I Am A Prodigy Chapter 724

"Little Friend Ye, if you want to redeem these spiritual herbs for growing, I advise you to forget about it. You won't only waste your merits; you might even kill these herbs if you try to grow them," the old man reminded him kindly.
"Senior, please exchange my points for them."
The old man said nothing much. There were 16 different spiritual herbs and he asked for five of each. The cheapest costs 10 points each, while the most expensive is the Innate Cinnabar Fruit—which was used to help reduce the difficulty of breaking through to the innate stage. It cost a sky-high price of 50 merit points.
The total numbered 1500, which was all used up at once. Only 1710 merit points remained.
Ye Lingchen continued, "Senior, I'd like to redeem another five grams of high-grade spirit stones, one hundred grams of mid grade spirit stones, and two hundred and ten grams of low-grade spirit stones."
With that, his merit points disappeared in seconds.
The five grams of high-grade spirit stones was what Ye Lingchen would use to cultivate. As for the mid-grade and low-grade spirit stones, Ye Lingchen planned to arrange a formation on Miracle Island to further enhance the aura on the island.
Ye Lingchen exchanged so many spirit stones that the old man's face winced in pain. He reluctantly took out the spirit stones, used a scale to accurately measure them, then handed them to Ye Lingchen.
Ye Lingchen felt the...poverty-stricken side of the Martial Arts Pavilion even more.
As he walked out of the merits department, Ye Lingchen ran into Chen Qi head-on.
"How;s it going, Ye Lingchen? Have you exchanged everything you want?" Chen Qi asked with a smile, but the next moment, his face turned stiff and the corners of his mouth twitched.
He saw Ye Lingchen gesturing to the items. The boy was holding so many spirit stones in his hands and they shined as though he was holding a pile of diamonds. They were glittering brightly, and the rich spiritual energy was a strain to the eyes after taking the initial first look. Along with that was a bunch of spiritual herbs packed in plastic bags...

Chen Qi's eyes turned green immediately and some crystal-clear liquid appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Ye Lingchen avoided Chen Qi's sight, then put everything away calmly before saying, "Deputy Director Chen."
After suffering a loss at the hands of Xiang Guocheng, Ye Lingchen did not dare to reveal his wealth anymore.
Chen Qi's mouth twitched. 'Damn, what did I just see?'
He was never as rich as Ye Lingchen was, even though he had entered the Martial Arts Pavilion and slowly advanced from inner strength warrior to peak level Innate Stage.
"Ahem."
Chen Qi cleared his throat. "I mentioned your idea to Director Xiang. It's difficult in terms of operability...but it's not impossible."
So, there was a possibility?
Ye Lingchen looked at Chen Qi eagerly.
His idea was to open a warrior school to do things that Warrior's Department could not do!
In addition, he was very confident that he would do well!
What did warriors rely on for cultivation? Kungfu, elixirs, weapons, and a training environment. Ye Lingchen was able to provide all that! He could also do research and create high-tech war soldiers, and as long as the military department gives him the nod, he can openly build a military school on Miracle Island and recruit students!
Once the Warrior's Department agreed, Ye Lingchen believed that he could create a sensational martial arts holy land, whereby the fight against the Void Realm would ultimately depend on him!
Moreover, Miracle Island would be his emblem in the future. Whenever Earth encountered a disaster, Miracle Island could bring people a sense of security. The warriors on Miracle Island who rid the world of evil would also represent him, and when the time comes, his popularity would come at a much quicker pace than if he were to go at it alone!
Ye Lingchen immediately spoke righteously, "Deputy Director Chen, I'll strive for it as long as there's a possibility. After all, this is for the survival of mankind, for Earth, and for the heroes who died in battle. No difficulty can stop me!"
Chen Qi felt a little awkward. He coughed and continued, "You probably felt it too. The Martial Arts Pavilion is very poor.

"Because of our limited strength, we are unable to break into the Void Realm, hence our lack of resources. Even if we manage to sneak in, the losses of our warriors are disproportionate to the gains.
"Still, the Martial Arts Pavilion has plenty of training resources. Do you know where all of it came from?"
Ye Lingchen replied curtly. "I don't."
'Nonsense, how would I know the answer to that question.'
"Do you know about Buff Island?" Chen Qi continued to ask.
"That's the place where the Void Realm was first discovered, right?" Ye Lingchen's heart thumped. He had seen it in the secret documents when he hacked Stick Nation. It appeared to be a world war at that point, but it was actually to cover the Buff Island's Void Realm.
"Yes, and no." Chen Qi shook his head, "Buff Island is certainly not the first Void Realm, but Buff Island is the first Void Realm where humans managed to have a foothold!"
These words immediately made Ye Lingchen's heart feel turbulent.
Was that an indication that humans could enter and exit the void realm at will?
It was impossible not to be shocked by that news.
Ye Lingchen however, understood everything soon enough.
Back then, people from every country went to Buff Island together and it was apparent that the excursion was planned. Their purpose was to pile all of Earth's forces together and fight against the Void Realm as a unit. It should not come as a surprise that they could have a foothold there.
"In order to achieve the goal, the number of people who died at that place was the same as that of a World War. Countless lives were lost in battle, but at the same time, many amazing talents emerged, which provided the perfect conditions for entering the Void Realm," Chen Qi explained softly. "That place was all in the past and has nothing to do with us, but it was also that battle that allowed mankind to obtain a lot of resources in the Void Realm. That battle really was a crucial one."
Ye Lingchen nodded.
Sure enough, there were always amazing people existing in any era.
The results of that war could be said to have created a foundation for mankind. The importance of their contributions could not be overstated, as they were the reason mankind was capable of supporting itself until the present.
"So that means...all the resources were provided by Buff Island?" Ye Lingchen asked.
"Correct!" Chen Qi nodded. "It's not just resources. The spiritual energy on Buff Island is much more abundant than ours, and that is why the current masters on earth all came from Buff Island. Director Xiang came from Buff Island too, and he was sent to guard this place.
Since Buff Island is jointly owned by every country, the masters that emerge from were also of different nationalities. Therefore, each country had signed a treaty and a battle would be held every year to allocate resources. The victors will naturally get a larger share. "
That was what it was, and such a system was no doubt quite fair.
"Although everyone does it to protect Earth, we also belong to different countries. There are already many Hell's Gates, and if we take the Sun Nation as an example, they wouldn't have needed to use the atomic bomb to destroy themselves if they were strong enough in the past. Therefore, in order to protect their own countries, each nation attached great importance to the convention," Chen Qi said solemnly.
"That's the difference between strong and weak. If I had to protect everyone, I'll definitely protect my relatives first," Ye Lingchen said.
"That's right. If it weren't for you this time, things would've ended up terribly for us here. That is why we must win this time! Only by getting more resources can we protect this place!"
