I Am A Prodigy Chapter 398

The next day...
Ye Lingchen looked at Zhang Yunxi and an unspeakable feeling came to his heart. There was pride, happiness, and a sense of responsibility.
However, he saw her close her eyes tightly while her eyelashes trembled lightly. She was pretending to be asleep.
"You still dare to pretend to be asleep? I won't spare you so easily."
The two of them stirred things up for a while, then fell silent and enjoyed their bliss.
"Lingchen, I feel like the happiest woman in the world right now." Zhang Yunxi smiled sweetly.
"It's not only now. It will always be the case in the future," Ye Lingchen said.
"You're the best." Zhang Yunxi became even happier as she looked at Ye Lingchen affectionately. "When I heard that you were going to a variety show yesterday, I was suddenly so scared. I was in fear throughout the entire day."
"Afraid that I'll be snatched away?" Ye Lingchen smiled.
"Yeah." Zhang Yunxi nodded, bit her lip, then continued, "There are plenty of beautiful women in the entertainment industry. You'll definitely attract many girls because of how amazing you are. I'm afraid you'll forget me."
"Silly. I've actually started crushing on you very early on," Ye Lingchen laughed.
"Really?" Zhang Yunxi's face was surprised.
"You're the village belle and school belle. You're beautiful and you have a good personality. Many people view you as their dream lover, and I'm no exception." Ye Lingchen smiled triumphantly. "I finally made my dream come true."
"Bah, you're bad!" Zhang Yunxi chuckled softly, but the worry in her hearts disappeared.
Zhang Yunxi happily folded the sheets and put them away carefully. She then walked out of the room with Ye Lingchen.
Downstairs, Miyako looked at the two of them with a complicated expression. There was a trace of resentment in her eyes.
There was so much movement the night before that she did not sleep well at all, and she never expected there to be such a big movement in the morning too. It was impossible for Miyako not to know what happened after looking at Zhang Yunxi's reddened face.

Zhang Yunxi was about to cook breakfast, but Ye Lingchen grabbed her. He said gently, "You rest well. I'll cook."
"Mm, you're the best." Zhang Yunxi nodded happily.
On one side, Miyako's body stiffened. The blow she received was too hard for her to handle.
As Ye Lingchen cooked breakfast, Zhang Yunxi helped him tidy up his clothes while reminding, "Your pants and socks are placed in the compartment on the lid of the bag. I've packed five pairs for you. There's also a first-aid kit, which I placed on the left side of the box, and your jacket at the bottommost. The better the place is, the greater the temperature difference between day and night, so remember to wear it."
Zhang Yunxi's maternal love was overflowing, just like a mother who was reluctant to see her son travel a long distance. She explained everything one by one and looked at Ye Lingchen's with a reluctant eye.
"I'll just be participating in a program. Don't worry. I'll take care of myself." In Ye Lingchen's current physique, it might be a bit of an exaggeration to suggest that he was not afraid of the cold and heat, but normal temperature fluctuations were practicably negligible.
After eating breakfast, Zhang Yunxi kissed Ye Lingchen goodbye before he left the house. The two of them have been talking in a lovey-dovey manner since the morning, so much so that Miyako bore the brunt of that public display of affection, causing her face to turn sour.
Goosebumps appeared all over her body. Miyako felt as though she had endured the maximum amount of affectionate displays she could possibly endure in her entire life.
The car started and drove straight out of the residential area. Only then did Zhang Yunxi turn around and stop watching.
The car drove on all the way to the airport.
He checked in, boarded, and the plane took off at 9:30 am sharp.
Ye Lingchen had checked up on Mount Li's information. Mount Li was situated in Xihai Province, the inland region of China. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains, it was therefore named Mount Li1.

The area was a rare sight in modern times where the town maintained the ancient lifestyle. It had no highrises, and the houses were made of bamboo and ceramic tiles. It was a famous tourism hotspot known throughout China.
Ye Lingchen went through all the information he had on Mount Li before finally realizing a beautiful woman in shades sitting next to him. That woman raised the collar of her shirt and had a cap on, covering almost her entire face, leaving only a little bit of her fair skin exposed.
Why would he consider her a beautiful woman? That was because of her body shape and the aura she gave off. It was sufficient to stun others without even looking at her face.
'Dressed in such a mysterious fashion. Could it be a celebrity?'
Ye Lingchen unwittingly smiled as he thought of the possibility. 'What a coincidence running into someone in the same field.' After that, he lowered his body and asked the woman, "Excuse me, are you a celebrity?'
Through the shades, Ye Lingchen could feel the woman shooting a look his way, then carefully move her body away disdainfully without replying to him. It was obvious that she was ignoring him.
Ye Lingchen rubbed his nose awkwardly. Not planning to give up, he continued, "No need to worry. To be honest, I'm also a celebrity."
That woman shot another look at Ye Lingchen as though looking at an idiot and kept her silence.
'Damn!'
'I'm being looked down upon?'
Ye Lingchen felt indignant. 'I'll prove it to you that I'm a big shot celebrity!'
His competitive spirit was immediately triggered. Looking around, he kept meeting the gaze of all those around him, hoping that someone would recognize him.
He was mentally prepared. If someone were to shout "Wah, you're that basketball superstar that defeated the Stick Nation right?", he would humbly nod and give out autographs, then proudly show it to this person that seemed like a celebrity.
In reality, it was just in his imagination.
A lot of people met his gaze curiously, but they would just turn their heads away with a huff in bafflement.
Tap tap tap!
Right then, an air stewardess in her uniform strode toward Ye Lingchen with a smile on her face.
'It seems someone has finally recognized me. My fame is nothing to scoff at.' Ye Lingchen sat up alerted, ready to get in action.
The air stewardess arrived next to Ye Lingchen, then asked, "Sir, do you need anything?"
"That's right. I'm the...huh?" Ye Lingchen was baffled, then looked awkwardly at the air stewardess. "You don't recognize me?"
The air stewardess looked at him innocently, then shook her head in the confusion. She asked again, "Sir, I saw that you were looking around. Do you need any assistance?"
"Basketball. I need a basketball." Ye Lingchen asked stubbornly, hinting strongly.
"I'm sorry sir, but our airline does not provide basketballs. It's inconvenient to have that in the aircraft as it has a risk of exploding." The air stewardess' gaze started to change a little.
Ye Lingchen grew anxious. He drew a ball in the air, continued hinting. "Basketball, I'm talking about basketball…"
"Sir, I'm sorry, but if you keep this up, it would be obstructing the aircraft's operation and we'll have to take action then." The air stewardess started to look annoyed.
"Oh, it's okay then. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
