Heaven’s Devourer Chapter 1713

There was nothing else urgent that Wu Yu needed to do.
The strange coolness of Nangong Wei had hooked Wu Yu's attention and understanding it was his primary goal now.
The Six Superior Phoenix Emperors might be keeping their mouths shut, but Wu Yu reckoned that combing some old archives might yield some clues.
Therefore, he left Mettle Sky, and prepared to head to other sky palaces to search their archives. As long as it had to do with phoenixes or black flames, he would look through it.
Ever since the Immortal Emperor Trials, Wu Yu's reputation had been sky high.
Wu Yu now not only had the Patriarch Bodhi's protection, but was himself an immortal emperor as well. His defeat of Dancing Flame Phoenix Lord in his first immortal emperor battle had also made waves in the sky palaces.
No one dared to look down on Wu Yu now.
Those like the Dhrtarastra or Primeval Mighty Miracle God now no longer dared to attack Wu Yu or cause trouble for him. After all, he was a star now, and all eyes in the sky palaces were on him.
If anything happened to him, the truth would be very quickly revealed.
Plus, they had already agreed that Wu Yu's 10,000 years in the Heavenly Devil Battlefield had been punishment enough, and that they would wipe the slate clean.
If they still harassed Wu Yu after this, would they not be laughed at?
For immortal emperors of their level, they would remain at the sky palaces forever, and so their reputation was of great importance.
In order to protect their own honor, they were willing to shelve their grudge with Wu Yu and leave him alone for the moment.
Wu Yu was now an immortal emperor as well, and there was unlimited time to deal with him. They could afford to bide their time.
Of course, the slightest slip-up from Wu Yu and they would pounce. However, no such opportunity had presented itself so far.
Wu Yu began to search records in the sky palaces for clues.
Full Moon of Nanshan and Ye Xixi both had concealment techniques, and so helped Wu Yu on this endeavor. They split up and went to search other places.
Besides, they also hoped that some new experiences would bring them a step closer to the eternal immortal emperor realm.
After Wu Yu had beat Dancing Flame Phoenix Lord, he had also Imparted the Chaos Sword Demon Emperor's knowledge to Full Moon of Nanshan, Ye Xixi, and Luo Pin, which had helped them to improve.

After receiving it, they also needed time to process it, and went their own ways to cultivate, all while looking for clues about the black flames.
Of course, Full Moon of Nanshan felt cooped up for too long. This time as well, he could continue his free and easy lifestyle in the beds of the fresh and pure beauties of the sky palaces. That was also his target!
As for Luo Pin, she remained at Mettle Sky. After receiving the Chaos Sword Demon Emperor's wisdom, she had a curious feeling and decided to work on a breakthrough in seclusion.
All three were proceeding towards eternal immortal emperor realm at pace.
Full Moon of Nanshan wanted to become an eternal demon emperor, while Ye Xixi, an eternal ghostly emperor. However, their goal was still eternal life.
As for the others such as Wu You, Princess You Xue, and Su Yanli, they were still far behind, but doing their best to catch up.
Thanks to Wu Yu, they had become immortals. Of course they were very grateful for this chance.
Especially when Wu Yu had related tales of his Jambu Realm visits back to them, of a hometown that had completely changed under the endless cycles of time. It was powerfully nostalgic, and they vowed anew not to let this boon go to waste, and reach eternal life.
In Mettle Sky, they basically spent all of their time cultivating in seclusion, occasionally going out for a breather. The disciples of the Patriarch Bodhi watched over them, and sometimes even took the time to guide them in cultivation, so that they would improve further.
1000 years passed quickly like this.
Wu Yu had gone to many sky palaces, but was unable to find any clues regarding a black-flamed phoenix. His problem was that each sky palace was huge - many times the size of the Jambu Realm.
Many of the ancient texts were well hidden by immortals, and Wu Yu always had to talk them into it from scratch.
Of course, Wu Yu being as popular as he was, most immortals would not trouble him over some old texts, but they would instead chat him up and exchange pleasantries.
Sometimes, they would even introduce their children to Wu Yu, bidding them get along well. Some even matchmade him, which gave Wu Yu a fright.
Had his performance in the Immortal Emperor Trials really been that outstanding? The name of Wu Yu was well-received in the sky palaces now, and was often followed with an approving smile and a firm thumbs-up.

