Child Of Destiny Chapter 429

...…
The ongoing war at the Solomon Kingdom paused as the two sides seemed to have a silent agreement and halted all of their attacks.
But that peaceful atmosphere only lasted for until dawn before the rebelling side started attacking once again. And naturally, the loyal citizens on the other side would not let these traitors run wild and do whatever they wanted.
Given that, another war was started between the two sides. And this time, this battle was not a chaotic battle unlike earlier – but a real war between two parties where strategic planning was involved.
Due to these war tactics involved, the whole Solomon Kingdom became a complete warzone where didn't kind of battles were occurring everywhere. And during these battles, both sides were able to gauge the real strength behind the opposing forces.
At first, the side of King Jesse was the one who had the clear advantage. Not only because they had the quantity, but also due to the quality of warriors on their side. The forces of the traitor didn't amount much compared to the forces behind the top four aristocratic families of the Solomon Kingdom.
But not long after, the leaders of the main forces of these families noticed that there was something amiss. Their forces on some of the battlefields where they were sure that they were going to win suffered an unexpected defeat.
And it is not just an ordinary defeat, but a crushing one where not even a single person managed to come out alive.
Noticing this, the leaders send some of their trusted aides to those battlefields to see what was going on. Not long after, they discovered that there were some powerful Martial-Artists involved.
The family leaders knew that these Martial-Artist were not some mercenaries hired by the noble families on their other side. It was because their aides reported that these experts seemed to be fully trained in battle and executing the orders given to them.
Due to that, one of the leaders made a move on his own; and this guy was 'Caesar Fireheart'. He personally went on a certain battle without telling the others before capturing one of those experts and brought him to their current 'command center'.
And when he arrived, the others became surprised at his actions since they were also planning to do the same. And due to that, they couldn't help but shake their heads a little.
Then the other leaders looked at Miranda, the leader of the 'Kurie Family', indicating that it was her time to do her job. And when she saw the looks on their faces, she started shaking her head a little more before dragging the poor victim guy for integration.

It didn't last long for her to get the information that she wanted. After all, her specialty was seeing through someone else's mind and learning about all of their fears. And due to that, torturing someone emotionally became much easier for her.
And when the group learned who the hidden force that was supporting the other side, they couldn't help but become furious.
"I knew it! That is why I really don't want to trust those guys!" said Gideon while slamming the table and destroying it.
"Should we attack them directly? I mean, we already know where they are hiding their command center, so it shouldn't be a problem right?" suggested by Marth as he tightly gripped his sheathed sword.
But the idea was immediately rejected by Thomas. "That is just being reckless. Based on the information that we got, this military unit who managed to sneak in here was not ordinary. And given the strength of their experts, those guys seemed to be the rumored special squad working directly under the higher-ups of the government."
Hearing him, Miranda nodded her head before adding. "If that is the case then that secretive group, True Order', may really be involved. After all, these special units that we are dealing with are only working under the order of the higher-ups just like them."
"Tsk! So, what if they are strong? We are not that weak either. What's more, rumors tend to be inaccurate and exaggerated," said Gideon while crossing his arms in front of his chest.
Then he took a brief pause to turn his head at Marth before asking. "Right, Marth?"
Marth didn't open his mouth to give his reply but he slightly nodded his head, indicating that he was agreeing with what Gideon had said.
"Tch! These muscleheads who only know nothing but battle," Miranda clicked her tongue after hearing those words. Then she glared at the two before scolding them. "Don't you know how serious our current situation is?"
She paused for a moment to point at the silent Spiritual Master sitting on the head seat before continuing. "Even the 'Omniscient Eyes' of our Spiritual Master are ineffective against those guys. Meaning, those guys had someone who is strong enough to negate such powers."
Thomas nodded his head repeatedly before adding. "What's more, there is also that guy who disguises himself as one of the nobles. If such a guy is able to avoid getting caught by the 'Omniscient Eyes' for all those years, then he is also someone that we needed to take note of."

"Moreover, he is also able to evade our sharp senses, despite staying with us for a long time. So, I am suspecting him to possess a 'divinity grade Mental Energy', if he is not as strong as our king."
Hearing those words, both Gideon and Marth suddenly turned silent as they finally calmed down. And right after that, the whole room followed after them and immediately enfolded with silence.
A moment later, the family heads turned their heads at the Spiritual Master, asking for his opinion. But the latter didn't immediately reply to them and continued to remain silent.
Unable to be silent for this long, Gideon was about to open his mouth to say something. But before he could even voice it out, the Spiritual Master suddenly opened his eyes before saying. "There is no need to make more plans since those guys choose to take the initiative to show themselves."
The others were quite confused at first when they heard those words, but they immediately understood what he was implying the moment they sensed a group of powerful auras coming from a certain distance.
Due to that, they simultaneously turned their heads in the direction where those auras were coming with their squinting eyes. Those eyes seemed to be able to see through the walls as they saw the group of people standing in the air and were also looking back at them.
...…
Standing at the air above the walls of the ruined castle, the six members of the 'True Order' were currently watching the sight below them with interested eyes. And standing alongside them was the spy that the World Government had planted at the Solomon Kingdom and disguised as a noble.
They were standing so openly in the air but it seemed like the other Mentalists below didn't even notice them. But it was different to the family heads who were originally having a meeting just earlier.
And when they saw that the other side noticed them, the muscular man of the group suddenly whistled before saying. "Well, looks like this is gonna be interesting."
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
A moment later, the family heads together with the Spiritual Master suddenly appeared a few meters away from them and glared at these uninvited guests full of hostility.
Meanwhile, the opposing side seemed to be smirking at them as they threw some provoking looks at their opponents.
And standing there, each member of the respective groups seemed to be choosing their respective opponents.
Gideon was glaring at the dark-skinned muscular man of the opposing side while the latter seemed to be throwing him a provoking look on his face.
Meanwhile, Marth had his eyes fixed at the man who was hugging a sword from the other side. There was even some battle intent leaking out from his body as he was too eager to fight. At the same time, that guy was also looking back at him with the same battle intent.
On the other hand, Miranda was knitting her eyebrows when she saw the only woman in the opposing group. For some unknown reason, she seemed to be disgusted seeing this girl. But the latter seemingly had an opposite thought in mind. When she saw Miranda, she couldn't help but wet her lips with her tongue as she finally found something interesting in this place.
At the same time, Thomas was looking at the spy guy who seemingly didn't have any interest in this fight. And when he saw Thomas looking at him, he couldn't help but release a mocking chuckle as if he found it ridiculous.
While the other four pairs were having an imaginary contest in their minds, Caesar and the leader of the opposing group were currently looking back at each other with their calm eyes. And after a moment, they simultaneously smirked at each other as if they found each other as the same type of person as them.
In the meantime, the Spiritual Master of the Solomon Kingdom was currently frowning his eyes while looking at the final member from the opposing side.
Being someone who possessed the 'Omniscient Eyes', he tended to see through everything who didn't have a 'divinity grade Mental Energy protecting them. But for some unknown reason, he could read this certain guy despite not being a Mentalist. And due to that, he was sure that this guy was the most dangerous member of the opposing group. So, he needed to be careful this time.
Due to these experts facing each other, the atmosphere surrounding the whole place suddenly turned heavy as if nature itself became aware of the strong storm that was about to come.
