Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 1255

Davis continued to read and learn as much as he could from the records while comprehending them or not could only be done later after he had stepped into the King Soul Stage. For others, it would be the opposite as only after they had comprehended would they be able to step into the next stage in Soul Forging Cultivation.
From this, Davis understood that as long as an 'anchor' exists, it is possible for people to exceed their current limit set by a lack of comprehension. It didn't even have to be Fallen Heaven to anchor their cultivation base's foundation but a unique resource that allows them to bypass such a limitation. It was just musing on his part, but he thought that unique resources only allow for one or two bypasses while Fallen Heaven basically allowed him to bypass everything in Soul Forging Cultivation.
Sure, he could feel the bottleneck when breaking through but regardless of whether his comprehension has reached the required level or not, he would be able to breakthrough.
Davis understood more than he understood before after he finished reading all the records on King Soul Stage comprehension in twelve days. He took a five-minute break, chatting with Nadia before he slightly took advantage of her and kissed her soft lips again.
Obviously, he just wanted to feel alive after all that intensive reading but didn't want to feel horny, so he let her go and returned back to start the refinement process to King Soul Stage!
While Nadia satisfyingly licked her lips, feeling both passionate and bewildered of her own feelings towards Davis, he returned to sit cross-legged as he began refining the Low-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essences.
At this point, he understood that refining more soul essences at Low-Level King Soul Stage would only allow his soul prowess to increase instead of breaking through until it hit a natural point of assimilation where his soul had reached its natural limit and could increase its prowess no longer.
He knew that absorbing a Mid-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essence would allow him to step into the King Soul Stage, but if he could keep increasing his already plumped up prowess bit by bit, why wouldn't he? He just hoped that his soul's natural limit was not also supported by Fallen Heaven where it could infinitely balloon into whatever level it wants because if that happened, his soul would burst apart if he lost Fallen Heaven or decided to suddenly leave him for some reason.
He didn't want both to happen but still continued fattening up his Peak-Level Supreme Soul Stage Cultivation with Low-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essences.

One, two, three... nine Low-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essences. He gobbled up nine of them in a month and a quarter, feeling that it was enough as he experienced a bit of increase in his soul prowess before he proceeded to refine the Mid-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape Soul Essence.
As for the comprehension clouds, he did not even touch them as they faded away, but he could feel that they had more comprehension from eight of them, combined to form a bigger cloud of law comprehension.
That was another discovery he had made, making him widen his eyes, but trash was still trash, so he didn't become tempted to learn it. Instead, he felt happier as he found such a thing and even began to think if he could share these comprehension clouds with others, such as his wives.
His horizons were instantly broadened but were it possible?
To check it, he momentarily paused the refinement process before he took the comprehension clouds out of his soul sea, using his soul force in a careful manner as when he interacted with it, it arbitrarily bestowed him with law comprehension. He was careful enough not to let that happen. However, the very moment it came out of his forehead, it started fading away rapidly as if it were like something that wasn't of this world.
Davis's eyes twitched, 'It's a failure, huh...'
However, he didn't lose hope. Since it only disappeared after departing from his soul sea, it didn't mean that it could not fail to exist in another soul sea. He thought if a direct transfer where their foreheads are kept against each other can help. After all, it constituted a direct path instead of coming in contact with the other energy particles in the air.
What he thought of was just a hypothesis, and he would have yet to try, but he kept it in his mind, thinking that if it could help his wives increase their law comprehension, it was worth revealing this secret to them. He could just say that he found a secret technique that extracts comprehension and be done with the explanation. It was not like they were going to become greedy of him as they were all crazy about him one way or another anyway.
As their man, he even liked to keep them that way, eternally crazy for him.
Davis continued to refine the Mid-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essence after the short failed experiment without having a sudden thought of interruption. Time was ticking, and that's why he had decisively stopped refining the remaining Low-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essences. He had another use for it after reaching the King Soul Stage to replenish his soul force, of course.

The refining cost him a week and a half, and the moment he absorbed the last shreds of it, his soul pounded like a heart. A smile appeared on his lips as Davis knew that he was going to breakthrough as the heaven and earth energy began to revolve around him simultaneously!
The next moment, the comprehensions he read yet failed to understand now became more clearer to him, making him embrace Low-Level King Soul Stage comprehension! His soul force began to experience a qualitative change as its aura began to fluctuate while the soul essence inside him began to palpitate as it began to grow!
*Hmmm!~*
An illusionary yet muffled hum echoed out from his soul sea before his soul force began to blaze out of his body like an explosion, making Nadia, who watched him with concern had her eyes widen as her mouth became agape.
"This... This energy's prowess is at Peak-Level King Soul Stage...!?" Nadia uttered in disbelief before she shook her head, "No, it has almost reached that level..."
The gap in each level at Eighth Stage was enormous, and that was why Nadia had become dumbfounded. It was different to her as she was a magical beast, her King-Tier Bloodline allowing her to fight across two levels in a stage and one level when she was at the peak level of a stage.
She believed that allowed her to even fight with Low-Level Ninth Stage Powerhouses, and it was indeed the case when she fought with Ezekiel Alstreim.
However, the same couldn't be said about humans!
The moment they reached the next stage, their prowess would be simultaneously lowered in accordance to the gap that separated the levels in that stage, and since the Eighth Stage possessed a wide gap in between its levels, it should be common that Davis only managed to increase his prowess by half or one level at the max.
But when she sensed his soul force's prowess, it was undoubtedly comparable to a weak Peak-Level Eighth Stage prowess! It meant that he could struggle against Peak-Level King Soul Stage Experts!
Nadia felt so glad that she raised her hands and clenched her fists in the excitement that her master, no, her man, became so powerful! However, her expression faded when she looked at his strange expression.
"Davis~" She echoed in worry.
Davis squinted his eyes as his expression was ugly. He had entered the Low-Level King Soul Stage and even comprehended its mysteries and resonated with the heaven and earth energy, but strange images flashed past his eyes, sometimes vague, sometimes indiscernible, and sometimes clearer that it could be than witnessed with his own eyes.
The images of Loret Empire's Imperial Castle, the images of him looking estranged with his mother Claire as if refused to interact with her. It kept changing, and he looked like he was running away with his little sister Clara with a vague silhouette of a man. He ended up somewhere, and the next few images that flashed past his mind became indiscernible that he could no longer tell what was happening.
In those few indiscernible images, there was a vague figure of a purple-haired woman. He seemed to be having fun with her a lot, but they maintained a certain kind of awkward distance. It particularly made his heart skip a beat as it felt a bit of pain before a clear image flashed past his mind.
The image of a woman with a fair white complexion, lush black hair, amethyst eyes, a small cute nose, and cherry lips appeared in his mind. He and that woman were both on a bed. She looked remarkably appealing, charming as she was under him as if she was ready to be taken by him as his woman. It was a sight that he knew that he didn't see, but it felt completely natural that Davis didn't understand what was going on before the next few images that vaguely shot past his mind made him feel like he was given a shock!
His eyes shot wide open as he gasped as if he just came back to reality!
'What the actual fuck!? Isn't that... isn't that Tina Roxley? Why would she appear like this in my mind?'
"Davis!"
'Wait... Were those even my memories? But it felt natural as if it happened...'
Davis became completely dumbfounded by the images that flashed past his mind that he couldn't help but utter, "What is going on?"
"Master!!!"
"Mhm?" Davis raised his head as he looked at the worried face of Nadia.
He noticed that he was heavily breathing a bit, realizing that he was deep in his thoughts that he didn't even hear that Nadia was worriedly calling out to him for a few times now.
