I Am A Prodigy Chapter 439

Ye Lingchen was making snake soup.
The giant python's meat contained medicinal properties. It was easy to lose its medicinal properties through braising or roasting. Making snake soup was the best way, and it was also easier for the human body to absorb the nutrients.
Roasting the snake meat or braising it in brown sauce can be done at night. There was another four-meter-long anaconda, which was enough for everyone to eat for two days.
Making snake soup was not complicated. The most important thing in the early stage was to cut it into pieces of uniform shape of about three centimeters. Once it was properly marinated and the seasonings were carefully added, add the right amount of water and place it in the pot to cook for an hour. After that, it was ready to be served.
Ye Lingchen's selection of ingredients was somewhat different from that of ordinary snake soup because he added some herbs that could neutralize the giant python's spiritual energy. The result would be better that way, despite there being no significant difference in the cooking steps.
As time went by, a gust of heat radiated from the pot wafted through the entire Mushroom Hut.
"Wow, it smells good! It smells too good!"
Even though they were all mentally prepared for it, everyone was immediately captivated by that fragrance.
That time around, the smell was still the aroma of delicious food, but it had some different aspects. Firstly, it smelled fresh—very fresh. Secondly, the fragrance was very unique in that it was refreshing and strong, but not at all pungent.
"Help yourself if you want to eat," Ye Lingchen smiled slightly and served a bowl.
He sipped the soup slowly and the delicious smell immediately enveloped all of his taste buds. He swished it around with the tip of his tongue—it had a gelatinous texture even though it was obviously just soup.
After swallowing, a heatwave erupted inside his stomach instantly and immediately merged into his limbs and skeletal bodies. Then, it coursed through his pores as well as the blood from his limbs and skeletal bodies, causing a flow of heat to burst out of his body.

Sure enough, it contained spiritual energy that would almost certainly nourish him.
"Give me a bowl too!"
Wei Daxun raised his leg and walked over. As soon as he picked up the bowl, he was squeezed aside by two beautiful figures.
"Lingchen, we also want to..." The two girls looked blankly at Ye Lingchen.
As they said that, they looked at the pot full of snake soup and licked their tongues involuntarily with desire in their eyes.
Women had a natural fear of snakes. They would feel terrified and disgusted at first glance, more so if they were asked to eat them. In the face of such delicious food however, their fear of snakes was overcome by the delicious food. Their foodie character emerged and they no longer thought about what the food was made of. The important thing was that they ate it.
After taking a mouthful of the snake soup, the two women's complexion instantly turned ruddy. With a shiver, they could feel the coldness being driven right out of their bodies. Their entire body became warm as though everything detrimental that was hidden in their body was eliminated, thus making them feel relaxed.
"God Ye, this snake soup is too amazing. After drinking a few sips, I feel like my entire body is filled with power," Wei Daxun could not help exclaiming. All he felt was that his energy had never been as strong as it was at that moment.
"Me too, and if you look at me, my whole body is sweating and my clothes are soaked," Huang Lei said as well. He felt a remarkable feeling that far surpassed that of so-called tonics.
"Huang Lei Sensei, you'll need it. Drink more and nourish your kidneys1." Ye Lingchen smiled.
Everyone laughed in that split second.
Huang Lei was speechless.
[Bwahahaha, Huang Sensei wants to boost his sex drive.]
[Life is unfair for middle-aged people.]
[Does this snake soup really have such a big effect? It's too powerful.]
[Upstairs, make no mistake, this giant python is an enlightened animal. If you eat a piece of its meat, you'll become immortal!]

