Child Of Destiny Chapter 554

While Three-Headed Snake and Garuda were battling against each other, there was another battle that was taking place not too far from them.
Bang!
Sildra was sent flying one of Archimedes' attacks after he blocked the arrow with both of his daggers. The power behind that mana-infused arrow was quite strong but Sildra knew that it was much weaker compared to the previous attacks.
"Looks like your attacks are getting weaker and weaker, finally reaching your limit?" asked Sildra with a provoking tone even though he was trying to stabilize his breathing.
'D*mn it! The battle between Garuda and the Snake King is already reaching its end. I need to wrap this up as soon as possible,' he thought to himself after taking a quick glance at the clashing titans in the distance.
After that, he looked in his inventory to check the spherical object resting in a corner. 'Base on what that strange NPC, all I need to do is capture the souls of those two Beasts while they are at their weakest and everything is going to be fine.'
'Though, I also need to be cautious about Siegfried since he seemed to have some control over Dragons based on the information that I got from that Information Merchant.'
'So, he may be able to snatch the Dragon Soul before I can even use it to convert my race into Dragonkin,' he added inside his head before turning his focus back to Archimedes.
On the other hand, the Wingman Archer was trying his best to remain calm and collected as he was aware that he was already reaching his limit.
Keeping up with Sildra's speed was already plenty enough to make his hand full. Archimedes didn't have any space for mistakes since he was aware that he was going to be dead if ever he got caught by his opponent.
Even if he also had a quick speed, he couldn't fully utilize it due to the annoying snakes that kept on chasing and attacking him from different directions.
Given that he needed to split his focus between dodging the snakes, keeping Sildra in check, and finding a clear window to counter-attack. And because of this, Archimedes had more mental exhaustion compared to his opponent.
If only Archimedes could fly in the air more freely, then the one dictating the flow of this battle was most probably him. Unfortunately, he couldn't do it now since his instincts were clearly warning him not to use his wings to fly up in the air.

Meanwhile, Leonard who was watching from the sidelines since the beginning of the fight was starting to get bored sitting around and doing nothing. "This fight is dragging longer than what I've expected."
"Should I get involved now?" he muttered to himself after seeing Archimedes was trying so hard to catch his breathing.
"Oh~! So, this is where you are hiding, Simba! We finally found you."
But while he was still in the middle of thinking about what to do next, an unexpected voice suddenly disturbed his thoughts.
Turning his towards the direction where the voice came from, Leonard couldn't help but knit his brows quite deeply as seemed to recognize the uninvited guests. "Tsk! I was wondering when these guys are going to show up, so they still chose to appear at the most crucial time in the end."
In that direction, Leonard saw a trio of players walking towards him while clearly emitting a hostile aura. It looked like they had no intention of hiding their ill will.
The three of them were all Tigerkins with Master Berserker being their Class. And they seemed to be top-class experts given the aura that each of them was releasing; they might be as strong as Leonard based on that aura alone.
"Hey~! Long time no see, Simba. Remember us?" said the leading Tigerkin with a sneering tone.
Meanwhile, Leonard suddenly raised his eyebrows when he heard that before sneering. "Heh! Stop acting tough. If you guys want to give it a go, then come at me already. I don't have much time for small fries like you."
"Hah~!"
Hearing those words, the faces of the Tigerkin trio immediately became solemn and started taking out their weapons.
"Hahaha! I see that you three are still hot-headed as always!"
And that was the time when a laughing voice suddenly interrupted them.
Looking in that direction, Leonard saw yet another group of experts that was being led by a Wolfkin Master Hunter. "Tsk! Yet another problem is added to the list."
This newly arrived group was composed of eight members. Aside from the Wolfkin on the forefront of the group, there were three more Beastmen in their party; a Tigerkin and Lionkin Master Berserkers, and a Foxkin Master Shaman.
The remaining members of the group were from different races. Standing at the rear was a Human Bishop alongside White Elf Elementalist. Then there was a Fallen Human (Undead) Swordsman standing in front of them.

