Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 1313

Alstreim Family's Grand Library.
Davis sat up, his sapphire eyes shining with an understanding light.
"Mandate Laws..."
Two words escaped out of his mouth as his lips curved into a smile.
"To think my little sister Clara is in possession of such a law with the help of her Transcendent Truth Eyes... She can practically bend the will of numerous people, even force them to have strange feelings that are not originally present within them, similar to what I have for Tina Roxley."
It had been more than three years since he had seen her, making him feel nostalgic for her calm and poised figure.
Davis's lips curved into a forlorn yet wry smile, "It's a ruler's power, alright. I just hope that she doesn't bully me with it..."
He was a bit sad because of her powers. Since the heavens gave her this physique, has it prepared something for her to accomplish?
He didn't know, nor did he want her to face dangers as he just wanted her to live a peaceful and joyous life.
As for her powers, he learned that Mandate Laws were a part of the Greater Laws, and that meant its true prowess could not be unveiled until Clara reaches the Law Sea Stage. Nevertheless, he knew that as long as she reached the Law Seed Stage, she would be able to learn the Elementary Intent of Mandate Laws and keep comprehending until it reached its abstruse form in the Law Sea Stage, meaning that she had already comprehended and used it by now, perhaps on many people.
Davis couldn't help but imagine her using it to shut up people into submission with just her words. Perhaps, she might've already used it on Diana and Edward to make them obey her. That made him laugh but also gave him the shivers.
It was written, with just a few words uttered by a person using Mandate Laws like, "Become my slave!" the other party might inevitably become their slave if their cultivation base is lesser! It was that dominant!
Such a power was truly terrific like Karma Laws, but of course, like Karma Techniques that might fail to affect the target, the chances that Mandate Laws might also fail to affect the target remained the same or higher.
'I guess that Clara would have to figure those limitations out by herself, but what I can do as a big brother is to help her develop her Mandate Laws by getting her techniques from the Heaven Mandate Temple...'
The Heaven Mandate Temple!
It is one of the four great righteous power of the Fifty-Two Territories standing along with the Heaven Gazing Sect and two other powers, and their top experts are people who learned Mandate Laws, but he didn't know if they had the Transcendent Truth Eyes or other similar physiques that allowed them to comprehend Mandate Laws.
All he knew after reading these records was that the Heaven Mandate Temple possesses a comprehensive record, cultivation manual, and lots of techniques that concerned Mandate Laws.
Even more, they considered themselves Heaven's little substitute as they possess the power to command, the power of mandates, and apparently, they are said to rule as though they are emperors, especially the head of the Heaven Mandate Temple. It was said that no one wanted to deal with him as he was rumored to be the strongest human!
And Davis had just learned this through digesting the contents in the Alstreim Family Grand Library and also gained more general information about other powers in the Fifty-Two Territories, including magical beasts and spirits.
Nevertheless, he looked at the second level of the Grand Library as it contained more records of cultivation and professions, but he didn't access it as he was busy at the moment.
He had actually taken his foot to this place because of wanting to know more about the Fifty-Two Territories so he could plan accordingly and act in case of contingencies when the Dragon Families come knocking on the door of the Alstreim Family, but also because of meeting with Tina Roxley and ending up knowing about the Fate Discarnate Soul and Karmic Guardian Physique of Tia's, he had switched to learning about them after he learned about the Fifty-Two Territories.
And finally, he learned about the Transcendent Truth Eyes, along with other physiques such as Drake's Exquisite Nine Yang Body, Kara's Exquisite Nine Yin Body, and many more.
They were all unique in their own way, aiding the possessor in the path of cultivation.
However, Clara's was even more rare and unique.
With her Transcendent Truth Eyes, she had the power to see the ultimate truth of the events, regardless of the people's perspectives. At least, that was what was written in block letters in the records transcribing the Transcendent Truth Eyes.
He had once speculated how Clara's Transcendent Truth Eyes could see the ultimate truth of his transmigration, and it might turn out to be true from what he read.
And depending on her answer, he would know if he was a foreign entity who possessed the little Davis Loret or the previous incarnation who possessed the soulless husk of his next incarnation or, in other words, possessed his next life.
Although he was sure that he was the previous incarnation of Davis Loret with his short trip to Planet Earth, he couldn't be completely sure without having Clara confirm it for him.
'Physiques, huh...' Davis inwardly sighed.
Although he felt a bit jealous of not having a physique, the presence of a heaven-defying treasure like Fallen Heaven made him not even think about that. It was just that a physique was considered one's own strength while a treasure was not.
But still, Fallen Heaven was his wealth, and this fact alone was more than enough to make him satisfied.
Davis began walking out of the Grand Library as he felt that he had learned enough for today.
A lot of hours did pass from the time he made love with Natalya and took the innocence of Fiora, followed by the dull encounter with the retarded Raeburn Zlatan before learning that he had probably acted on his own or was put up to it by someone other than Farus Zlatan. After that, he met with Tina Roxley, ending up learning the conflicting emotions he had towards her, but the moment he left her and floated in the skies, he came to know that those conflicting feelings left him, making him entirely calm again.