In the Heavenly Domain, about 90 percent or more of the immortals were mortals who cultivated up based on their own strength.
Wu Yu was one of them, and yet had spanked all the elite immortal emperor descendants packing. That felt very good indeed.
As a result, Wu Yu's book hunt went fairly smoothly. Some immortals even kept million-year-old scrolls, but Wu Yu still found nothing related to Nangong Wei.
He did find a few close entries on black phoenixes or devil-ish flames, but on further perusal, realized that they were not at all like Nangong Wei's situation. He dismissed them.
Wu Yu spent 3000 years searching the 8,000 sky palaces. He had met many interesting and low-positioned immortals, who were all respectful towards him and hoped for future exchanges.
Wu Yu naturally answered all of them. He had just reached the immortal emperor realm, and if he wanted to go higher, he would have to speak to the other immortal emperors as well. However, being as focused as he was on Nangong Wei's issue, he left his cultivation aside for the moment.
One day, Wu Yu had just finished the tomes of one entire sky palace, and was about to take a break, when an immortal message talisman came from Full Moon of Nanshan.
Full Moon of Nanshan had been wandering about, trying to look for clues.
One day he finally found some useful information. It was nothing to do with Nangong Wei, but important information nonetheless!
Full Moon of Nanshan had heard an immortal mention the Cave of Golden Light at Reality Origin Sky. An esteemed immortal lived there, one on par with the Patriarch Bodhi. He was called Taiyi Zhenren!
Full Moon of Nanshan had paid attention because this Taiyi Zhenren was the teacher of Lotus Prince Nezha. The legend went that Nezha had once died terribly, only a sliver of his soul left behind.
Taiyi Zhenren had used a special lotus root to build him a Red Lotus Divine Body that had brought him back to life. It was as close to revival from the dead as there was.
"Even among immortal emperors, it's very difficult to bring someone back from the dead. Only a handful of people in the sky palaces can do it. This Taiyi Zhenren is one of them!"
Full Moon of Nanshan said.
This was definitely a great chance for Wu Yu. He had one more loose end to tie up - Ming Long.
Back when he had started on his journey of cultivation in the Dong Sheng Divine Continent at the Jambu Realm, it had been Ming Long who had accompanied him, reassured him, guided him. He could not have come this far without her help.
In Wu Yu's heart, Ming Long's position was just as esteemed as Feng Xueya or Sun Wudao. He had once sworn that as long as he became an immortal, he would definitely find a way to give her life again. A new body, and a new life!
A pity that after actually rising to immortalhood, they had realized that bringing someone back from the dead was not such an easy task.
Even after he had become immortal emperor, Wu Yu still found his own abilities lacking in helping Ming Long. But thanks to Full Moon of Nanshan's information, this Taiyi Zhenren might well be Ming Long's chance at life again.
"Ming Long has been in slumber for a long time recently. I wonder if everything's alright."
Wu Yu felt a little worried. Ming Long had already been a little sliver of soul remaining within the Ruyi Jingu Bang. She occasionally fell into slumber, but this one had been rather protracted.
The last time he saw Ming Long had been tens of thousands of years ago. Ever since the Eternal Emperor Tomb, she had been asleep.
"To avoid any unwanted circumstances, I better go and look for Taiyi Zhenren as quickly as possible, and beg his aid."
Wu Yu knew that time was of the essence.
Ming Long had been sleeping for too long, and her presence was growing fainter. One day, she might fade away entirely. The sliver of soul had been barely holding on. No one could guarantee that she would endure!
Wu Yu had to go to Taiyi Zhenren. The matter of Nangong Wei would have to wait.

Magriculture (Rewrite)
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is a rewrite of the original "Magriculture", which some of you may have read. (To those who did, you have my deepest gratitude, it is absolutely because of your patronage and comments that this rewrite happened, and I feel the story is better for it.) That said, this story is not a complete and polished work, there will be mistakes and errors, an occasionally these errors may mean I need to rewrite portions of the story (as of this posting the story has gone through two major rewrites already, and I'm seriously hoping there won't be need of a third.) Because of this, there may at times be changes. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will. Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If you're looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.
