I Am A Prodigy Chapter 467

"Wait! What's that?"
"OMG, Y-God posted a Weibo status?"
"F*ck! F*ck! F*ck! That masked brother earlier was Y-God?!"
"Ahhh, no wonder I was attracted to that little masked brother with one look. This is fate!"
"F*ck! Y-God was just in front of us yet we didn't know!"
"Damn it! We let him walk away from under our eyes just like that?!"
"No wonder the five hosts were completely crushed. It can't be helped. Their opponent was Y-God. He was just too good!"
"Panda Streaming is so inhumane! How dare they not tell us that Y-God would be present. This trickery is too cunning!"
"That's right. Cunning b*stard. We should still have time to catch up to him!"
"Y-God, your live stream is down for quite some time. You're too disrespectful of your job! I've been waiting every single day!"
"My husband Y-God, wait for me…"
…
The crowd at the scene went wild. Their faces flushed red as they had heated discussions. Quite a number of them tried to give chase.
At first, it was just a simple interactive portion of the program. Instead, they were shown an exciting match and Y-God even showed himself! What a surprise. It was a giant surprise!
It was not just the crowd. Even Coold and the gang were stunned. 'That person was Y-God?'
Coold and Wu'er were especially dazed. They both stared at the empty seat across them and could not help but feel a sense of dissatisfaction. 'Since you're here, why don't you come talk to us and interact a little?'
'Terrible!'
However, they thought back of Y-God's appearance. Although he was wearing a mask, they still felt that he was quite handsome, adding to the anticipation in their hearts.
"So that's the big boss. Our loss is not in vain," Love Letter lamented.
"Damn, that gave me a good scare. I thought it was just a random person. If we really had our ass handed to us by some random person, our reputation would have gone down the drain." Little Guai was feeling the lingering fear within him.

"Hmph, this time they didn't even tell us that Brother Y-God is coming during the invitation. I didn't even get to prepare myself," Wu'er huffed unhappily.
Meanwhile, after Ye Lingchen posted on Weibo, his Weibo space exploded with activity.
[Y-God has finally shown himself. When will you start a new round of live stream? I've missed you so much.]
[F*ck! F*ck! Y-God, you went to the anime convention! Damn it! Why didn't you say it earlier?!]
[My goodness, I originally planned to go today. I've missed this chance!]
[Panda Streaming is just too evil. How could they not notify us of Y-God's appearance!]
[Although he was wearing a mask, Y-God is no doubt a handsome guy. Furthermore, his appearance and aura are both excellent. Those that claimed that Y-God is hiding his face for being ugly are now getting slapped in the face, right?]
[Most importantly, someone had even claimed that Y-God was an old grandfather. Ptooi! Which old grandfather can play a game that well? I'll eat my computer if that's the case!]
[Y-God is a handsome young man. I wonder what the other Ys look like. Waahhh, if they are all handsome guys, who should I choose? This is troubling indeed!]
[Hehe, how naive! Only little kids have to choose. I'll take 'em all!]
…
Ye Lingchen never expected that his whimsical decision would cause such a big stir, once again raising his popularity points. Panda Streaming's reputation also followed suit.
That was considered an unexpected gain.
"Ye'zi, why are you walking so fast? Didn't we win the game? Are you worried we'll be beaten up?" Potato asked as he was having difficulty catching up.
"Ye'zi, your maneuvers were just too amazing! That was the top five hosts! Did you know just what kind of feat you pulled off there?" Xiang was similarly boiling with excitement, feeling dreamy.
Just as they were lamenting, Little Gen suddenly felt his phone vibrate. He took a look, then exclaimed in surprise, "OMG, Y-God just updated his Weibo. I need to check it out."

"For reals? Let's check it out together."
Potato and the others immediately moved closer to have a look. With that, their bodies trembled greatly as their eyes narrowed.
They first looked up at the calm Ye Lingchen, then checked Weibo, then looked back at Ye Lingchen, then the Weibo post again…
"F*ck! Ye'zi! Y-y-you…" Hao Jian was jumping up and down, pointing his trembling finger at Ye Lingchen. His tongue was tied, unable to speak properly.
"Y-y-you're…" Potato looked at Ye Lingchen in disbelief, totally at a loss for words.
"F*ck, Ye'zi, this is amazing!"
Little Gen was a lot more direct, immediately cheering him loudly.
"Alright, alright. It's just an identity. Don't get all worked up about it." Ye Lingchen waved it off nonchalantly.
"F*ck me. You can stop acting cool in front of us."
"You've hidden yourself well. To think that I've been chasing after your live stream all these while."
After the momentary shock, they soon recovered from their daze and started teasing Ye Lingchen.
At that moment, Ye Lingchen was already a celebrity. The additional identity did not really bring them that much surprise. It was just some additional decor. Furthermore, they remembered Ye Lingchen telling the story about corpse herding which was similar to Candle Blowing Ghost. So it was all the same person.
"Ye'zi, you're just too talented. You're good at gaming and have vast knowledge. This is just crazy!"
"You're the son of good fortune, right? OMG, our bro is the son of good fortune. We're definitely getting rich in the future!"
"Ye'zi, I've wasted one autograph to get into the anime convention. You need to make it up to me."
They were surprised, but at the same time realized why Ye Lingchen was in such a hurry to leave. Feeling the crowd behind them that were searching up and down, the five of them pressed on even faster!
While chatting, Ye Lingchen suggested treating them to a meal which immediately obtained the agreement of the rest. With such a rich guy with them, it was a waste for them to not take full advantage of him for one meal.
The group was too lazy to walk far and picked the most expensive restaurant within the university campus.
Red Canton Mansion. Their specialty was Cantonese dishes and had a huge selection. It was a place where only the higher-ups of the university campus could enjoy themselves. Apart from the rich kids, most ordinary students would never have the chance to eat at such a high-class establishment.
However, that day, the five students finally realized what it felt like to be a true rich kid.
With a wave of his hand, Ye Lingchen ordered one of everything after removing some salads and a few of the cheapest dishes, displaying his generosity!
Even with that, one meal had only cost him a little over a hundred thousand. Ye Lingchen was a little dissatisfied. 'Sigh, the problems of a rich person!'
For a moment, the employees in Red Canton Mansion were busy discussing which rich kid was here spending money. 'Such a wastrel! His parents must be suffering!'
Although they did not know if Ye Lingchen's parents were suffering in their hearts, they were sure of their own pained heart. 'Why can such a person be born as a rich kid? How nice would it be if that was me instead. I would surely not be such a wastrel. The heavens are unfair!'
The incident in Red Canton Mansion was later spread around the university, turning into a common topic that was discussed by many. Unexpectedly, it had slowly turned into the "talk" of the university…

This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Suspecting she’s a government experiment, Alexei determines to find answers to the impossible existence of women. However, the deeper he digs into the dark, the further he realizes there’s more to the eternal war than he’s allowed to know. The Other - a (man) called Ted
A figure, large and present through time in ways most would not understand. Seemingly uncaring about all except his own principles, the one we refer to as the Other (for legitimate reasons, lest some accidentally call upon his old name), finds his way through life. Though refusing to claim the title himself, this (immortal)'s projects have begun to leave him behind, awaiting some accident to move him back into the world. - - - - - - Initially intended to be a novella, then a project to keep me sane in busy times IRL, this will be considered the roughest of drafts. Also, IRL may prevent me from regular updates after the backlog is done. Tags with a grain of salt, items may be mentioned briefly in story so far, or in chapters already written but not published. Content warnings just in case. Some perspective switching in the first several chapters. Legitimately though, in the first chapters an explanation is provided for referencing to the MC as 'the Other.'
