I Am A Prodigy Chapter 335

The next day, Ye Lingchen headed straight to Hengdian Studios after his morning exercise with Little Green and Little Gray.
Ever since Y Cosmetics went viral, Zhang Yunxi1 became swamped with work. She would leave with Miyako early in the morning and return late at night. However, under Ye Lingchen's insistence, they finally changed the operating hours of the cosmetic store to open from 8:30am to 7:30pm. Otherwise, Zhang Yunxi would continue to man the store early in the morning.
There was no other way. If he did not set the operating hours, Zhang Yunxi would not be able to rest, as there would still be a large number of customers coming in for makeup at night.
Hengdian Studios, on the other hand, was the place where Xiao Feifei gathered the filming crew.
iPartment's script and main casts were set. Next up was to start filming, and Ye Lingchen naturally had to be present to mobilize the crew.
Arriving at Hengdian Studios, both Xiao Feifei and Li Tai were present and were familiarizing the script with everyone. Once they saw Ye Lingchen, they immediately came forward to greet him.
"Young Master Ye, you're here," Li Tai greeted with a smile.
Ye Lingchen nodded. "Are there any issues with the script?"
"None at all! All these years as a director, this is the best script I've seen. To put it in our internet slang, if this TV series fails to become a hit, I'll livestream eating poop!" Li Tai laughed out loud and was seemingly in a good mood.
At the same time, he grew more and more respectful of Ye Lingchen. Not only was he the boss, he was also extremely talented. Each of his scripts was amazingly written. He must get on his good side.
Ye Lingchen lifted his head slightly and noticed that Hu Yifei, Lin Wanyu, and the rest were looking at him. However, they were quite restrained and waved at Ye Lingchen with an awkward smile.
On their first meeting, they made their boss treat them to a meal. Whenever they thought of that, their face would turn scarlet. They were really too brazen.
Ye Lingchen laughed. "Relax, there's no need to be tense."
Right then, Li Jing and Muhammad Ali came over at the same time and greeted him respectfully, "Master!"

Ye Lingchen checked them out, noticing that they had improved significantly and gave a slight nod.
"Master, the Kungfu you taught us is really amazing. My physique improved significantly!" Li Jing exclaimed excitedly.
"Master, my strength is also much stronger," Muhammad Ali chimed in as well and continued, "When will you let us take part in an action film? I think I can make it more impressive than before!"
Ali and Li Jing were guest stars that played some minor characters in iPartment. They were not somewhat unsatisfied.
"Relax, there'll be opportunities," Ye Lingchen assured them. He was planning to let Li Jing and Ali continue filming major action movies.
"Lingchen, this is our audition location. There are still some minor character selections pending. Have a look." Xiao Feifei passed him a stack of materials that she had arranged.
"Sister Feifei, just act as you see fit. I believe in your decision."
Xiao Feifei rolled her eyes at Ye Lingchen. "Tsk, cut that flattery. You're just too lazy to go through them."
After that, Ye Lingchen stayed on set and advised on some of the key points in filming. He then treated everyone to a luxurious lunch before heading home.
"Ahhh, Young Master Ye is so cool. He's actually letting us take the role of the main characters! Is he trying to seduce me? What should I do?" Meijia said as she stared at the back of Ye Lingchen's figure.
"Hehe, keep your sluttiness to yourself. In that brain of yours, you probably already planned what postures you would want to use when being seduced," Lu Xiaobu scoffed as he shot a disdainful look at Meijia.
"But Young Master Ye is really handsome, young, and rich, not to mention talented. He's really a real-life Prince Charming," Lin Wanyu chimed in flirtatiously as well. "Furthermore, he seems to know martial arts. Sister Yifei, I remember your criteria for a partner was to have someone that could subdue you mentally and physically. Young Master Ye seems to fit the bill."
…
The weekend passed by quickly.
Back in his class, it was as Ye Lingchen expected. The topic of discussion of the boys revolved around the match between Y-God and the Sun Nation.

Y-God saved the day by himself, expertly controlling five heroes at the same time. The scene could only be described as magnificent. Such level of play was unrivaled!
Even those professional gamers were of no match. Thanks to that match, China's DOTA was no longer being looked down on. Instead, quite a number of foreign professional gamers expressed their respect for Y-God.
That was something the Chinese gaming community was proud of. Those gamer guys' faces were flushed with excitement and the topic turned into a talking point over dinner as they continually expressed their awe.
After brewing, Ye Lingchen's popularity points once again rose explosively by almost 40,000, reaching a total of over 120,000. It was sufficient for him to upgrade his skill once more.
However, after some thought, Ye Lingchen decided to save up his popularity points as he was in no hurry. He left it aside, waiting for the next time he felt like it again.
While everyone was busy in their discussion, the professor entered the classroom and the class began.
Nonetheless, the professor did not start off the class as usual. Instead, he put on a PowerPoint presentation. Facing the students, he said in a serious tone, "Knowledge can change one's fate. At the same time, it is our country's foundation! We live in the technological era where the country's strength is decided by the level of our technology! Recently, there's a piece of trending news, although I'm not sure if you guys are following it."
All the students exchanged glances with a thoughtful look in their eyes. Right then, one of the students stood up and asked, "Sir, are you talking about the autonomous vehicle?"
The professor nodded in acknowledgment, "That's right!"
Following that, he started the presentation, showing them the latest news. "Although we're in the language department and are unrelated to technology, we should be proud when we see our country advance! Right now, only China holds the technology for autonomous vehicles! This shows that our country is really getting stronger!"
Ye Lingchen shifted his focus on the presentation. He noticed that the location in the news report was at Wanrong Automobile Group's headquarters. In the picture, he could even see Ouyang Qing's image. The content of the news was no doubt praising the technology for autonomous vehicles, claiming that this technology will soon be on display to the public, and the first autonomous vehicle would be produced within half a month!
"Wow, it's really the autonomous vehicle. That's awesome!"
"Make money. I must make a lot of money! I won't have to drive myself in the future. Oh yeah!"
"Buy an autonomous vehicle and set it to circle the city, and just enjoy being driven around every day!"
"Amazing! Wanrong Automobile Group is truly amazing! Our country is great!"
…
Very quickly, the students started their own discussions, each of them excited and filled with awe.
The professor was pleased with the students' reaction, and announced, "Knowledge is power! That is why I hope you can study well. Produce results and benefit the country and the people!"
Ye Lingchen on the other hand, frowned. He told Xu Nan to pass the note to Ouyang Qing. Logically speaking, if Ouyang Qing read it, she would have noticed the technical flaws of the autonomous vehicle and spent more time to improve it rather than organizing a press conference in a hurry.
Could it be that Ouyang Qing had not read the note he left behind?
After that, he shook his head. 'So be it. I've given her a chance. If she didn't take it, then she can't blame me for it."
The professor gave the class some motivational quotes before starting the lecture. It worked wonders and greatly improved the student's initiative in learning. The morning's classes came to an end peacefully.
The following week was also very peaceful. Classes in the morning, running some livestream, writing his novel, and occasionally going through the filming progress on iPartment. A productive and relaxed week.
—
In raw, the author named 許婉清 (Xu Wanqing) here. However, we believe it was meant to be Zhang Yunxi. Do you think this indicates the author's intention to add more love interest to Ye Lingchen's already harem-like relationship with other characters?

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
