I Am A Prodigy Chapter 601

Two simple kicks sent the two people flying!
The audience fell into silence again.
Shocking!
They were all at a loss!
Ye Lingchen reinvigorated everyone's imaginative abilities. He was too awesome, but at the same time, he had also relieved himself of all the anger!
Ye Lingchen pointed at the security guards and cursed, "Our Chinese people have been beaten, but you ignore it! They wanted justice, but you stopped them! Now that this Stick Nation star is beaten up, you seem more anxious than his parents! Are you people f*cking sick in the head?! Are there holes in your brain? Or are you perhaps an undercover agent sent by the Stick Nation?!"
Unable to stand the sight of Hyun-Min Kim, he could choose to strike the man and turn a blind eye. However, the thought of Hyun-Min Kim's stupid diehard fans and brainless security guards elicited sadness in his heart.
Hitting was no longer effective. It was a disease of the mind, and people like that had completely lost their principles.
Were foreigners better than the Chinese? It was utterly ridiculous for the Chinese to be unprotected in their own country!
A touch of sadness rose from within him.
China was a glorious country with a culture that spanned 5000 years. How was it possible for people to be brainwashed by the Stick Nation?! China was a country to be reckoned with, yet its people did not have the nerve to face foreigners in their own country, even worshiping them and losing their dignity. How could one not feel sad over that?
As a result, Ye Lingchen was absolutely furious. He did not understand why, but he had to vent his anger!
The scene suddenly became difficult to control. The number of onlookers increased, and things got even worse. Some of the Spring Festival Gala's superstars got wind of the news and even came out to watch the commotion.
Everyone was genuinely shocked. Disaster was just around the corner. The Spring Festival Gala had yet to end and there was already a fight? Celebrities were supposed to pay attention to their words and deeds, right? They usually had to be mindful of every word they say, and the two sides certainly had some guts to cause such an unexpectedly huge ruckus.

Each person had different thoughts, but they all felt that Ye Lingchen was going overboard.
Whether Hyun-Min Kim was right or wrong was beside the point. Ye Lingchen had implicated himself in the situation after causing the mess.
However, the rest of the crowd had much simpler thought processes.
"Good kick!"
"God Ye, you're the most handsome!"
"This kick made the Chinese people grow a spine. Good job!"
"This bunch of security guards are simply scums. Serves them right!"
"Motherf*cker, these security guards are obviously biased. They didn't even let out a fart when Hyun-Min Kim pushed someone, but it's a big no-no if God Ye fought back. Where's the logic in that? I almost thought I wasn't in China anymore. Is Hyun-Min Kim your father or something?"
"Retarded dogs!"
"Even my dog knows how to help its owners. These people are worse than dogs!"
The security guards' actions were evidently more likely to arouse anger. Besides feeling ashamed, there was also a sense of betrayal. The crowd was shouting and cursing.
The security guard who was kicked away and holding his stomach attempted to get up from the ground. His face was still stained with dust and he glared at Ye Lingchen angrily. "You hit me?"
"I did. What of it?" Ye Lingchen replied coldly, then jested, "I thought you didn't have any balls? Well, turns out you only know how to bite your own people!"
When the other security guards saw their colleagues being beaten, they geared up to step forward, only to be stopped by some seniors.
"What are you going to do? The situation is already enough of a mess."
"What's wrong? If he had the guts to assault someone, why should we be afraid of him?"
"Have you forgotten who he is? He's God Ye, a ruthless man who survived the jaws of a giant python. Do you think we can fight him?"
"I understand." The security guard was very hot-headed earlier but soon shirked from stepping forward.
"This has nothing to do with us. It's not appropriate for us to intervene and stand on either side. Don't join in the fuss. Just let them stir things up by themselves."

"Mm."
The security guards discussed among themselves and did not move. They acted as if they did not know what was going on and blocked the crowd absent-mindedly.
The security guards that had been beaten cursed for a while before eventually realizing it was pointless. They kept quiet like a dog with its tail in between its legs. Frankly speaking, they were the kind who feared the strong and terrorized only the weak.
Hyun-Min Kim's physique was very poor, and at that moment, he was still holding his stomach. His face turned purplish due to the pain, and two bodyguards supported him on both sides. As for the other four bodyguards, they held black electroshock prods and appeared to be surrounding Ye Lingchen.
Kim Hyun Min, "Blablabla!"
Bodyguards, "Blablablabla!"
Their tone was foreboding and no one could understand what was being said, though it was obviously not good news.
The next moment, six bodyguards started moving forward and eyed Ye Lingchen all at once. They tightened their grip on the electroshock prods and sported unsavory looks.
The bodyguards looked sullen. They had been in China for some time already and rode roughshod over everyone by following Hyun-Min Kim all the time. A bunch of fans surrounded them constantly, all of which were little girls. They felt like emperors, and aside from the glory they had, everyone was courteous to them when they attended various activities and business performances. They took everything for granted and felt that they were above the Chinese.
Now that someone hit Hyun-Min Kim while they were not paying attention, it felt like a hot slap to their face. They were exceedingly angry and felt humiliated.
Such a scene immediately made everyone tense. The little girl had also stopped crying and looked worriedly at Ye Lingchen.
"God Ye, be careful!"
"Fuck, do these bodyguards really have the guts to hit people?"
"Hyun-Min Kim should jump off a building! Does he really think Chinese people are easily bullied?"
"F*CK OFF! How dare he cause trouble on our land?"
"Everyone, go and help God Ye!"
"Stupid security guards. Didn't they just say that hitting people isn't allowed? What are you guys doing now? Just watching?"
"F*ck! So eager to help foreigners earlier, yet you're trying to stop us now? What's the meaning of this? What stupidity is this?!"
"The shame of our nation! The traitors of our country!"
Seeing the security guards' inaction, everyone's lungs were on the brink of exploding.
What were their duties? Was it to protect foreigners and watch their people be bullied? When Ye Lingchen taught Hyun-Min Kim a lesson, they were quick to demand an explanation. When he was clearly being surrounded and facing the prospect of getting beaten up, they pretended to be blind. Was that how they served the people?
Even if they were afraid, they should at least warn or advise those bodyguards, even if it was just for show. Clearly, they had no guts or dignity!
"Blabla, blablablabla!" Hyun-Min Kim shouted angrily in a resentful tone.
"F*ck, they're rushing up!"
"God Ye, be careful!"
The six bodyguards were all extremely tall. Donning black suits and sunglasses, their faces were very stern. At first glance, they did not look like the kind of people to be messed around with, as all of them were very burly.
Besides, it was evident that they had all undergone special training and were martial artists.
The six individuals surrounded Ye Lingchen and commenced their attack, causing a dramatic change in the expressions of the surrounding people. Everyone was getting worried for Ye Lingchen.
"God Ye!"
"Be careful!"
"Run to our side! We'll fight them!"
Everyone shouted.
Some people were confident in Ye Lingchen and believed that Ye Lingchen could fight very well. After all, he was able to defeat a huge python, which could be considered a divine beast.
"Get them, God Ye!"
"Spare them no courtesy!"
"Teach them to be humans and show them that the Chinese aren't pushovers!"
Of course, there were still some cries from those diehard fans.
"Hahaha, hit him! Avenge my Hyun-Min!"
"Hyun-Min, you're the most handsome! You're so handsome even after getting beat up. I love you to death!"
"Does it hurt, Hyun-Min? It hurts my heart so much."

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
