Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 750

Davis instantly reacted to her oddity and dodged her grasp before strangely reappearing behind her, as if he ghosted from one place to another.
"Stop!"
Davis bellowed as his soul force flared, suppressing Nadia's movements almost instantly as he applied his Soul Suppression Art on her.
Nadia instantly felt a tremendous pressure oppressing her soul, and it pulled her out of her reverie! Even as a High-Level Lord Beast Stage Beast, her soul was still one of her weak points. It heavily affected her movements and even caused her pain, especially when Davis's soul force was comparable to an average Peak-Level Supreme Soul Stage Cultivator.
She revealed a painful expression as her lips moved, "M-master..."
Once he heard Nadia's plea and saw that she came out of whatever state she was, Davis removed the pressure and oddly cast a look at her. He moved his hand and wiped the remnant drop of nectar from his cheek with his sleeves before rubbing his hand that was coated in her saliva.
He could tell that this nectar was perhaps the reason for her strange state. After all, earlier, she was inadvertently bewitched by the plant lifeform.
In the distance, many Magical Beasts were looking at them. Forget Lord Beast Stage Magical Beasts... Even King Beast Stage Magical Beasts were looking at them in scrutiny from a distance, although they were far from them, thousands of kilometers away.
Davis knew that these extremely strong magical beasts were hesitating and were eying the nectar, so before things turned against him, he grasped her hand and shrouded in Dark Concealing Shroud Art before disappearing from the skies.
He reappeared on a certain location in the mountains, not privy to the eyes of any living being. Only the three slaves were left in the skies, but he already sent them a soul transmission to standby in some concealed location after some time.

All the attention was cast to them, and he didn't care if they died since they would serve as baits.
Nevertheless, in the direction of the Ethren Empire, he didn't notice that two new variables had appeared.
Two men were wearing the robes of the envoys from the Alstreim Family. They were none other than the two subordinates of the Head Envoy, Havle Alstreim.
In fact, they had stopped thousands of kilometers away from nearing the Sunset Tear Mountain region because they had heard the vague voice of the Senior's intimidating bellow. They floated stiffly in the air and did not dare to head into the region, afraid that they would be implicated and killed.
"There's no way senior would use the tone against the Alstreim Family, right?" One of the two spoke, tinged with disbelief for his own words.
"That's plausible... but doesn't it still depend on the person? We are not the Head Envoy or the Grand Elders for senior to even cast a glance at us..." The other man replied.
His face remained covered in hesitation.
The man who first spoke also hesitated a lot, wondering what to do!
The word 'Begone!' filled with boundless arrogance had managed to deliver fear in their hearts and made their hearts tremble in trepidation.
At this time, they saw the four Imperial Protectors flying in their direction, better said that they were returning in the direction of the Ethren City.
"Hmph! Here they come! Let me make them give an account of what had happened!"
"Wait! What if they silenced us!? The matter about this so-called enormous Eighth Stage existence looks likely to be concealed by... them?"
The man who first spoke became startled. He clenched his teeth in anger and hissed.
"Tch! Let's just inform the Head Envoy first... Other matters can wait!"
The four Imperial Protectors soon came near them, but they only glanced and didn't bother to entertain them. This made them realize that stopping them would've produced some terrible consequences. Hence, after the four Imperial Protectors left from their range, they instantly informed the Head Envoy, who had returned to the Alstreim Family to personal report about the progress in the Ethren Empire....

======
In a concealed cavern, two figures abruptly appeared hand in hand and materialized as if they just suddenly sprouted to existence.
It was none other than Davis and Nadia, except the latter slightly trembled in his grasp. If a clueless person saw them, they would think that they're a couple who secretly came to a secretive spot to engage in nightly affairs.
Davis withdrew his grasp from her soft wrist and looked around the cavern's structure for a while before turning to look at the guilty female wolf who stopped trembling.
"Care to explain?" Even though he was sure of his guess, Davis wanted to hear it from Nadia's own mouth.
"M-master... I swear... It wasn't on purpose..." Nadia fearfully spoke as her lips quivered.
Davis just simply nodded his head, indicating for her to continue.
"When... When I floated beside you, the aroma of that unique liquid invaded my nostrils..."
"My blood completely heated up, and my instincts were screaming at me to consume the drops of the viscous liquid I found on you..."
"I tried so hard, but I wasn't able to stop myself... I apologize, Master..." Nadia possessed an imploring expression on her face. It was as if she completely lost her wild countenance and became submissive.
Davis inwardly laughed.
He was rather glad that she wasn't in her Magical Beast form since he thought she might swallow him whole or, even worse, thoroughly lick his body with her big and long tongue.
Somehow, it gave him the chills as his hair stood on end.
In his life as Tian Long, he made it a point to not rely on the comfort of pets as he felt that it would be a bit fake, like a coping mechanism to comfort himself of the loneliness he willfully fell into, but he did indeed feed and play with stray animals from time to time, feeling pity for them because he saw himself in them.
At that time, whether if it were stray dogs or stray cats, he felt their caress to be heartwarming.
But getting licked by a big tongue from a big wolf wasn't the least bit heartwarming for him... The thought itself just gave him the shivers.
Nadia bit her lips as she knew that she had committed a grave mistake.
'Barring your fangs against your master? Nadia, you're such a fool!' She berated herself in anger as she thought that her master might've misunderstood that she was going to eat him. In her trance, even she didn't know what she was going to do as her movements were purely instinctive!
Nadia bent her waist slightly and lowered her head.
"Master, I'm willing to accept any punishment..."
Davis blinked and inwardly nodded his head, thinking that at least, she knew that what she had done wasn't appropriate.
"Just leave it..." Davis waved his hand, "This time, I'll ignore your transgression...."
Nadia became blank before she instantly revealed a smile on her face, inclining her head to look at her master. She wanted to thank her master, but her blood boiled again now that her fear had receded.
Her face then possessed ounces of hesitation as she tried to speak, but words failed to come out of her mouth as she knew that she had wronged.
Davis noticed her difficulty and prompted her like the good and forgiving master he is, "What is it?"

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
