I Am A Prodigy Chapter 597

It was obvious that these celebrities were in a good mood seeing that they were greeting their fans with a happy face.
It was a special day after all, and they had been invited to the Spring Festival Gala. Anyone would have been happy in that situation. Some of them who were in a better mood even willingly allowed the reporters to interview them and interacted with their fans.
One after another, the celebrities got into the prepared cars as their fans cheered, then slowly drove out of their line of sight.
After some time, the line finally loosened up. Ye Lingchen was just about to make a move when the number of fans suddenly increased exponentially.
Without any warning, an ear-piercing shriek cut through the air.
"Wah!"
"Ah!"
"OMG!"
The sounds were extremely loud and were mostly the distinctive high-pitched shrieks of a woman, almost to the point of piercing one's eardrums.
Many celebrities and crew members could not resist turning around to look!
Ye Lingchen frowned as he was shocked by the commotion.
He looked around thinking that he would see a shocking scene.
However, the next instant, his frown deepened as anger crept onto his face.
It was someone from the Stick Nation, Hyun-Min Kim!
'Is that necessary?'
'All that commotion for a foreigner?'
Ye Lingchen was unable to understand the mindset of those fans.
Same as when he arrived, Hyun-Min Kim was incomparably arrogant. His gaze was cold and disdainful as he held his head high and walked out of the passageway haughtily. Beside him were six bodyguards. The two at the front cleared the way as two others stayed by his sides, finally followed by two more behind him. They were all wearing sunglasses, sporting the cool guy look. At the same time, they were looking unhappily at the fans.
'OMG, they sure can put up airs.'
Just looking at them stirred a fire within Ye Lingchen. 'How dare a person from the Stick Nation act so haughtily on our home turf? Our country is the one feeding you. Moreover, if not for you, I would already be happily enjoying my family reunion.'

'Bloody h*ll, did you just forget being scared witless by a rat earlier? Now you're being unbelievably smug again?'
Hyun-Min Kim rose to fame from a talent show. At first he was a member of a dancing team. For whatever reason, the butt twerking dance went viral on the internet. Add to that his constantly emotionless expression somehow made countless young girls scream for him.
Within the Stick Nation, Hyun-Min Kim could only be considered a B-list celebrity. However, in China, he managed to transform into the trendiest new celebrity who was followed by countless fans. He was considered one of those lucky ones who went viral overnight.
If one were to analyze him objectively, his songs, dance moves, and acting skills were not the best. He was far from the capable celebrities. However, sometimes, the fan's unique tastes resulted in weird incidents and people going viral.
Hyun-Min Kim went forward at full speed. Not only was he dismissive toward the fans, he also showed the same smug look to the other celebrities within the field as well as he quickly walked past them, too lazy to even glance at them.
However, just as he passed by Ye Lingchen, he paused in his stride for a moment. Those dead fish eyes stared at Ye Lingchen for a moment.
It was obvious that his gaze was burning with rage.
Ye Lingchen ignored him, knowing full well why Hyun-Min Kim was angry. Not only did he almost die of a heart attack from the rat and was injured, but his program in the Spring Festival Gala was also canceled. Having lost such a precious chance, he was naturally pissed. That might have been the only opportunity for him, a chance that many celebrities could only dream of having!
Although he did not make it to the stage, Ye Lingchen took over his spot at the last minute and replaced him. Moreover, he had won over much praise and respect. To Hyun-Min Kim, it felt like someone stole his achievement from right under him, resulting in his deep hatred for Ye Lingchen.

To Ye Lingchen, that hatred and dissatisfaction was without a doubt, laughable. Would he even take him seriously, a clown making a fool of himself?
'I took the chance from you. Are you surprised, Stick Boy1?'
However, Hyun-Min Kim had many die-hard fans.
"Hyun-Min Kim, I want to bear your child!"
"Ahhh, so handsome. Sob sob sob, I'm crying from the handsomeness."
"Hubby, why are you so handsome? Ah!!"
"Hubby, don't cry. Even if you didn't make it on the stage, we still love you!"
"That's right hubby. It's just the Spring Festival Gala. You missing the show is their loss!"
"To me, all other celebrities are trash. You're the best!"
"Dear, I heard that you were injured. I came all the way from home just to look at you!"
"We're your eternal fan. Love you, muacks~"
Crazy!
They were like a bunch of fanatics.
It was hard to imagine what went wrong with the beauty standards of young girls nowadays. Since when did it distort to such an extent?
Ye Lingchen shook his head. 'Are you blind? The Spring Festival Gala is trash? Is a Stick Boy more important than our Spring Festival Gala? Do your parents know about your behavior?'
Although he felt frustrated, he kept his feelings to himself. After all, it was not his place to care about others chasing after celebrities. There was nothing he could do even if he did not agree with them.
However, even when facing his fanatical fans, Hyun-Min Kim's face still showed no trace of a smile. Instead, it turned even colder than before, as though looking down pitifully at a group of idiots.
Most celebrities would appear cold in order to avoid being disturbed by their fans. However, being cold did not mean one was rude, much less condescending. Hyun-Min Kim was being absolutely condescending as he sneered at his fans.
"Blablabla!" Hyun-Min Kim muttered a phrase in Sticknese1.
The fans could not understand, but it did not stop their imaginations. It immediately triggered a round of excited screams.
"Hyun-Min Kim is speaking to me!"
"Get lost, he was looking at me. That's for me!"
"Oppa, I love you! Such bliss"!
Fanatical young girls were scary. Moreover, because they were so young, the bodyguards did not dare to act too roughly. That led to someone managing to break through the protective line to throw herself at Hyun-Min Kim.
With the line breached, the others from behind rushed in as well, fighting to throw themselves at him.
Hyun-Min Kin's face was filled with disgust as he backed off, scowling deeply.
His bodyguards quickly went up to block them while constantly speaking in Sticknese in a stern tone. It was obvious they were asking for the crowd to disperse.
"Ahhh, dear, please kiss me!"
"We've waited for so long. Please give us an autograph."
"Ah, I feel so happy. I'm only half a meter away from my prince!"
Ye Lingchen stood nearby, watching the entire scene. His calm gaze took on a hint of disappointment. He understood what Hyun-Min Kim just said earlier. "Get these flies away from me!"
