My Passive Skills Are Invincible! Chapter 128

After all, Mike was a 30-year-old veteran gamer, so he naturally had the habits of a gamer.
When all the NPCs in the world suddenly received a certain piece of information, it would essentially be recognized as a version event.
In other words, it was a habit.
This situation was very much like an irresistible supreme will controlling the thoughts of the NPCs in Second World.
As mentioned before, the friendliness setting was also the same.
After Mike learned of this, he asked again,
"Then, where did you get the news that the king is coming to attack?"
"It was someone I positioned in the City of Light who told me."
This time, the shirtless bald man answered very decisively.
Mike nodded.
A situation like this was not considered a version event.
The first piece of news could be understood as something that could not be defied or changed.
The whole world would know about the appearance of the Fire Blade Gang. There was no way to stop it. It could not be hidden even if one wanted to.
The second piece of news was not a version event.
This was a consequence of the subsequent events.
That was why the bandit leader had "received information from his underlings" and not "found out about this matter out of the blue".
Just as he was thinking, the shirtless bald man spoke again.
"The king's army might arrive here soon. Do we need to discuss a countermeasure first?"
Hearing the word "countermeasure", Mike was a little surprised.
After all, the image of this guy in front of him had nothing to do with wisdom.
Look at him.
He was shirtless, bald, and had long scars on his face and body.
He also looked fierce and looked like he had been living a life of bloodshed.
What countermeasures could such a person come up with?
Mike could not help but ask,

"What do you have in mind? Please tell us and let us hear it."
The shirtless bald man said,
"I think we should strike first and attack the City of Light directly. How about this?"
Hearing this, before Mike had time to react, the bandit leaders applauded and cheered.
"This plan is not bad. I think we can do it!"
"It sounds good. If we can take down the City of Light, won't we be able to be the king?"
"It's not your turn to be the king. We must definitely let the boss of the Fire Blade Gang be the king! But we can all be nobles!"
"Hahaha, become nobles? I like it!"
The leaders of the bandits discussed among themselves, and their underlings behind them were also excited.
If their boss became a noble, then they, as underlings, would definitely gain a lot of benefits.
In the future, there would be no need to go through so much trouble to rob money. It would be more convenient to directly rob the shops in the city!
These bandits were very excited, but the members of the Fire Blade Gang were stunned.
Since the beginning, they had been in a state of confusion.
'These guys actually wanted to attack the City of Light?
'Are they crazy?
'We're just bandits!
'Moreover, why would they let the boss of our Fire Blade Gang be the king?
'Is it because our boss is God Slayer?
'If that's the case, it makes sense...'
The Fire Blade Gang thought to themselves.
Because they were now part of Mike, in theory, they were not an independent NPC organization of Second World, but an organization of players.
Therefore, they were not affected by the "version event".
The Fire Blade Gang could not understand these bandits' arrival and the many comments they made upon their arrival.
They had no idea that the Fire Blade Gang used to be the core gang of the Bandit Alliance.

They could not imagine that these bandits, who totaled up to a large number of people, actually came to rely on the Fire Blade Gang.
To them, the Fire Blade Gang was just a small gang. They usually stole a little money so they could live on.
As for the bragging of the former leader, Anderson, everyone naturally never believed it.
Now that so many bandit groups had come to rely on the Fire Blade Gang, they had understood it as the bandits coming here to rely on God Slayer.
Otherwise, it would not make sense.
Since that was how they understood it, they usually acted in a small-scaled manner.
As for attacking the City of Light, they were naturally unwilling.
The city, the rule of the royal family, the army.
These were all at a different level from them.
In their eyes, those were all high and mighty forces that could not be resisted.
So, they all looked at their new leader, God Slayer.
They hoped that God Slayer would reject this proposal.
Even though their new leader was lawless, evil, and even dared to massacre a large number of people in Victory City.
'Please don't agree, I beg you.'
They thought in their hearts.
The next moment, Mike finally raised his hand and signaled for everyone to listen to him.
Indeed, everyone quieted down and waited for Mike to speak.
"Everyone, as the new leader of the Fire Blade Gang, I will naturally think of everyone.
"However, there is one thing I want to make clear to everyone first.
"That is, we absolutely can not attack the City of Light!"
Hearing this, the members of the Fire Blade Gang let out a sigh of relief.
Thank god, their boss had not gone crazy.
The other gang members showed disappointed expressions, and some of them were even a little dissatisfied.
There were at least 10,000 bandits here, what was there to be afraid of?
If the leader of the Bandit Alliance was not Mike but someone else, they might have already started a rebellion.
However, God Slayer was a worthy villain, so they chose to accept it.
At least they could listen to the thoughts of God Slayer first.
After Mike said that, he deliberately paused for a moment, to see everyone's reaction.
Seeing that no one protested, he continued.
"Although we can't attack the City of Light, it doesn't mean that we're afraid!
"If the king wants to bring people to attack us, then we'll fight them directly!"
Hearing this, the bandits revealed excited expressions.
Good, that's right!
If he did not have this kind of courage, how could he be qualified to be the leader of the Bandit Alliance?
So what if it was the King? Fight them!
The other members of the bandit group thought so, but the members of the Fire Blade Gang were so scared that their faces turned pale.
'Didn't we agree not to fight just now?
'Why are we suddenly going to fight again?
'Is it too late to run away now?'
Everyone's mood was played by Mike's words.
If Mike wanted them to be excited, they would be excited.
If Mike wanted them to be nervous, they would be nervous.
Mike was very satisfied with this.
It seemed that these guys were a group of simple-minded bandits.
In that case, it was easy.
Mike smiled and proposed a new topic.
"What I said was, if the king wants to fight us, we will fight.
"But, what if the king wants to give us money?"
After saying this, everyone quieted down.
The king... wanted to give us money?

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!

Falling
It is often unclear when a thing comes to an end, the world itself no exception. In the event of the world ending, it was both abrupt and unnoticed, something down right confusing to most involved. Due to this confusion, we will quickly cover the short window of events that led to the destruction of the generally known universe, following the primary instigators to hopefully give the whole thing a little much needed context. ... Author’s Note: I intend to release regularly, hopefully weakly, within the planned three arcs. However, it may go on hiatus between arcs, but it should be clear that an arc has ended. Regardless, I currently plan to go on hiatus after the third arc, which is intended to be a natural breaking point. This is with the hope of not dropping off in the middle of narrative, and I am mentioning it now so no one is surprised if there are planned pauses. Content Warnings: I do not plan to include anything I would see as profanity, gore or traumatizing content. However, I do expect my bar for what qualifies is both above some people’s and below others. Therefore, I am including the Content Warnings so people are not surprised when my view is different. If you find something you do not like, I wish you luck in moving on without it farther concerning you. If I was not as extreme as you were hoping, I apologize for not meeting expectations. I have not marked sexual content, since I do not intend to include explicit sexual acts. However, sex and sexuality still exists and may come up as both an offscreen event or subject. Cover Art: The art work is by me, and I will take it down immediately at request from the artist.
