I Am A Prodigy Chapter 564

At that point, Ye Lingchen shone in everyone's eyes, because what he carried was the fate of countless people—it was not only those in the present but those in the future and all around the world!
He stepped forward slowly and everyone's eyes looked at him with piety and respect.
"Miracle Doctor Y, I'm willing to pay fifty million, and I only ask that you cure my rheumatism."
"Miracle Doctor Y, I'll give one hundred million, and I only ask for you to wake my husband up again."
"Miracle Doctor Y, name your price! I won't haggle with you!"
Those wealthy people stepped forward slowly and stared at Ye Lingchen with a glowing gaze.
Ye Lingchen halted his footsteps and swept his gaze across them. Then, he said curtly, "Will you die if your disease isn't cured immediately?"
Those rich guys were taken aback for a moment before slowly shaking their heads.
"Then get out!"
At the end of his sentence, he continued walking into Metropolis Hospital.
Along the way, everyone consciously moved aside. No one said a word and were quietly guarding both sides.
Soon, a patient was arranged to enter the ward.
That patient was an old man whom everyone recognized. He has studied agriculture all his life and finally invented a kind of food that could fill the stomach of the entire country!
He had dedicated his life to the people, and his contribution to the country could not be measured. The reason why everyone could live and work in peace was because of him.
He was an old man worthy of respect—an old man worth remembering.
Therefore, like Grandmaster Qin earlier, no one had any objections that Miracle Doctor Y treated the old man first. Instead, they watched, prayed, and hoped that everything would go well.
That moment became another eye-catching one. Not only was the number of patients increasing, but the number of viewers in the live stream saw a similar increase too.

Two hours later, the door of the operating room opened, and the operation was successfully completed, just like before!
"I knew it! Is there any disease Miracle Doctor Y can't cure?"
"Awesome, he's really awesome! I've never admired anyone so much in my entire life."
"Sob, sob. I never expected our country to produce such an amazing person. I'm going to cry."
"I cried too when the old man was pushed out of the operating room. I grew up listening to his story. He's like an elder to me, like my grandfather."
"I know that one more name will be forever etched in our country's history—Miracle Doctor Y!"
...
Just as everyone was talking, Ye Lingchen walked out of the operating room under everyone's intent gaze.
Then, he beckoned to the group of reporters some distance away.
There were many reporters from all major television stations in the Capital. They came and waited there for a whole day. They were taken aback after seeing Ye Lingchen calling them and they had a look of disbelief. After that, the reporters whose minds reacted more quickly immediately had a look of delirious ecstasy and rushed madly toward him.
They wanted none other than to interview Miracle Doctor Y, but the Warrior's Department was fully prepared and the reporters did not want to act too brashly. They were even afraid of getting too close, but when they finally saw Doctor Y beckoning, the sole emotion they felt was that of excitement.
"Miracle Doctor Y, who did you learn your medical skills from?"
"Miracle Doctor Y, can you cure all the diseases in the world?"
"Miracle Doctor Y, can you take off your mask? I believe many people would like to see your face."
"Miracle Doctor Y, how long did you prepare for this treatment? How many people are you going to save?"
They had countless questions in their hearts, which they fired in quick succession. Despite that, no one asked any embarrassing questions, otherwise it would be the questioner himself that would be embarrassed.

Then, a young and beautiful female reporter asked, "Miracle Doctor Y, there are so many patients in the world and it's impossible to treat them one by one. What are you going to do about that?"
"Come on stage!"
Ye Lingchen raised his hand and pointed at the female reporter.
"Ah? I..." The female reporter was briefly stunned and she looked blankly at Ye Lingchen.
She had probably just graduated from university and was still doing her internship. It overwhelmed her a little when that happened. All the other reporters beside her looked at her with envy.
An opportunity like that was undoubtedly a great opportunity, like the lucky child that had been selected.
Tens, perhaps even hundreds of millions, of people across the country were paying attention to that matter. If she performed well onstage, she might even be crowned best reporter in addition to receiving a permanent position!
"Oh, I, I..." The girl went onstage blankly and she mumbled incoherently due to nervousness. Fortunately, she was able to adjust her mindset quickly and ask her question again.
"Miracle Doctor Y, there are plenty of patients throughout the world and it's impossible to treat them one by one. What are you going to do about that?"
"This is a very good question!"
Ye Lingchen took the microphone. "The reason I'm standing here is because of this very question! The words I'm about to say are directed to everyone out there."
His incredibly straightforward opening remark left everyone in awe. Their hearing perked up and they listened carefully, not only because of curiosity, but because they were all concerned about the issue at hand.
Those in front of the television, mainly those who were lying on the hospital bed as well as their family members, could not help but cover their mouths. Their gazes were filled with anxiety and expectation.
Ye Lingchen's next words were equivalent to announcing their fate.
"It's clear that I'm unable to save all the patients in the world by myself. However, I can produce pills. I will create pills to target specific diseases. When the time comes, all you need to do is take the pills and the illness will naturally be controlled. There would be no need for me to treat it in person!"
That sentence left everyone's head buzzing and they were stunned by the surprise.
An uproar ensued after a moment of silence.
"Wow! Are you telling the truth, Miracle Doctor Y? I, I'm…I'm going to cry!"
"There will be medicine to treat all these diseases in the future! It can save lives! It can save lives!"
"Huhuhu, my savior! He's the messiah! Long live Miracle Doctor Y!"
"Thank you so much. Thank you so, so much. I... I really don't know what to say to express my admiration for Miracle Doctor Y."
"Miracle Doctor Y, I'll kneel in front of the live stream now. I'll really kneel on my knees!"
Whether people watched it live or through the live stream, many people were stunned by the surprise and began weeping on the ground. Others knelt in thanks and prayer.
"May I ask if these pills will be made by you? Just like for Wind-Heat Syndrome Flu?" The female reporter asked just the right question and her eyes sparkled as she looked at Ye Lingchen with great admiration.
"Correct." Ye Lingchen nodded.
"Then how would you set the price? Actually... Umm, what I mean by that is, even if these life-saving pills are on the expensive side, I believe everyone can accept the pricing."

Lost In Translation
If you're one to travel the roads, you may have heard of me. You may have heard my Names in the stories, the songs, and the whispers of the road. Perhaps you've even seen me during my travels, speaking to a bird of blue light, or on a city street, performing small acts for coin and repute. Or perhaps you may know me as the Skystrider, who walked with the wind. Or the Voiceless, a man of song without speech. You may know me as the Tutor, who taught the Lion of Summer how to fight, or the Traveler, who has walked all the roads of the earth. I am all of these things. And people have branded me a myth. But people don't understand what a myth is. They haven't heard the songs lost to our tongues, nor have they seen the things I've seen. They haven't gone to the places I've gone. My feet have walked the plains, the seas, and the clouds. I have spoken languages unspoken; tongues lost to time. I have sung to the earth, held the moon in my arms, and walked the roads that your heroes hesitate to even mention. I have outwitted Demons. I have danced with the Fae. My songs have been heard by lords of wind and ash, and my steps have echoed in the bellies of gargantuan beasts the likes of which you have never seen. These are what real myths are. And me? I'm no legend. I'm just the bard stupid enough to poke the real ones with a stick. Discord link here.
