Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 1205

"Yes, Jade..." Drake answered as he eyed Davis to talk.
Davis chuckled before he gestured, "My name is Davis. Drake, Kara, and core disciple Jade Sua, please take a seat."
Three more circular cushions appeared in front of him, creating a four-point circle. Jade Sua cast a glance at Drake, and seeing him nod his head; she blinked her beautiful virid eyes before she walked and directly sat opposite Davis as the main party of the trade that was going to begin.
Drake and Kara sat opposite each other.
They were all facing each other in a circle.
Davis summoned a table before him, and four small cups appeared. He poured pre-prepared tea for all of them before he smiled, "Well, I'm not versed at entertaining, so let's get down to business."
"It's fine..." Jade Sua spoke, her melodious voice echoing, "Drake said that you could help me break through to the Martial Sage Stage. I believe Drake, but I don't know about you... If it is possible, I would like to know your background as a start."
Davis blinked, thinking that she rather sounded courteous.
While he looked at her, he also saw that she had an hourglass figure, not at all inferior to Kara, perhaps even more attractive as her bust seemed to ninety-nine centimeters, only a few centimeters lesser than Evelynn's, whose bust was a massive hundred and six centimeters.
'No wonder Drake and many others fell for her...' He inwardly lampooned before he shook his head.
"It isn't that 'I won't', but it is 'I can't' due to some circumstances. Nevertheless, you don't need to believe me. It will do if you believe Drake because I won't betray my friends."
Davis took his cup of tea and drank a sip as it entered his body, feeling it dissolved by his soul force instead.
Jade Sua's lovely eyes narrowed before she simply nodded her head, "I heard that you need the Forsaken Yin Lotus for a reason, and it seems that Drake already informed you of my wants. What do you propose we trade in exchange?"
"Oh? Can you obtain the Forsaken Yin Lotus? Do you have two million lotus points with you?" Davis purposefully asked in a suspecting tone.
Jade Sua didn't seem to be offended at all as not even her brows squinted. Instead, she raised her hand, and a token plate with lotuses twirling around on a lily-pad cushion carved on it appeared.
A number simultaneously came up like a projection.
[1,952,890]
Davis's lips twitched. She could indeed obtain the Forsaken Yin Lotus, but it was not enough as it seemed that she lacked around fifty thousand lotus points.
Seemingly noticing his expression, Jade Sua lightly smiled, her expression hidden yet slightly noticeable under the semi-transparent veil.
"If you had contacted me through Drake earlier, I had more than three million points, but I bought a Low-Level Emperor Grade Invigorating Sage Tempering Pill, causing me to spend more than a million points. However, as you might know, my breakthrough ended up in failure."
"Nevertheless, I just have to participate in a short mission, and I can get what you require without fail."

She confidently uttered.
"Good..." Davis nodded his head as he relaxed.
He didn't know what this Invigorating Sage Tempering Pill is as his alchemy knowledge didn't reach Emperor Grade but could tell its use from its name and Jade Sua's need.
"But how much time would it take for you to complete this... 'short' mission?" He asked.
Jade Sua brows finally furrowed, "Before that, can I hear what you have to offer in order for me to have a chance at entering Martial Sage Stage?"
"Alright..." Davis nodded his head but then shook, "Have a chance? No, you are going to enter Martial Sage Stage without fail."
Jade Sua's brows deeply furrowed, "What do you mean...?"
"Do you understand that your words sound so... phony...?"
"Haha..." Davis laughed as he turned to look at Drake.
Drake smiled back as he nodded, telling him that she was certainly adorable with his eyes topaz eyes.
Indeed, the way she said it was funny than his phony words that Davis couldn't help but smile, "Then I'll let you see for yourself."
Davis waved his hand, and a common water canteen appeared on the table between them. Except for Jade Sua, Drake and Kara were already sipping the tea. When all three of them saw the canteen appear, a confused smile appeared on their faces.
"What is this...?" Jade Sua asked, her tone sounding confused.
Just now, didn't he say that he was good at entertaining? Why did he take out a canteen? She felt that it certainly couldn't be spirit water, so it could only be wine.
Davis gestured at Drake as he looked at Jade Sua with amusement, "The same thing I gave to him before..."
*Pfftt!~*
Drake spat out the tea he sipped to the side before he looked at Davis. He thought it was tea at first, but when he heard the word 'before', he couldn't believe his ears.
"Dude, 'that' works for entering Martial Sage Stage too...?"
His eyes were wide, filled with disbelief as he leaned towards the front. Kara possessed the same expression on her face as she kept the tea back on the table as if readying herself to attentively listen.
"I never said it didn't..." Davis chuckled, "Except, it wouldn't do anything in low quantities at that stage."
Drake lowered his head as he straightened his back. Just a moment before, he felt immense regret for using the nectar at low stages, but fortunately, it turned out what he used wasn't a waste. It seemed like it required plenty to enter the Martial Sage Stage.
"Drake...?"
Jade Sua echoed in hesitation. Looking at Kara and him become filled with profound emotion, she couldn't help but feel that this was odd. Why did they look like they believed Davis's words?
Drake looked at Jade Sua as his eyes blinked before he spoke, "Kara, let's show her..."
"Alright..."
Kara's voice resounded out before an icy wave of air began to descend the room. At the same time, hot air blazed around them, clashing with the icy air before they balanced each other out. Martial energy surged out like a tide from her and Drake, causing Jade Sua to widen her viridian eyes in shock.

