Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 1056

'For my Essence Gathering Cultivation, my main path relies on comprehending Lightning Laws. For Body Tempering Cultivation, it is Earth Laws. As for my Soul Forging Cultivation, my permanent path is that mysterious Death-like Laws.'
Davis opened his mouth and spoke to himself, "That leaves a few options for my secondary path..."
'Fire Laws are deadly and explosive, and combined with Lightning Laws; it should pack an immense destructive and explosive power that reaches an apocalyptic force...' He mused.
Honestly, he was tempted to learn Fire Laws ever since he saw Ancestor Dian Alstreim's might during the Aqua Flood Dragon's incident. It was absolutely overwhelming and overreaching! It made him stand at the edge of the seat as if he was watching an exciting scene in a movie.
However, it was the same with Ancestor Tirea Snow's Ice Laws. He was moved by the defensive and piercing prowess of the Ice Laws, but that is not something he can easily learn like Fire Laws. He mused since he possessed the Alstreim Family's genes, it was possible for him to quickly learn Fire Laws compared to Ice Laws.
Besides, he additionally considered that Fire Laws would come in handy in Alchemy.
It was just that he never tried his hands on Flame Laws and never had the need to... After all, Lightning Laws were plenty destructive, and his soul flames easily made him a genius in alchemy. However, if he additionally learned Fire Laws, it was apparent that his destructive prowess and alchemy prowess would skyrocket!
'However, if I managed to fuse Lightning Laws and Fire Laws together...' Davis's pupils trembled with intensity, but he quickly calmed down with the help of his will.
Getting ahead with daydreaming would do nothing to increase his prowess. He presumed that he understood at least that much.
"Nadia!" He called out.
A figure quickly appeared beside him, their expression calm without a ripple.
"Master..." Nadia answered his call.
"Take me out of the city, preferably to a secluded yet spacious place where there are no humans nor magical beasts."
An illuminating yet dark light flashed from her entire body as Nadia changed shape. She transformed into a Dark-Winged Twilight Wolf as her figure stretched. Her majestic dark wolf figure took shape into reality, and her golden horn stretched from her forehead, displaying her regal status as a King-Tier Magical Beast!

Looking at her grandeur and wings, Davis smiled in satisfaction as he mounted. His mount was quite intimidating, even from his perspective. Suppose she suddenly appeared behind a cultivator in the dark. In that case, even a battle-hardened expert might come themselves become stiff for a second, ultimately having their lives end at that moment.
He felt that she would make a better assassin than him if it weren't for Fallen Heaven's death-like energy shrouding him.
Nadia understood from his words that she should travel in a concealed manner. She left the Purple Guest Palace and headed south. Since the city wasn't sealed with formations all the time, she was able to exit the Grand Alstreim City without being noticed.
She headed further south and constantly scanned for many places as they traveled for hours. Nevertheless, Davis found a suitable location with his soul sense and directed her to that place.
It seemed to a deserted plain with few trees sprouting here and there, but it was not a desert, not barren. It seems to be in the middle of two of those environments.
'The vitality within the earth seemed to have been sucked dry... Is this the work of an Earth Essence or a Water Essence?' Davis mused as that would explain the absence of people, but he smiled.
This was a perfect place to try what he wanted!
He waved his sleeves, and a six-legged cauldron came flying out!
"Hehe... I read how Spirit Attribute Sources are able to devour other Spirit Attribute Sources... So, I wonder if I can make the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn reach King Grade?"
Davis wondered out loud as he unleashed the Poison Essence out!
*THUD!~*
The six-legged cauldron landed on the dirt, but at the same time, Davis simultaneously unsealed the cauldron by waving his hands. His soul force flew towards it and flung the lid that sealed came off easily.
This was not a real cauldron but a gimmick. A sealing formation that was in the shape of a cauldron. However, the lid seemed to be a solid object that seemed to be able to seal the objects inside it in conjunction with the sealing formation. The six-legged cauldron and the lid seemed to be a complete set.

...Davis had yet to see what kind of material it was made off, but he had his focus on the rotten face that came out of it in an eerie manner.
'Oh... It's not even trying to run...?'
A smile hung on his lips.
"Hehe... Hesheheshe!~"
The Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn snickered, its facial features melting and restoring. It seemed to stare at Davis with its two dark green eyes, and its lips curved with a playful glint.
"SHSHSH!!!~"
It instantly moved!
'It really is attacking me without trying to run... Is it stupid?' Davis became flabbergasted.
He didn't do anything but kept watching the Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn zoom in an instant towards him. However, a big figure appeared in front of him, still concealed. It reached out its large paws towards it.
But, Nadia's claws rushed past nothing but the air that was sliced apart by her, or so she perceived, but a breeze of poison flew from the side towards Davis! Nadia's pupils glanced at it before a curtain of darkness shot out from her golden horn and completely eroded the poison.
The Poison Essence didn't even stop but change its trajectory once it neared and flew towards the distance.
'Damn... It really is cunning as the description says...' Davis couldn't help but laugh. It didn't even know that Nadia was present but still charted a maneuver that tried to both kill him and escape.
"Nadia, keep it from escaping..."
"Yes..."
A sound of acknowledgment echoed.
Davis stood without making any movements, but his seamless soul force rushed past out like a tide, enshrouding the surrounding ten kilometers.
"Hesheshesheshe!~"
The Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn snickered as it felt that it got away. It looked at the distance. Mountains came into its view, making it feel free and energetic. It didn't know how many years it had been sealed but was not relevant to it as it didn't understand much about the concept of time.
It hid in a crevice for a long period of time and made the place its habitat, preying on whoever and whatever life source it got but was finally caught by a human. It was then locked up in that dislikeable environment, but even then, it did not know how to be depressed as it was unable to understand the ten thousand plus years it spent in imprisonment or angered as it knew that its life wasn't in danger.
But now that it was finally freed... escape from this human who seemed to have taken it out for some reason became its top priority!
"!!!"
The Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn suddenly went stiff and stopped as it saw the surroundings turn pitch black! It instantly turned back and saw the human, but the next second, even that human was engulfed in darkness!
"!!!"
How can this be!? How could the scenery of the outside world suddenly be encased in darkness!? It was unable to comprehend and ended up panicking a bit before instantly looking for a way to escape!
However, it suddenly saw a figure heading its way.
At first, it perceived the darkness slightly becoming thin before it spread out, and what appeared in its view was a ghostly green lamp that shook and trembled in the air, seeming to look back at it in a cautious manner.
"Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn... I hope that you don't disappoint me. Therefore, become a King Grade Poison Essence so that my wife can digest you and comprehend Poison Laws to a terrifying degree!!!"
A voice reverberated from the surroundings, but due to the pitch-black darkness, the Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn felt as if the deep voice sound just came from within, making it feel fear for the second time in its life!

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.