From the expression that Leonard was making, these guys seemed to be more troublesome than the Wolfkin trio who arrived first earlier.
But the headache that Leonard was having didn't just end there as another group arrived. And they seemed to be no weaker than the previous two.
"Ho-ho! Looks like it is quite lively here. Can we join the fun?" said a Master Berserker who was holding a huge claymore in his hand and resting its blade on his shoulder.
But compared to the other Beastmen known to the public, this particular guy had a different sub-race unlike them. Based on the district features that he had, this guy seemed to be a Bearkin if someone tried to describe him in a single word.
Following behind his man was a group of 4 Beastmen of different kinds; a Wolfkin, a Tigerkin, Lionkin, and a Foxkin. And their classes were also the common classes available to Beastman Race, which were Hunter, Tamer, Berserker, and Shaman.
"Tsk! Even these guys are here?" grunted Leonard before looking at them while saying. "Since it is already like this, how about you also invite the 'Twin Claws' too?"
As if responding with his words, a pair of players suddenly appeared from a different direction. And one of them suddenly answered. "I think I heard our name? Is someone checking attendance?"
"Now I think I'm in deep sh*t," cursed Leonard as he watched the new arrivals make their way toward the 'gathering'.
These two seemed to also have a different type of Beastman. They had slender bodies with yellow furs and black pots on different parts of their bodies.
This duo looked completely identical as even the equipment that they were wearing was also the same as each other. The only difference that they had was the weapons that they had. One of them was holding a pair of daggers on each of his hands while the other was carrying a long spear on his back.
"The 'Cougar Brothers', the 'Great 8 Mountain Dwellers', and the famous 'Predators' – such a dynamic gathering. Even the 'Twin Claw's are even here! This place sure is lively," said a hooded guy who suddenly popped out of nowhere.
"I hope I'm not late for the party," he added sneeringly a brief moment of pause.
But despite hiding his appearance, the other players present in the place seemed to be aware of who he was.
He looked like an easygoing and carefree person, but the surrounding air suddenly turned ice-cold as the others cast their gaze at him.
"OH~! There is no need for hostility. After all, we are all on the same page right now – we currently have the same target, don't we?" said the hooded person as he raised both of his hands.
He then turned his head towards Leonard before continuing. "Though~… I also doubt that predators of different kinds will get along when hunting the same prey."
After that, silence suddenly enfolded the whole place as the tension surrounding them rose uncontrollably.
The atmosphere surrounding the place even affected Archimedes and Sildra who were currently trying to catch their breaths not far from the so-called gathering of experts. They even felt suffocated due to auras being released by the respective sides.
'I don't know what's happening, but I think this is finally my chance to escape from the grasp of that 'Beast',' thought Sildra to himself while getting ready to leave.
Unfortunately, Archimedes seemed to sense what he was planning, so he quickly assumed a battle-ready position once again, planning to prevent Sildra from getting away no matter what.
Meanwhile, that silence surrounding the place lasted for a couple of moments before Leonard started laughing out loud, seemingly full of amusement. "So, I am being treated as your prey now? Interesting!"
BOOM!
But immediately after that, a powerful and heavy pressure was suddenly released from his body, trying to crush the players surrounding him from different directions.
"This is not bad either. After all, I'm already tired sitting here and doing nothing," he said while taking out a pair of battle-axes from his inventory bag.
He then raised his head and swept his sharp gaze at them before saying. "Looks like I need to remind you why I'm called War God: Simba. And it seems like you also forgot why the Primal Kingdom used to fear my name."

Life, the struggle for existence
What would happen when man had to, once again, fight for its own right to live? Would the evolutionary counterparts of our ancestors manage to life through the struggle for survival? What would happen to society if a new reason for living came up, other than the enjoyment of the well-built environment? A reason that could either unite or destroy humanity. This is the struggle for their right of existence. As earth and its inhabitants are faced with the fear of unknown danger and the peril of monstrosities, some will falter, some will die and some will live on to tell the tales of those forgotten. As reality dictates, most will be part of the first two groups and only a small faction will be part of the latter. *This is my first attempt at writing fantasy, so I do hope you’ll enjoy it. The story is one of apocalyptic nature, with gigantic monsters, unfathomable powers and also a critial view on humanity and what it means to be human. I will definitely try to stay away from any tropes that are not neccesary to write fantasy, as I thoroughly despise non-creativity. There shall be no harems, no unrealistic behavior and absolutely no standard scene of dimwitted bandits that try to rob whatever similarly rock-brained princess they encounter. The main character is not black and white, because no human is completely good or completely evil. They’re human, not some idealistic concept of what one is supposed to be. Enjoy!Warning: Tagged 17+ for the occasional strong language and violence, some mild sexual content can occur in the distant future.
