Child Of Destiny Chapter 391

...…
BOOM!
Shin and the others created a huge mess in the 'party' while taking down their opponents. And when they managed to beat the first batch of their enemies, Shin immediately gave an order.
"Jillian, start waking up the guest with the cleansing talisman that you have and evacuate them together with Angela."
"Leo, you come with me. We are dealing with the enemy's backups."
Hearing that, the other three immediately started moving according to his instructions.
Jillian immediately stood at the very center of the hall before sitting on it in a lotus position. After that, she took a talisman from the little belt bag on her waist and held it in between her right-hand index and middle finger while channeling a bunch of Mental Energy on it.
Meanwhile, Angela quickly went beside her to stand on guard.
A moment later, the talisman that Jillian suddenly released an intense glow before turning into a bunch of little lights that fell on each of the guests lying on the ground. After a few more seconds, those guests started regaining their consciousness and slowly stood up from the ground.
Angela waited for a few more seconds before saying with a very loud voice. "Everyone! The party is being attacked by a group of terrorists! We need to get out of this place as soon as possible!"
The guests were still in dazed state due to the remaining sleeping gaze in their system but when they saw that armed men knocked down on the ground, each of them immediately came back to their senses.
Seeing that, Angela couldn't help but curse a little with their reaction. 'Tsk! This mission is going to be much easier if only these idi*ts are going to believe us if we said that this party is just a scheme set up by the Shadow Alliance in the very first place.'
Regardless, she still said to them. "This is not the time to be dazing around here. There are still a lot of terrorists outside, we need to get out of here as soon as possible!"
After that, she immediately led the guests towards one of the exits together with Jillian who just stood up from sitting.
On the other hand, Shin and Leonard were currently busy taking down a lot of agents from the opposing side.
"This side is already clear. Which side do we need to take care next?" asked Shin at the mic after knocking out another agent.
"This is odd. There are a very few agents around anymore. It seems like the rest of them suddenly disappeared," answered by the operator from the other side of the line.

Hearing that, Shin suddenly frowned his eyebrows for he also felt that there was something odd going on. And it didn't take long for him to realize what it was when he heard Arthur's words. "Yeah. The control room is also not heavily guarded. In fact, the agents here are bottom class."
And to further prove his suspicion Shin suddenly asked. "Are there any data that we can download from that room?"
Hearing that, Arthur took a look at Molton who was currently busy typing in front of the multiple virtual monitors in front of him. At the same time, the pupils of his eyes kept moving left and right as he scanned the data shown by those virtual screens.
A moment later, Molton responded at Arthur's gaze. "I think we have been tricked, Senior Brother. All of the data here are useless information that we already know. Such as the family backgrounds of each of the guests attending this party."
Naturally, Shin had heard those words and immediately cursed. "D*mn it! Arthur, you two need to get away from there right now. We are going to gather everyone at the rendezvous point later."
After that, he looked at Leonard and said. "Leo, go after Jillian and Angela, and help them evacuate the guests."
"Lorraine, you too. Support their sides too," he added while talking on the mic.
Shin was about to go towards another direction when he suddenly heard Leonard's words. "And you?"
Shin paused for a moment before saying. "I am going to support Arthur and Molton. If my suspicion is right, then these guys' real intention is to capture those guests but to kill everyone present in here.
"Just go after them for now. I will explain the rest while we are on our way," he added while running towards the location where Arthur and Molton were at.
And while he was running, he suddenly heard Arthur saying. "So, why are these guys planning to kill everyone here?"
Hearing that, Shin immediately replied. "What else? It is to start a real war."
– "What!?" – the others became too shocked when hearing those words.
"And why are they going to do that?" asked Jillian with a solemn expression on her face.
"To destroy the current balance that the world had," replied Shin almost instantly. And before the other could ask anything, he immediately added. "I am not talking about the so-called peace that we currently had. What I am talking about is the balance that each of the government currently has."

