Child Of Destiny Chapter 504

Outside the Ancient Ruins, there was a certain group of players of Demon Race.
At the forefront of the group, Hoawin stood with crossed arms in front of him while staring at the distance where an intense battle was currently taking place.
"To think that he can force Immortal in a corner, that guy sure is someone you can't underestimate," muttered Hoawin while focusing his eyes at Shin who was chasing after Immortal in the air.
"Heh! Forcing the Lich God my *ss! He is just lucky that Immortal can't use his full strength right now due to the consecutive forbidden spells that he used earlier," said a person in the group who had a huge sword hanging on his back.
Hearing that, Hoawin started laughing out loud before sneering at that guy. "Have you forgotten already? The one who forces Immortal to use those forbidden spells consecutively is the same guy that you are currently looking at right now."
He then took a brief pause to give that guy a sneering look before adding. "What's more, that guy is still in the process of 'Evolution', so you better be careful in the future. Who knows? Maybe you are going to be his next opponent."
A few moments later, Haowin suddenly received a message from one of his Immortal's Apostles which made him grin evilly. "Heh! Looks like those wannabees finally realized who they are up to."
"Hehe… I guess they finally woke up from their dreams," said by another person of the group who was playing with a pair of daggers in one of his hands.
"Are you sure that Immortal is not going back on his words? I really can't trust that sly fox," said the previous guy with a huge sword on his back.
Haowin started chuckling a little when he heard those words before saying with a mocking tone. "Whether he likes it or not, he has no choice but to comply with our demands since the Council already made their decision."
He then paused for a moment before continuing with a serious tone. "You already know what your respective jobs are, so move out and accomplish it without committing any mistakes."
After that, the group suddenly dispersed as they went to do their respective tasks.
...…
A few moments later, Arthur and Leonard immediately sensed a few auras that suddenly invaded the corridor.

"Tsk! Looks like we have some uninvited guest, huh?" said Leonard while taking a quick glance at the entrance of the corridor.
"Heh! It is more like the reinforcement that the Undying Guild prepared beforehand," said Arthur sneeringly.
After that, the two of them immediately disregard their current opponents and quickly regroup a few distances away from the opposing group.
"Heyo! It's been a while, Siegfried and Simba," said the man with a huge sword hanging on his back.
Beside him was another person who was wrapped with a lot of bandages on different parts of his body while carrying a huge coffin on his back.
From the auras that they were currently emitting, these two were at least as strong as Arthur and Leonard.
"Looks who are here, aren't those 'Woodcutter' and 'Mummy'? Are the two of you still a member of the cosplay club in school?" said Arthur with a mocking tone before quickly adding. "But can you at least choose better characters? Tsk! It pains me so hard to see your hard work scares the girls instead of attracting them."
The faces of the two immediately turned grim the moment they heard those words from Arthur's mouth.
"Heh! I guess you still have the sharp tongue of yours, huh? Let me see how are you going to keep having that attitude of yours," said the man with a huge sword on his back.
After that, he immediately raised his right hand to reach out for the hit of his sword while glaring sharply at Arthur.
But Arthur just chuckled at him despite hearing that threat from his voice. Then he quickly added while pointing at Immortal's Apostles. "Between those guys' direct 'greeting' and your talks before you act – I rather choose the former since it saves more of my time."
The man with the huge sword was about to lose his cool when he heard those words. Fortunately, he was immediately stopped by the other guy before he could even attack Arthur out of his rage. "Relax, Trynd. Can't you see that he is just provoking you on purpose? Let him say whatever he wants and just focus on our main task at hand."
"Tsk! I know about that already, Amu. You don't have to worry about that, I'm not that idiot," said Trynd while trying to keep his calm.
Seeing that Trynd didn't fall to his provocation, Arthur couldn't help but clicked his tongue before saying. "Tsk! All bark but no bite."

The corner of Trynd's mouth suddenly twitched when he heard those words but still kept his cool, not willing to fall on Arthur's plans.
Knowing that his usual strategy was not going to work, Arthur lowered his voice while talking to Leonard. "Leo, go take on that lumberjack since you are a good match for him. Leave that mummy to me, I can at least counter his skills with my 'Draconic Transformations'."
"Those two will surely keep up busy, so who is going to deal with those guys?" said Leonard with a deep frown while pointing his chin at Immortal's Apostles.
Hearing that, Arthur took a quick glance at his digital clock and saw that there was only a minute remaining before the ceremony was completed.
"Don't worry about them. Our main job is already done, so we can finally enjoy this fight to our hearts' content," said Arthur before releasing his 'Tide Bringer Form'.
While was in the middle of talking, he also received a message from Shiella which made him grin under his help. "What's more, they are not the only ones who have their own reinforcements."
After that, Arthur took out an energy stone from his inventory bag before crashing it instantly.
A moment later, a pillar of light suddenly appeared beside Arthur followed by Harmony, Adept Hands, and Black Hammer walking out from it.
"Whoa! Looks like this place is under renovation. Did we perhaps arrive in the wrong place?" said Black Hammer the moment he saw the cracks on the walls of the corridor alongside the huge craters on the ground.
"And looks like those guys got a good schooling from the young masters," said Adept Hands after seeing the apostles who were struggling to stand up from the ground.
"Do we even need to be here? It looks like everything is already settled on this place," said Harmony with a deep frown.
"Sorry about that," responded Arthur in an instant before quickly adding. "But can you at least keep an eye on those guys? We need to take off some business with those two over there," while pointing from Immortal's apostles to Trynd and Amu in a distance.
"How about doing the other way around?" asked Harmony with a complaining tone.
"Unfortunately, we can't," answered Arthur while taking a couple of steps forward. He then paused his steps for a moment to look over his shoulders while saying. "If you guys get involved directly, then the firm is going to be in a difficult situation."
"So, it is bet-…" Arthur wanted to say something but he was immediately interrupted midway by Leonard who gave him a strong slap on his back.
"Yeah, yeah! They got it already. So, how about dropping the act of being cool and immediately start working, Mr. Hero wannabe?" said Leonard while taking the lead.
"Tsk! Will it kill you if you don't meddle with this?" complained Arthur while glaring at Leonard's back.
"I thought you already found the girl that you are looking for?" asked Leonard sneeringly.
Arthur suddenly became speechless when heard those words from Leonard as he couldn't find a good way to refute his words.
Meanwhile, three chiefs of the Hand of Midas Trading Firm were looking at the duo with amused looks on their faces.
"It is really hard to imagine that those two are the Gods who are being feared by their fellow Gods," said Black Hammer while shaking his head in a helpless manner.
"But they are actually cute in my eyes," said Adept Hands while staring at those two with her arms being crossed in front of her chest.
Harmony couldn't help but sneer at her when she heard those words. "Heh! Just say that you like every strong guy, especially someone with a lot of wealth."
"So, who do you prefer between the two of them? The Corporation Heir or the Streetwise Bad Boy?" she asked while crossing her arms in front of her.
But before Adept Hands could even reply at her, Harmony immediately added with a smirk. "Unfortunately, it looks like they already found their match."
Hearing that, Adept Hands suddenly pursed her lips with knitting her brows. "Hmph!"
On the other hand, Black Hammer suddenly cleared his throat when their conversation reached this point before saying. "Ahem! I guess I fit on the bill of being strong and wealthy."
Unfortunately, the response that he got was not what he was expecting. And their responses really hit a sore spot.
"Shut up! You don't have their looks!"
"You are not handsome!"
