authority and revoke Baron's title. Not only that, but she can also use her power and execute him to give everyone a warning.' He muttered inwardly and started searching for clues in the mansion.
After a few minutes, he found many of Baron's illegal transactions with Turtle Slave House and neighboring Kingdom's noble, trading receipts of black gems, and so on.
Once Charles collected the sufficient clues, he cast [Flame Teleportation] spell, enveloped his body in a crimson flame, and disappeared from there.

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to my first attempt at writing a novel. I am preparing to participate in the 2017 NaNoWriMo event so enjoy the first chapter as that's here early only to ensure that I have a place to post once the event starts. This means the first novel/book will have a target of 50,000 words. I'm excited to attempt this challenge despite the hurdles I will have to overcome. I do have a demanding full time job so planning time to write and make weekly releases starting in November will be my biggest challenge. Also, please accept my apologies on my cover. I'm not an artist and the only digital tool available at my disposal is the stock microsoft paint. So I did my best to create a decent cover as I did not want to steal the work of another. If there are those interested by the end of November in donating a new fan made cover then I will look into replacing the old cover.