[Motherf*cking mental retard. You think he's Tang the Monk?]
[I feel that everyone is so warm in the Mushroom Hut with all that laughter and joy.]
[Ask God Ye to give me a bowl! A BIG BOWL. Imma boost my sex drive!!!]
...
"This is good for your body, but you must also pay attention to the amount. You can't eat a lot in one go or else it'll nourish you excessively. With your physique, one and a half bowls per serving is the most you can take." Ye Lingchen opened his mouth and filled a big bowl to the brim. He then took it outside and placed it in front of Old Tortoise.
"Woooooooo..."
There was a look of desire in Old Tortoise's eyes. It advanced excitedly a couple of steps toward Ye Lingchen, seemingly unable to wait any longer.
"Open your mouth." Ye Lingchen made a gesture.
Old Tortoise immediately raised his head high and opened its mouth.
That amount of soup was considered far too much for humans, but for Old Tortoise, it was not even enough to make up one bite. Ye Lingchen casually poured a huge amount of snake soup into Old Tortoise's mouth.
Thump, thump, thump, thump!
After drinking a mouthful of snake soup, Old Tortoise immediately slapped both limbs with excitement. Its huge body swayed from left to right as if he was a happy child eating candy. It then rubbed Ye Lingchen's body with its head affectionately.
[Such a waste of resources! He actually fed that much snake soup to an old tortoise!]
[F*ck! For a moment, I felt like my life was bleak and dull. I would've had a better life as a tortoise.]
[Reasonably speaking, such a large bowl of snake soup can sell for more than RMB10,000. Who can afford to take care of this old tortoise?]
[God Ye, I hate you! How can I live when you show me such delicious food every day!]
...
After eating and drinking, everyone leaned back on their seats and rubbed their stomachs comfortably while squinting their eyes.
Once everyone had undergone that replenishment, they felt like they had been reborn and needed to digest their food slowly.
"God Ye, why are the properties of this snake meat much more powerful than ginseng? I feel as though my blood will be very warm if I slashed my wrists." He Jia smiled.
"It's amazing. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine being able to eat this kind of giant python meat in my lifetime." Wei Daxun licked his lips and enjoyed the delicious aftertaste.
"Lingchen, this giant python's meat is really amazing. No wonder you said it was very valuable," Zhao Liangying remarked.
"That's right. If I didn't lack any space to store it, I would've been more than willing to buy it at a high price and use it as my tonic." Huang Lei nodded.
While everyone was chatting, the director came over and said to Ye Lingchen, "God Ye, our program group has a request."
"What is it?" Ye Lingchen raised his brows slightly. He never expected the director to be so humble.
"Can we keep on broadcast running during the auction later?" The director looked at Ye Lingchen with piercing eyes as he had a particular feeling that the subsequent auction would be a highlight.
"No problem." Ye Lingchen agreed without a fuss. It was a trivial matter that could also increase his popularity, so there was no reason not to go along with it.
"Thank you." The director became rather excited. He immediately got up and went to get ready.
At about three o'clock in the afternoon, a black Mercedes-Benz followed by a silver-white Mercedes-Benz came to Mount Li and headed straight for Green Grass Village.
Immediately after that, teams began entering Green Grass Village one after another, adding some liveliness to the usually peaceful Green Grass Village.
Their objective for going there was the same—they were there for that extraordinary giant python…
For the uninitiated, traditional Chinese medicine says that one's sex drive can be boosted if the kidneys are nourished.

The Caring Dungeon
NOTE: I, as an 'author' am on a(n) (indefinite?) Hiatus. Without getting into too many details, the person who convinced me to write, who was my muse and my everything, is no longer in my life. I think about writing and I get physically ill and ache in ways that transcend the physical. I want to want to write, but I cannot find the energy. Life events, combined with apparently thin-skin when it comes to personal attacks on this platform, make it impossible for me. The messages, comments, and reviews I recieve(d) were so detrimental to my mental health that I've already removed one story from this website. This one remains up only because the criticisms located in this work are about my writing, and not personal attacks.I just felt like I should put something out there for anyone who is thinking about starting this story. It is not completed. I don't know that it ever will be at this point. I have lost my muse.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Not everything in this world is natural, and it's only natural to fear the unnatural. Fortunately for Manning, he was natural. Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
