The Rose Demon Queen had the Gateway to the Stellar Realm.

The Immortal Jiuying had the Gateway to the Divine Battle Realm.

And finally, during his last encounter, he had racked all his brains and squeezed all his strength to get the Gateway to the Jambu Realm.

"This is bullshit! What kind of luck is this!?"

Wu Yu was quite glum.

He was all too familiar with this world. This was the Gateway to the Jambu Realm, no question about it.

Ming Long was doubling over with laughter.

Wu Yu had been happy for nothing. To return to the Jambu Realm, all he needed was to use the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm. The Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm was the key to the Jambu Realm already, and so his gain was exactly zero.

"The only thing I can conclude is that the eight demon immortals have different Ancient Demon Stones. After all, I've seen three, and they're all different." Wu Yu nodded. This might be the only piece of good news. Wu Yu definitely wanted to see how many worlds there were, which were as big as the Jambu Realm.

"You're wrong. There's one more thing you can conclude," Ming Long said smugly.

"Which is?" Seeing her so puffed up, she must have made a big breakthrough.

Ming Long grinned and said cockily, "Well, think carefully. Could you have misunderstood the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm? The Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm might not be the way between the Ancient Demon Realm and the Jambu Realm."

Wu Yu was confused. "What are you talking about? Aren't I using it exactly to pass between the two worlds?"

Ming Long shook her head. "No, you dumbo. Listen to me, the clever one. Let me tell you honestly. I think the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm's function is this: no matter where you are, it can return to the Ancient Demon Realm. It is centered on the Ancient Demon Realm, and not a simple portal between the Ancient Demon Realm and the Jambu Realm."

"I don't get it." Wu Yu was still a little confused.

Ming Long became even more arrogant. With an air of superiority, she smirked. "If you use the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm from anywhere, you can reach the Ancient Demon Realm. But if you open this door from the Ancient Demon Realm, you might not return to the Jambu Realm, but instead the place you were in before you came to the Ancient Demon Realm. Which is the place you came to the Ancient Demon Realm from. Let me give an example. You think it is a gateway between the Ancient Demon Realm and the Jambu Realm because you have always been coming from the Jambu Realm. If you used the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm from the Stellar Realm and then used it again from here, you would not reach the Jambu Realm, but the Stellar Realm. This means that if you did not have the Gateway to the Jambu Realm, you would never be able to return to the Jambu Realm."

This last sentence made Wu Yu sit up with fear.

Forever separated from the Jambu Realm. Completely divested from it. That was a scary thought. After all, Wu Yu had grown up there. And the person most important to him was there at the Dragon Palace of the Four Seas.

However, he understood what Ming Long was saying.

"That sounds about right."

"With Ancient Demon Realm as the nucleus, the Jambu Realm might be one of eight worlds surrounding it. If I use the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm as the key, I can activate the Ancient Demon Stones and reach other worlds. And then, from the other worlds, I can only return by the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm. If I use the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm again in the Ancient Demon Realm, I will return back to the previous world, and not the Jambu Realm."

He could use the Gateway to the Jambu Realm to do an experiment.

His Heaven Devouring Avatar would remain here and control the Floating Dreams Pagoda. Wu Yu would be in the Floating Dreams Pagoda. Holding the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm, he moved near the Gateway to the Jambu Realm. He could feel the golden eye trembling. As Wu Yu's golden eye neared the Ancient Demon Stone, a powerful sucking force came from within the Jambu Realm, sucking him in. And then, with a whirl, his body relaxed.

He realized that he was standing in midair. Below him was a huge land - the Yan Huang Ancient Country. He was standing outside the kingdom border spirit design.

Wu Yu used the Yan Huang Dragon Insignia to open the kingdom border spirit design and entered. The Gateway to the Jambu Realm was still in the Ancient Demon Realm, while the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm had followed him to the Ancient Demon Realm.

"Previously, I was in 10,000 Immortals Palace when I entered the Ancient Demon Realm. This time, I used the Gateway to the Jambu Realm but did not return to 10,000 Immortals Palace, but rather the center of this world."

Since the kingdom border spirit design could be opened, this was indeed the Jambu Realm.

Wu Yu again used the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm and passed through back into the Floating Dreams Pagoda, beside the Gateway to the Jambu Realm.

And then this time he activated the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm. He did not pass through the Gateway to the Jambu Realm. As expected, he appeared above the Immortal's Capital, and not in 10,000 Immortals Palace.

