On their way towards the target location, Shin and was currently explaining the new plan that Nathan had instructed them. "From what Uncle had said, the other side seems to be aware of our movements now. It seems that we got another mole on our side."
He paused for a moment before continuing. "Though, Uncle is now using that mole in our advantage."
"So, what is the plan now?" asked Jillian while checking her makeup on a mirror.
Shin gave her a sidelong glance before answering. "Big Sis and her group are most likely going to be targeted later – they may even get ambush before they can reach the location."
"But Uncle already predicted that. So, he draws a plan where Big Sis and her group are going to be a diversion while we are the ones to sneak in the party instead."
Hearing that, Leonard suddenly asked. "Isn't it quite risky for us? We don't know the level of security on that party."
"It is fine. Given that the other side is probably aware that Big Sis is in the other group, I am pretty sure that Uncle is confident that those guys are going to send the 'Junior Lion King' to ambush her group," answered Shin with a deep tone.
Then the expression that he was having suddenly turned solemn as he thought to himself. 'I just hope that the other side is not going to send their young agents along with the ambushing group.'
While Shin was in the middle of his thoughts, a familiar voice suddenly sounded inside his head. "Looks like we are on the same page."
Shin was suddenly taken aback when he heard that. 'This voice! Senior Brother!'
Shin immediately turned his head left and right, trying to find the owner of the voice. He even tried spreading his Mental Energy secretly while looking. But regardless, he still couldn't find David no matter how hard he tried.
Jillian and Molton felt flowing Mental Energy in the air, so they immediately turned heir heads at Shin and looked what he was up to. But after seeing that he was just scanning their surroundings, they thought that he was only doing that for safety purposes and quickly ignored it.
While Shin was looking, the voice suddenly sounded inside his head once again, saying. "Don't bother looking, you will never be able to find me given that current strength of yours."

Hearing that, Shin immediately retrieved his Mental Energy before talking inside his head. 'Alright, alright. So, why are you here? Are you the so-called backup?'
"Well, you put it that way since my task is to ensure all of your safety," replied David.
Shin thought for a moment before asking. 'So, what do you think about this current situation? You are quite familiar at dealing with underworld organizations, right? Do you have anything to suggest?'
"If you are asking me if I should be assisting your Big Sis instead of being here, then I am sorry to tell you but I can't do that even if I wanted to. My job right now is to protect you guys and nothing else. Other than that, is out of question. So, forget it," replied David before adding in his mind. 'I can disobey anyone whenever I want-..... but that exclude my master and her scary husband.'
Hearing that reply, Shin suddenly fell into a deep thought. And after a moment he suddenly asked. 'But what if we are safe in the first place?'
David suddenly raised one of his eyebrows the moment he heard that and asked. "What do you mean?"
'Your sudden appearance and you sticking around me, keep on bugging me for a while now. But I am not going to ask you about that since I can tell that you have your own reasons,' replied Shin while putting his hands together before resting his chin on it.
David raised his eyebrows even further when he heard those words. He was about to say something but Shin immediately opened his mouth first before he did. 'Putting that aside, I am sure that you have your own means to get out in any kind of troublesome situations given that you are too confident at provoking a lot of underworld organizations – despite you being all alone.'
Hearing all of that, David couldn't help but wear a bitter smile on his lips before saying. "I don't like where this is going."
'I am not asking much, just a way to ensure the success of the two groups that we have. I know that Uncle made some preparations, but there are still some things that keep on making me uncomfortable in this mission,' asked Shin.
David didn't immediately give his reply as he didn't want accidents to happen at Shin; especially that he was going to be in great trouble if ever something unpleasant happened to this troublesome smart guy.