It was just as he expected.
He was only influenced by those strange, unnatural emotions when he was near Tina Roxley and not when he was away from her. That gave him a bit of relief as he knew that he didn't have to be feeling strange all the time.
However...
'I won't let it become a repeat of Shirley's...'
'If I do confirm that these strange feelings are indeed mine, then I'm making her mine... I won't let her keep waiting, nor would I let her be taken away by another man...'
Davis inwardly nodded his head as he decided while he was on his way back to the Purple Guest Palace.
Before he could even reach halfway towards the Purple Guest Palace, a figure appeared in front of him.
It was none other than himself, his Solitary Soul Avatar. It had speedily returned and threw an object at him before it disappeared again.
Davis smiled as he captured the spatial ring and bound it to himself. It was none other than Aurelius's spatial ring.
However, he kept it inside his main spatial ring as there was already a matter of top priority in his mind. There was someone he should see as he felt irresponsible of leaving after doing something like that, but with all these things he had to do piled on his head, he could only keep giving excuses to himself that he would see to it soon enough.
Naturally, he was thinking about Fiora and the loving look she had on her face while looking at him.
Davis knew that this lovely woman was probably head over heels for him. He had just taken her innocence today, and yet he didn't spend more time with her. He felt that it was irresponsible of him when he compared it with what he did with Evelynn and Natalya.
'It's all because of that retarded Raeburn Zlatan...!' Davis inwardly cursed.
If it were not for him, he would still be in bed with Natalya and Fiora, perhaps, ultimately descending deep into the arts of carnal pleasure with them!
Nevertheless, because of that retard, he also got to know about the anomalous Tina Roxley. Otherwise, he doubted that he would've gone to see her of his own will with all the things he had to attend to piling up one by one.
At this moment, another figure appeared before him, causing him to stop in his tracks.
"Davis..."
Davis looked at the exquisite beauty in front of him, looking at him with mixed emotions in her golden eyes.
"Nadia, what's wrong? Did something happen while I was away?" Davis raised his brows in doubt.
Nadia pursed her lips before she avoided his gaze, "I had enough sleep..."
Davis became relaxed. However, he became amused at seeing her avoid his gaze.
'That's rare... She came to see me of her own volition, huh...'
He smiled and flew towards her as he reached out his hand to hold hers while Nadia became startled.
Davis could feel her soft palms with his own as he held her hands, "I'm glad that you had some sound sleep after protecting me for all those days in the dungeon, but I still haven't told Evelynn or others about us yet..."
"I apologize, Nadia..."
Nadia's arms lightly shook as her eyes widened, "No..."
"There's no need to apo-"
"No..." Davis remained adamant, "Although it would take them some time to accept you, it can be even now. Therefore, it was I who was not courageous enough to take that step, as I don't want to be seen by them as a sickening pervert who has that kind of relationship with a magical beast..."
"Davis..." Nadia's lips trembled, "Are we wrong...?"
"Never...!"
Davis uttered with such confidence that Nadia looked blown away, her mouth slightly agape.
Soul force sprung up like a tide before it concealed them as Davis pulled her towards him and strongly kissed as he embraced her. Soon enough, Nadia began reciprocating with passion as she relished the feeling of his lips, realizing this was a part of sharing love with each other as she felt her heart flutter in ecstasy.
After a few seconds, Davis let her rosy lips go before he looked at her moistened golden eyes.
"It's the world's perspective that is wrong, Nadia... not us."
"Mhm..." Nadia pursed her lips and nodded, "I want to become yours, Davis..."
"You are already mine, so you should say that you love me instead..." Davis resplendently smiled as he pulled on her cheeks.
"Hehe.." Nadia's lips turned wide as she giggled.
She turned around and flew towards the Purple Guest Palace, leaving him behind in an instant.
Davis smilingly shook his head as he saw Nadia's back, thinking she was becoming cuter and cuter in his eyes. She was no longer the wild Nadia he knew but an exquisitely beautiful woman who moved his heart and made it skip a beat a lot of times.
Nevertheless, a wry sigh escaped from his mouth as he began following her back.
Taking on all of his women's worries and needs is sure gonna be hard, perhaps harder than satisfying his own hardness!

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

The Ginsu Mage
Currently in queue: Episode 13 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Friday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. The Gunsu Mage is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his kitchen applicances, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.