This meant that the Ancient Demon Realm had recorded the last location before entering the Ancient Demon Realm.

This meant that the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm was a treasure that allowed one to return to the Ancient Demon Realm from any world. It served as a memory point, regardless of what world it was. And not just a specialized gateway between Ancient Demon Realm and the Jambu Realm.

If Wu Yu went to Stellar Realm, and did not use the Gateway to the Stellar Realm, he could use the Gateway to the Ancient Demon Realm and then return to the last saved point at the Stellar Realm, and not the Jambu Realm.

Thinking of this, Wu Yu went cold with fright.

"If I had obtained the Gateway to the Stellar Realm, or some other door, but had no way to return to the Jambu Realm, then I might’ve been cut off from the Jambu Realm forever."

By this logic, he should be celebrating that the first door he had obtained was the Gateway to the Jambu Realm.

"What other secrets does the Ancient Demon Realm hold, I wonder. Why does it have so many doors and keys to other worlds?"

Looking out, the world did not seem that different, besides being a little more primal, and having denser spiritual qi.

Perhaps the season of massacre was one such mystery, like a curse.

"Of course, these are all guesses. But if I found another Ancient Demon Stone, I could prove my theory."

Wu Yu thought.

"Over at the land side, I've seen three of four demon immortals. The Immortal Jiuying and the Rose Demon Queen are on their guard, and difficult to snatch from. As for the Immortal Locust, he's a tough one as well. His detection abilities are greatly enhanced, and he has no clear weakness either. Seems like it's time for me to turn to the four demon immortals of the sea region!"

The land and sea were in conflict, and seldom communicated. The chances of succeeding might be slightly higher there. Wu Yu immediately followed through, changing his plan and heading for the sea.

He remembered that the four demon immortals of the sea were the Azure Dragon, the Green Emperor, the Red Devil, and the Quintessential Tree Demon.

In the sea region, they were probably harder to deal with, so he would need to be extra careful.

Wu Yu's real body was stealthy. He held a tremendous advantage when he was an unknown factor.

He quickly flew to the sea region. This was his first time reaching the boundary between land and sea in the Ancient Demon Realm. Before him was the vast sea, stretching beyond the horizon. It was endless, and many demons resided within its depths. Perhaps because the season of massacre was over, many demons were out and about, and the sea region was lively.

Wu Yu entered the sea, unaffected as he sank into its depths. As he headed for deeper waters, he used the Assimilation Technique of Dao and Soul to listen for news of the four sea region demon immortals. As expected, they all had Ancient Demon Stones, which they treasured greatly and kept by their side. Wu Yu obtained much information on all four, and finally made his choice.

"The Green Emperor has two huge eyes, and is a master of illusion techniques. It is simply impossible to try and obtain his Ancient Demon Stone.

"The Red Devil is a wily one. No one knows where his real body is, and he's a vicious one that's hard to deal with.

"The Quintessential Tree Demon is even more mysterious. No one has ever met him before, and they don't even know if he actually exists."

To think that out of the four demon immortals, only the Azure Dragon was a little more normal. He had staked his territory over a large area and lived the life of a grand emperor.

Wu Yu heard that his sea region territory was known as the Big Dragon Sea. It was all his land, and he himself was usually at the most central Fishing Dragon Region. One would be able to find him there.

The Azure Dragon did not have any children or hobbies. Perhaps his greatest passion was sleeping. He spent long years in slumber, or waking up to gorge himself. This had been going on for a long time, and someone like him with no clear weaknesses was a tough nut to crack. Wu Yu could only go see for himself and plan as it went.

He traversed the deep seas. When he reached the Big Dragon Sea, it was already the Azure Dragon's territory. The demons that lived here were basically all the Azure Dragon's subordinates. Many of them were fish-related, and the number of demons was considered high. There were all sorts and shapes, even some that Wu Yu had no name for. Some were even demons with fish heads on both sides, or fish-like demons with huge claws. Some had sharp spikes on their head, or blazed with cold fire.

More than one could count.

Many of the demons in the Big Dragon Sea were celebrating the arrival of the season of tranquility. A festive cheer hung in the air, and there was not the slightest sense of danger.

Wu Yu quickly went to the core Fishing Dragon Region. The spiritual qi in the sea was surprisingly dense, and the spiritual qi fused with the seawater, creating a jade-colored slush. If any Dong Yue Wu person drank of it, they would be able to start cultivating immediately.