"For example, the hierarchy of the Soaring Continent's Military Circle. In that circle, there are two major divisions – the side composed of the Aristocratic Families, Mentalist Families and Martial-Art Families who had talented individuals that possessed 'Bloodline Powers' and other forms of Peak-Class Talents."
"On the other hand, the other division had the families which were composed of the slightly weaker families who don't have a long history of having any special powers."
"There has always been a line dividing this to sides called 'Talent'. And that is the reason most of the younger generations of the weaker families loathed the others with unrivalled talent."
"Regardless of the difference, the weaker families are still able to nurture some talented individuals. They are even spending a lot of their resources to grow those people, hoping that those talents are the ones that will make their families rise in status."
Reaching this point, Shin's face suddenly turned solemn before continuing. "But imagine if all of their hard-earned talents suddenly died out of nowhere?"
Hearing that, the others suddenly felt a shiver run through their spines. And to make it even worse, Shin suddenly added. "A revolt is going to be raised by those weaker families which is going to lead into a lot of internal conflicts on our Military Circle."
"And while all of that is going on, those hungry underworld organizations are going to start pulling a lot of those families towards their side."
"And that is the real big 'profit' that the Shadow Alliance is aiming for after losing a lot of their research laborites in our Region."
At this point, the faces of the others became even more solemn as they could already picture the outcome if everything went according to the Shadow Alliance's plan.
And in the midst of that heavy atmosphere, Shin suddenly added. "And another thing. Don't let your guards down, Jillian and Angela."
"Those underworld organizations have always been cunning. They always had a backup plan after a backup plan. So, make sure to be on guard against every guest on your side. There is a high chance that those guys planted an agent among those guests."
Hearing that, the two girls nodded their heads heavily. Then they looked at each other sending some eye signals on each other.
With that, Jillian spread her Mental Energy on their surroundings. She also made sure not to make it too suspicious for the others. She made it look like a scanning energy that would look out for their enemies' ambush.
Meanwhile, Angela slowed down her pace and let the others overtake her. And when she was finally on the rear end of the group, she started sweeping her gaze at everyone, trying to see if she could spot the spy mixed in the group.
...
In the meantime, Arthur finally encountered their real opponents.
"Well, well, well… Look who is here. Isn't it the famous Golden Dragon of the 32nd floor of the All-gamer's Gym?" said by a muscular young man blocking Arthur's path. Behind him was a group of young agents who seemed too eager to fight.
Seeing this muscular guy, Arthur suddenly frowned his eyebrows a little before smirking. "Oh~! What a coincidence! To think that I will meet this gorilla in here? You save a lot of my time to look for you."
Hearing that, the muscular guy suddenly grinned at Arthur while saying. "Is that so? Did you already forget that you almost died in my hands?"
Arthur started laughing when he heard those words and said. "Don't make me laugh, Nicolas. If not for that underhanded trick of yours, then you are already suffering in the Military special prison."
After that, he whispered at Molton. "Leave this gorilla to me, Junior Brother. I have a score to settle with him. Go play with the small fries for a moment."
"But make sure to be careful, I can feel that there is someone with a decent strength hidden in their group. You can also just buy some time until Shin arrives here."
Molton immediately nodded his head when he heard that. "Yes, Senior Bother."
Then both of them immediately made their moves.
Arthur released 'Eternal Flame Internal Qi' from the get-go while putting a special mask on the lower part of his face.
Meanwhile, Molton released a powerful Mental Energy and let it surround his body while rotating in a fast circular motion.
At the same time, the opposing side also released their respective Internal Qi while getting ready to fight.
And due to all of that, the whole place was suddenly enfolded by a very gloomy atmosphere which indicated the heavy storm that was about to come.

And most importantly can I figure out who I am and what's going on? I'm not sure but I'm going to try. Hey everyone I'm fairly new to writing novles and this is my first time ever putting my work on a site like this one. I hope you enjoy the story and would appreciate your feedback. I would ask that you read through at least a couple of chapters before leaving a rating. I know I have some trouble with grammer and how I structure some of my sentences and while feedback on that is appreciated what I would value most is feedback on the story as a whole in terms of how the plot works and if you are enjoying it or not.