"You... You two both broke through to Martial Ascendance Stage!?"
Drake and Kara both nodded their heads with satisfied smiles on their faces....
"But how...? Didn't you two just both breakthrough to the Peak-Level Gold Stage in the core disciple trials...?" Jade Sua still appeared shocked.
She was also there, so she knew about their cultivation progress. A long time hasn't passed, neither could it be said as short, but she knew that it certainly wasn't enough to enter the Martial Ascendance Stage, the Sixth Stage in Body Tempering Cultivation!
"Jade, believe me when I say that this breakthrough was possible because of this..." Drake pointed with his finger.
Jade Sua followed her gaze to the direction he pointed as her gaze rested on the water canteen. Her expression appeared to be dubious before she cast a look at Davis.
"Go on..." Davis raised his brows while having a teasing smile.
Jade Sua frowned but believing in Drake; she took a light breath as her bosoms heaved before reaching out her hand towards the water canteen. The lid came off, and a potent aura popped right on her face, causing her eyes to go wide.
Drake nodded his head in recognition as he commented.
"And I know this sounds phony as well, Jade, but I only consumed ten milliliters of it..."
"Me too..." Kara agreed from the side.
She had used ten milliliters of the hundred milliliters they had obtained from Davis, so she knew that this water canteen held that nectar, and feeling the energy it gave off, it was totally different from the time she held that small vial in her hand.
"This... This will help me a breakthrough in Martial Sage Stage...?" Although Jade Sua's mouth asked a question, her expression looked as if she was already starting to believe this 'suspicious' water canteen.
"Yes!" Drake affirmed once again, "Not only did it allow us to have a smooth and painless breakthrough, it didn't have any side-effects whatsoever. It's like a heavenly resource!"
He believed that Davis would not lie to him, and so didn't hesitate to vouch. Besides, the potent aura coming off from the nectar was quite obvious.
Davis flicked his finger, and the undone lid was put back on before he smiled, "Well, you've seen the item we're going to exchange, so I hope that you can get me the Forsaken Yin Lotus."
Jade Sua did not seem to react. Her eyes were still on the table, but she seemed to have descended into contemplation.
'Nectar...? Heavenly resource...? I think I've heard of this before...'
Her eyes widened as she raised her head and stared at the nectar's owner, her viridian pupils dilating.
"Wait... What did you say was your name...?"
Davis's brows furrowed. However, the next moment, his expression turned into an amused smile, "So you managed to figure out where I came from..."
Drake and Kara were stunned as they looked at Jade Sua and Davis. It seemed as if the atmosphere abruptly became intense.
"You are... the Alstreim Family Territory's... Dragon Queen's subordinate, aren't you...? Alchemist Davis..."
"Seriously, that Dragon Queen!?"
"What Dragon Queen?"
Drake and Kara uttered while the latter gave the former a wide eye.
"Miss Jade Sua," Davis's voice resounded with a solemn tone, "It seems you like poking into other people's background...?"
"I apologize! I didn't mean to..."
Jade Sua's voice became apologetic as she realized that her conduct was rude, "It's just..."
"I know..." Davis sighed, "But since you already revealed it, I see no use in concealing it anymore. But regardless, I want you all to swear that you won't tell where I came from to others other than Drake's wives."
"Sure, man. You can count on us..." Drake echoed.
Looking at Drake, Jade Sua nodded her head. They then collectively swore in front of him, causing Davis to smile again.
"I'm sure that Jade Sua will explain about me later to you two, so we'll return to our business." Davis nodded his head, bringing the conversation to his pace.
"The thing is, you can have this liter of nectar right now to break through to Martial Sage Stage..."
"What!?" Jade Sua echoed with disbelief.
"Do you understand how valuable this is!? It's the Million Emerald Vines Calamity's Nectar, and you're saying that you're giving it to me without any kind of trade or assurance!?" She went blank for a moment along with Drake and Kara before she screamed at him, her voice a bit suppressed.
"Trade?" Davis smiled, "You still have to complete a mission or two to gain that many thousand lotus points. As for assurance, isn't there a common person between us like Drake?"
"He will take responsibility if you back out of the trade after receiving the goods..."
Davis turned to look at the man whose smile had frozen, "Won't you, Drake?"
Drake inwardly cried as he wondered why Davis would use him as a sacrifice, but when he saw Davis's imperceptible wink, he instantly understood.
He patted his chest with a confident expression on his face, "I would do anything for my Jade, and more than that, I deeply believe that she would not act like a robber and not return what she promised."
Jade Sua went blank before her expression began to tremble.
"Drake..." Moisture welled up in her eyes while her voice echoed out as she silently muttered, "Thank you..."
She became greatly moved.
Vouching on behalf of her for a resource like this nectar was like weighing their heads on a concealed guillotine, unaware that a powerful entity might appear from nowhere and behead them in an instant. After all, who was the Dragon Queen?
No one knew, but it was rumored that she had a grand background, possibly powerful than any one of them can compare.
Jade Sua's body shook as she turned to look at Davis, "I don't want to put Drake's life in danger. This is a trade between us, so I'll take responsibility and swear that I won't tell this anyone. That's why, please grant me some time so I can exchange the Forsaken Yin Lotus for this nectar!"
"Oh...?"
Davis raised his brows as his voice sounded taken aback amidst Drake's dumbfounded gaze!

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
