Soul For A Girlfriend? Chapter 47

I was getting dressed for school. The buttons of my shirt were still open and my tie was lying on the computer table beside my mobile. I picked up my mobile to check for any new text from Yasurouka because last night she ghosted me while texting, so I assumed that I might have pissed her off. But there were still no texts, and she left my last text on read.
I sighed, since things were not really going my way and it was making me feel useless. I started buttoning my shirt. As I was about to pick up my tie, the door to my bedroom flung open and a very restless Lilith entered my room. This is the last thing I needed. Having to talk with her and ruin my day.
"Hey! How could you… talking with me ruins your day!? Huh!?" She charged at me.
"Nevermind. Did you need something?"
"Ugh, what's with that attitude?" She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips.
"Just a bit stressed, don't mind me." I said, while wearing my tie and adjusting it around my neck.
"Well… I just want to sleep. Bye!" she waved her left hand at me followed by her jumping on my bed and burying her face in my pillow.
"You're quite lazy, aren't you?"
"No, it's just that I get exhausted easily since your world doesn't have what I need." She said, while peeking at me from behind the pillows.
"Mana? Right?" I said as I buttoned the sleeves of my shirt and ran my left hand through my hairs to give them a shape as they were messy.
"Hmmmu" She nodded her head up and down. I proceeded to exit my bedroom and heard her say, "Have a trashy day ahead." Which was followed by her laughter.
And she wonders why talking with her will ruin my day.

How ironic.
After eating my breakfast, I picked up my bag and left for school. Early in the morning, I feel really lethargic since I wasn't a morning person, to be honest. I would feel really energetic at night but during the day, it's the complete opposite.
I was waiting for the green light to change into red so that I could cross the road. I could see several other students around me too. Some were wearing the same uniform as me, while others were from different schools. I yawned while covering my mouth and noticed that the crowd around me started to move. The light was red for the cars, so I also crossed the road.
Getting on the other side, I took out my mobile and checked the time. I still had a lot of time in my hand so I took out my earphones and plugged it in my mobile. I started walking slowly while browsing for a pleasant song from my playlist to accompany my journey. I finally found a song which I can vibe with. It was from my favourite artist. Even though my face was blank from outside, I was literally dancing to this song inside my head.
"Ora! Saishi" I heard a faint voice call my name over the music. I took out the earplug from my right ear and turned around towards the direction that voice came from. I noticed the figure of Gaisen jogging towards me as his bag, which was slung on his right shoulder, was frequently moving back and forth.
Well. it seems like I won't be able to listen to the song anymore. I put my earphones back in my bag and waited for him to catch up with me.
"Yo, Good Morning." He greeted me while breathing a bit heavier.
"Morning" I raised my left hand to greet him.
We started walking together towards school. There wasn't much to talk about, since he would talk about his football practice and I would just listen to him. He wasn't an otaku like Tsumen, so I could chat about anime and manga with him. I don't know how we became friends, to be honest. We didn't have much in common, still we vibed well together. To put it in simpler terms, he was the complete opposite of me.

"You know, I think I pissed Yasurouka-san, yesterday." I said.
"Why is that?" He said, while chuckling.
"You know… like she didn't want to talk about herself… still insisted her to."
"Ah, don't worry. She is like that sometimes." He said with an awkward smile.
"I see, so getting ignored by her over text is normal, right?"
"Yeah, she probably fell asleep while texting you."
"Ah… speaking from experience, eh?"
"Kind of, yeah" He said, and the walk continued for a few moments with complete silence between us. I decided to ask him something, since it looks like he has an idea what she is like.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Hmm?" He glanced at me.
"I noticed something while talking to her."
"No...notice? Like what?" He looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"Is she alright? Like have you seen anything out of blue with her behaviour?"
"Out of blue?" He tilted his head and tried to think of something. I decided not to say anything, since it might disrupt his train of thoughts. I looked forward as we kept walking.
"I don't know to be honest. You should ask Koi." He advised, and then looked at me confused. "Wait… why are you so interested in her suddenly?"
"Uhh… it's not what you think."
"But I didn't even say anything." He gave me a side glance with a mischievous smile.
"Bruh-"
"It's okay. I know she is cute. Go for her."
"Wait, wait, wait… how did you jump to this conclusion?" His comment baffled me.
"Oya, it's not like that?" He looked at me with a raised eyebrow in a questioning manner.
"Yes, I was just curious."
"Oh… come on, you're not the type of person to get curious about somebody." He said as he slung his left hand around my shoulder and pulled me towards him. I didn't say anything as he kept staring at me with a smug.
"Huh… that explains why you have been talking with her so much lately." He nodded.
"Come on, spill the beans!" He said in a louder voice that attracted the attention of the students around us as were inside the campus right now.
"Oi, volume down. I'll tell you, just let go of me." I said nonchalantly.
"Yes!" He said with much enthusiasm. Why are he and Tsumen, both of them, so interested in my love life? We walked inside the building and were now standing near our lockers. I quickly changed into my school shoes and went near his locker, since I couldn't risk saying this out loud.
"I don't know as of now, but I may actually like her." I gave a vague answer. I could tell by his face that he wasn't satisfied with my answer.
"Ugh, lame. I was expecting something else." He sighed.
"Like?"
"Nothing." He said while wearing his slipper from his locker.
"Ah, make sure you don't tell this to anyone." I said.
"Of course, my best friend is finally interested in someone. No matter how excited I'm after listening to this, I'll keep it with me." He patted my shoulder and we headed for our class.
I know that he'll keep his words since he wasn't someone who would go around spilling someone else's secrets.

Saga of the Storm Wizard
Rose Cooper had always been told she has a lot of potential as a wizard cadet. Too much, in fact; her weather magic frequently ran wild when her emotions got the better of her. That was why the mission to uncover a lost magical artifact in the Spratly Islands was perfect for her. They were no man's land, abandoned by both the demonic Grim Horde and the human Anti-Demonic League. All Rose would have to do to do was keep the weather under control. All of that talk of the Spratly Curse was just superstition and nonsense spread by bored sailors. If only. Evil wore many masks, as Rose was about to discover. Warning: This story contains elements that some readers may find disturbing, and minor language. Think of it as a PG-13 rating. This series is a spinoff of the Confessions of the Magpie Wizard series. As such, it contains spoilers for the main series. I have attempted to write it so that you could start here without reading the original story. [Schedule is currently a bit borked due to poor health, looking to finish up the first section of this book by the end of the year then back to a regular schedule in January] This is a kitchen sink space opera. It originated off me lamenting the lack of witches in space and has spiraled out of control from there.
