I Am A Prodigy Chapter 512

The entire process did not take long. Ye Lingchen had easily gotten rid of the five beasts in an instant. One should know that those five beasts were several times more ferocious compared to lions and tigers!
Terrifying!
Absolutely terrifying!
It was like a dream.
Ye Lingchen clapped his hand. His breathing, expression, and gaze remained the same, silently standing there and watching the remaining seven beasts coldly. The corner of his lips curled up ever so slightly, then stated slowly, "So you beasts can feel fear too…"
They could naturally feel fear. In fact, the feeling might be even stronger than the basic instinct of other beasts. However, their bloodlust was even stronger.
Ye Lingchen raised a hand and waved provokingly. "Come, continue!"
His blood was boiling with killing intent!
'How long has it been since I've felt my blood boil this way?'
His growth was too fast, leading to all the opponents that he met being incapable to even last one round. However, right then, his raging passion was being awakened. The opponents were monsters!
Being monsters, he could eliminate them without holding back! The wildness of those beasts was somehow affecting Ye Lingchen as well. Perhaps, along with the growth of his abilities, Ye Lingchen's blood had developed a wildness to it!
All in all, under such circumstances, it provided a stage for him to fully unleash his powers!
However, the group of beasts before him were too weak, making him feel as though he had nowhere to vent the power within his body.
He did not dream of having a proper opponent. All he wanted was a good fight. He hoped that these beasts would be even crazier, more suicidal, and stronger.
Faced with Ye Lingchen's provocation, the remaining seven beasts continued their low growl. None of them dared to make the first move.
Based on their bestial instinct, they needed to wait for a golden opportunity!

"It would seem that you're really terrified. You're still scared?" Ye Lingchen frowned, then turned around with a disdainful huff!
His back was open to the beasts!
Even though it was just his back, it still carried a condescending aura, causing the seven beasts to growl and back off slowly.
However, their eyes soon turned even redder!
Exposing one's back to a beast, regardless of the type, was an extremely horrible thing to do. Having an exposed back would trigger the urge of a beast to attack!
Roar!
The seven beasts roared and lunged toward Ye Lingchen at the same time!
Their speed was extremely quick, akin to a leopard pouncing on its prey. All that could be seen was a blur!
"You're finally coming!"
Ye Lingchen broke into a grin. The ferocious aura around him suddenly grew stronger as his body leaped into the air all of a sudden and swept around with a single kick!
The force behind that kick was unblockable. It drew a huge arc in the air, quickly sweeping through each of the beasts!
Bang, bang, bang!
The afterimage of his kick flickered and the wave from his kick was like a knife, cutting across the entire battlefield!
The seven beasts flew backward at an amazing speed!
However, Ye Lingchen did not stop there. He dashed forward, forming a fist and emanated a dangerous aura similar that to an Asura. The roles of predator and prey switched in an instant, causing the seven beasts to whimper in fear.
In an instant, Ye Lingchen was onto them!
He seemingly transformed into a raging storm. Silent like a bunny, but raging like a storm.
His body flashed among the seven beasts, weaving through them. Compared to his speed, the seven beasts' bodies were still floating in the air as though time had stopped as they took punch after punch from him!

His fists, which were done gathering power, smashed right into their necks, stomachs, and other regions.
After 10 seconds, Ye Lingchen stopped once more!
The area around him was empty. The beasts were all sent flying like cannonballs, crashing into the walls around him. They slumped to the ground and showed no signs of life!
The battle ended in an instant!
The seemingly ferocious beasts were no different from small fries in front of Ye Lingchen. They were not of the same level!
From the instant he acted to the moment it ended, the 12 beasts did not even manage to touch the corner of Ye Lingchen's clothes.
"Lame. I haven't even warmed up and it has ended."
Just as he finished his statement, he no longer looked at the beasts, but instead headed for the second floor.
Meanwhile, on the fifth floor…
Silence!
Deathly silence enveloped the room!
Everyone looked at the Asura-like Ye Lingchen, utterly shocked with disbelief colored all over their faces.
"I-i-is...is he still human?!" the worker running the statistics gasped deeply, feeling as though he was trapped in a dream!
"The statistics need to be reanalyzed!"
Ye Lingchen was too powerful. His strength was beyond words!
Any one of the 12 beasts would be sufficient to eat a ferocious tiger alive, yet they were pulverized by Ye Lingchen as if they were nothing!
If not for them witnessing it for themselves, they would never believe it!
One should know that the 12 beasts were their first achievement in combining the special traits of various beasts to create these killing machines. If any one were to be released, they would be sufficient to create havoc in the cities. When placed in nature, they were all the more unrivaled!
Who would have thought…
Most importantly, Ye Lingchen had only spent three minutes in the entire process!
Furthermore, he was totally unscathed. In fact, he even seemed unsatisfied.
They felt that they were the ordinary people while Ye Lingchen was the true monster!
"Elder Hiroshi…"
Young Master Takeshi could not help but look to Elder Hiroshi. He was about to continue asking in nervousness but was cut short by Elder Hiroshi. Elder Hiroshi gave him a steady look, stating calmly, "Young Master Takeshi, are you already scared with just this level of strength?"
Tsune Takeshi paused, then held back his thoughts.
"In our field, we should be least afraid of meeting with great strength."
Elder Hiroshi chuckled, then pointed at the screen. "Moreover, what can this level of strength amount to? I can only say that you know nothing about true strength!"
"Elder Hiroshi, that kid is really weird. That was 12 mutated beasts. We've done experiments to measure their strength. The sharpness and strength of their claws and fangs were almost perfect, yet he…"
Young Master Takeshi's speech hastened. Although he was trying to remain calm, the power displayed by Ye Lingchen was making him fearful.
If Ye Lingchen was just another test subject, then he would not be as shocked. However, he was just a human! How could a human muster such great strength? That was illogical!
"Hehe...no matter how strong these beasts are, they are only beasts. They merely inherited the traits of other beasts. In the end, they could only be considered slightly stronger beasts!"
Elder Hiroshi sneered, "This kid is nothing but a slightly stronger martial artist. Since he's a human, he would have his limitations, while I...am different!"
With that said, he put down his foot with a slight twist, immediately causing a deep footprint to appear on the floor!

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