Thinking about his outcome if something happened to Shin, David rejected the idea of replying to him. But when he started to feel very uncomfortable with the silence that Shin was making, he immediately gave in the pressure and cursed to himself. "D*mn it! You are really their son for giving such pressure despite not saying anything!"
Given that, he immediately said. "Aright! You win! But promise me that you are going to retreat if everything suddenly goes south!"
Hearing that, Shin suddenly smirked before saying. 'Isn't that obvious?'
David gritted his teeth before snapping his fingers. Together with that, a thin deck of yellow papers suddenly appeared at the inner pocket of Shin's tux.
Shin felt a fluctuation of Mental Energy on his inner pocket and took a look at it. And when he saw the thin bundle of yellow papers, David's voice sounded inside his mind once again. "Those are 'Mentalism Talismans' with 'Teleportation Formation' drawn in them. You can rip those things off to escape from any dangerous situation that you are in."
"Those are top class talismans that can even bypass any Sealing Formation below Exalted Rank that can trap you. So, you better make a good use of them."
He paused for a moment to sit up straight and stretched his waist a little before continuing. "Distribute one to your teammates so that you guys can use them as your escaping tool. I already set those talismans' coordinates on your house, so all of you are going to be teleported straight to that place once you use them."
Then he stood up from where he was sitting before reminding Shin. "I am telling you once again, use those talismans as soon as possible once you encounter a strong opponent that you can't take. Or else, not one can save you."
'Tch! I told you, I am not a persistent idiot who will stubbornly try winning an impossible battle. I am rational enough to retreat if the situation calls for it,' replied Shin while having a bitter smile.
"I am glad to know," said David before looking at his front. In the distance, he could see a fancy building. That place was the target location where the so-called party was going to be held.
"The Leon Tribe sure knows how to pick a place for a 'war'. Choosing this resort which was very far from the City? Not that bad," sneered David before turning his head below.
He was actually standing on top of the van that Shin and the others were riding.
He activated his ocular technique so that he could see through the roof of the van. Then he saw Shin distributing the talismans that he gave before explaining to the others how to use them.
After that, David closed both of his eyes and spread his Mental Energy to the surroundings, trying to see if he could sense any enemies in the vicinity. And once he made sure that there was no ambush lying in wait for Shin and the others, he immediately hopped in the air before disappearing in the shadows of the night.
A few more minutes later, Shin and the others finally arrived at their desired location. And after parking their fancy van in the very secluded part of the parking lot, Shin and the sneaking group finally got off the van.
"I am not asking you to follow all of my orders since I am not the captain of his team, but please make sure to prioritize your safety if some accidents happened," whispered Shin on the hidden mic attached to his collar.
Everyone nodded their heads heavily after hearing him. And when Shin saw that, he immediately added. "You guys already know your respective tasks, so let's already have this operation started."

Meanwhile, on the road that Shiella's group was taking, an armed group of men was currently blocking their path.
Inside the military vehicle, Shiella stared at them for a moment before saying. "So, they are not planning to hide for an ambush? Heh! Quite confident, huh?"
After that, she turned her head to the side, looking over her shoulders while saying at the group behind her. "Looks like we don't need to arrive at the resort anymore since the other side wants to hold the 'party' right on this place."
Then she turned her head back in front to look at the leader of the opposing group while saying. "Alright, boys and girls! Get your *sses ready since we are going to play with then right here right now."
Next, a huge grin was suddenly formed with her lips as she added. "Let's get this party started."

A Beginner's Guide to Napping, Sunbathing, and Slaughtering Your Prey
Fang is a simple cat. Fang likes napping in the sun. Fang does not like being called Chairman Meow. Fang likes his belly being scratched for precisely 17.329 seconds. Fang does not like being punted between dimensions. Fang likes hunting and killing defenseless wildlife. Fang does not like mysterious blue boxes that appear out of thin air. Fang is having a Very Bad Day. A few things to note: Fang is a cat soul in a cat body, and that's not going to change any time soon. No cat girl evolution or possessed puppet or any of that. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. There is no epic tale here, only a cat doing cat things in a (hopefully) interesting setting. The game elements are pretty light, mostly there for flavor, so don't expect a huge amount of crunch. Nature is cruel, and cats are crueler than most.

Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
