Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 1066

Once the defenses and preparation were complete, or she felt like her preparations were enough, Evelynn started to refine the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn.
The purplish-green essence energy that swirled in her dantian became erratic before it started to target the verdant sphere.
*Sizzle!~*
The Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn trembled as it could instinctively feel that its very existence was in danger, about to be erased. It spurted out its poisonous energy as a form of retaliation. Verdant ashes and smoke spread out in lesser quantities, breaking past the essence energy that was trying to refine it.
However, it was suddenly met with a yellow layer that blocked it from moving. Still, the poison reacted and tried to dissolve the impeccable defense. However, the poison ended up disappearing from using up energy instead.
The Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn didn't know all this as it just brainlessly retaliated, constantly spurting out a bit of poison energy in a fixed interval.
Because of prior experience and not hastening the process, Evelynn found it easier to tackle the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn's poison. She felt that it was a good thing that she was a Martial Master Stage Cultivator. Otherwise, she knew that she would find it difficult to control the pace or defend against it as her energy would be used up before she could even completely refine this Low-Level King Grade Poison Essence.
Her defense was only possible because she had the strength to suppress the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn. That is why other youths couldn't replicate her absorption process but instead rely on slower yet safe methods that would take months and years to finish refining.
They would remain secluded the whole time.
She had to thank her husband for this as most of the process had been taken care of by him, like exhausting the Spirit Attribute Source and having its Will erased. Without these, she would in no way be carefree about this absorption process.

It was just like dining. Her husband had cooked food for her, and she only has to open her mouth, swallow it whole, and digest it to gain nutrition. It was an easy process that she felt if she failed; it was time to pack up and leave so that she would not continue to be a burden anymore.
She felt that it would be better if she waited for him to return to the Grand Sea Continent. It wasn't her inferiority complex acting up in a long while or even her selflessness awaking, but she simply did not want to burden him.
There was the other side to this story; that is, she wanted to be extremely selfish and attach herself to him through thick or thin until she died, and that was her underlying motivation to even cultivate to higher stages nowadays!
That feeling was intense and surprisingly made the task done as the refinement process became smoother!
Another four days passed in refinement before Evelynn finally completed refining the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn! She thoroughly began to concentrate on comprehending the extracted insights!
A comprehensive day passed, making it around a week from the time they closed themselves in seclusion.
Davis stood as he leaned over the wall. Evelynn didn't need his help anymore, and he backed out. In fact, she didn't even incur a semblance of an injury.
It was funny as he thought that she incurred damage from a Fifth Stage Poison Essence but not from a Seventh Stage Poison Essence. It made him feel that experience was indeed a significant factor that did wonders.
He looked at her frontal figure stay still without a single movement. Surrounding her was a verdant bloom of ashes that swirled around, making her seem as if she was an elemental wind fairy, but the truth was that she was a poisonous and devilish fairy.

The gap between that comparison made him smile, but his expression suddenly fell.
The heaven and earth energy around her started to tremble like they were rattled. Evelynn's green hair floated in a wavy manner once again to the chaotic changes in the atmosphere.
'This...!' Davis stopped leaning and looked at her figure with sheer dumbfoundedness.
...The fact that the heaven and earth energy responded the third time meant she was about to comprehend Level Four Intent of Poison Laws!
"!!!"
Davis couldn't believe it! How can it be!?
Just five days ago, she had digested the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison's insights and comprehended Level Two Intent of Poison Laws, and half a day ago, she digested an unknown amount of insights gained from refining the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn and comprehended Level Three Intent of Poison Laws!
And now, she is about to comprehend again! If she did, she would reach his level and have the possibility to establish a higher-grade Law Manifestation, just like him!!!
It certainly was possible, but he knew that Evelynn's comprehension ability was lesser! It would definitely not be easy for her to comprehend the Level Four Intent of Poison Laws nor establish a Superior Law Manifestation with just these two Poison Essences!
The utmost he expected was for her to comprehend the Level Three Intent of Poison Laws and re-manifest a Grand Law Manifestation!
But reality proved to him otherwise, that he had underestimated his first wife!
Now that she actively tried to comprehend Level Four Intent of Poison Laws, he couldn't help but feel that there's hope for her to re-manifest a Superior Law Manifestation.
However, that would be almost impossible considering that the more one's law comprehension surpasses the average, the more difficult it would be for them to mold the already established Law Manifestation.
Even then, Davis couldn't help but feel excited in her stead, almost shouting words of encouragement while ending up as a cheerleader himself.
'You can do it!' He inwardly cheered, knowing that any form of disturbance at this point would lead to a failure!
The atmosphere in the room became poisonous, making Davis frown. He didn't use the death-like energy, afraid that it would disturb Evelynn, so he erected a barrier of life-like energy, and when the verdant ashes reached him, it was purified into disintegration like it didn't even exist!
His lips curved into a curve, and he retracted the barrier to a range that just covered his body alone.
A few seconds passed, and in Davis's sight, Evelynn disappeared into the sea of verdant ashes that scrambled around like many live insects were flying in the circular hall, unable to get out.
A chaotic lush green light tinged with a purple hue flashed as the hall brightened before the verdant bloom of ashes abnormally slowed down, and the next moment, it all gathered into one single place, trying to form into a particular shape. It continued to grow unabated as purplish-green poisonous energy flowed from Evelynn's dantian!
'Oh, no!!!' Davis blinked.
The ceiling was only fifty meters tall, and the tall shapeless figure was advancing upwards to collide, seemingly going to crash open a massive hole in the building!
But surprisingly, the tall figure sat down but still grew unabated.
Evelynn seemed to be continuing to supply poisonous energy, and the seated tall figure reached the height of the ceiling within the blink of an eye.
However, the tall figure crouched this time.
'Eh...?' Davis reacted.
It seemed that Evelynn was aware that the tall figure energized from poisonous energy was going to collide and so, actively controlled?
