Bored Gamer In Other Worlds Chapter 562

This bored god could of course know everything with just a single scan of his divine sense but that would make the game pretty dull indeed for him and for everybody else's.
"Well... Hello there, Agents Conrad and Lexus. Please take care of me from now on. I seem to forget many things as of late."
Lucas said and there was awkward and almost shy smile on his face right now. This Supreme Being could really know how to act if he wanted to.
"We will. We just need you to trust us, Mr. Osbert." Agent Conrad tried to give a reassuring smile but it appeared very ugly on his face instead.
He was like someone who was not used to expressing this positive emotion but Lucas was also kind enough to not laugh in the agent's face.
"I do. I do trust all of you, Agent Conrad." Lucas nodded and the innocence of his person was highlighted in this moment.
Everyone around him felt suddenly guilty about what they had to do but no one broke their silence in the end.
They were just cogs in the machine and to disobey what was expected of them was tantamount to suicide. Not only for themselves but also for the entirety of their families.
"That's good, Mr. Osbert. Now i need to give you something that would make you relax. Just stay calm, okay?" Agent Conrad instructed.
"Don't worry, Agent Conrad. I will be calm and steady through it all." Lucas offered a very trustworthy face once again and just stood there like a good boy.
'So he really doesn't know anything.' Agent Conrad mused inside. He took a cute looking gun from behind his waist and said towards Lucas...
"Give me your hand."

"Okay." Lucas raised his left hand as needed and it did not take long for the muzzle of the gun to touch his skin.
"Pfft!" A mufflled sound echoed gently then within breaths, Lucas could see nothing but darkness.
"THUD!"
"What is your name?" A gentle voice asked in the boundary between dreams and consciousness.
"Lucas Osbert." a young man's voice answered.
"Where do you live?"
"Faria Town."
"Have you ever heard of of Spectral Abilities before?"
"Yes."
"How about the Imperial Alliance?"
"Yes."
"Have you ever come in contact with other species aside from Humans?"
"No."
.
..
...
This line of questioning continued for 1 straight year and though there were myriad of scientific tests done, everyone who toiled in the research and countless experiments all had the same conclusion.
Lucas Osbert was indeed a natural Specter of this world. Through it all, the bored god was content in limiting his abilities to nothing.
One year of wait was inconsequential for someone like this Ancient Soul who could stay for eras, epochs and eons in closed door cultivation.
Some spare days later.
"Welcome back, Mr. Osbert. It seems that we will have that chat after all."
"Long time no see, Agent Conrad! How long have i been asleep?" Lucas asked because he felt the numbness over the entirety of his body.
It did not take for one to be a bored god like him in order to notice the possibility of his prolonged slumber.
He was currently lying on the bed and there were a set of high tech screens that monitored his condition in real time and an able team that tallied the readouts from the devices.
Far different from a year prior, these men and women were not anymore wearing any protective gears but only the distinctive white uniforms of their profession.

Their numbers also dwindled to a mere 3 personnel of doctors.
"Not long." Agent Conrad lied with a straight face. It was not like whatever he would say mattered to him but still, he was kind enough to spare Lucas any unnecessary worries.
"Do you remember who you are now? And how your life was before the accident?" Agent Conrad decided to make this talk short and so he went directly to the point of the discussion.
"I do, Agent Conrad. I was so stupid to save that girl. I died, didn't i?" Lucas asked with a self deprecating smile on his face.
"You were not stupid, Mr. Osbert. I think you more as a hero. You have rescued one life after all. In the world that we are in today, at least that much should be considered a rarity.
Don't you think so, Mr. Osbert?" Agent Conrad asked but was honestly not expecting any answer for his question at all.
In which case, Lucas also obliged only with a short nod and face filled with contemplation.
Silence reigned for some precious breaths until Agent Conrad decided to break it for the both of them.
"So what are you going to do now?" The agent asked.
"I don't know, Agent Conrad. Perhaps i could go back to Faria Town. I can restart my life again." Lucas answered softly.
'And what? Go beg in the streets once again?' Agent Conrad left these words unspoken as he witnessed how unfortunate this young man was.
It would have been good if Lucas had awaken a useful Spectral Ability but no, it appeared that it was a one time thing after all.
He could still remember what the list of conclusions the specialist had told him over and over again in the past one year.
'The subject appears normal.'
'No gene evolution detected.'
'Amputated an arm but showed no signs of regeneration.'
'Subject recommendation: Civilian Life.' This result was both a blessing and a curse towards Lucas.
If he was found out to be gifted with a Spectral Ability then he would be sent to train in the Imperial Military Force but since he had none, Lucas could only go back to the life that he once led.
Agent Conrad pitied the boy and stood there frozen in thought. Not a minute passed by and a good idea came about from nowhere.
"Tell me, Mr. Osbert. Are you willing to become my son?"

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.

World Labyrinth
Meet our hero: an average young man with an average life, who ended up dying while working an average job. However, he's a given a chance to see another world at the final crossroads of his old life. The catch... well... he knows there's one. There always is. But, hey, when you're about to die, you take whatever opportunity's provided to you. This is the young man's story in the new world as he learns he can't afford to be average anymore. AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've decided to put this note up due to some comments and ratings left for this ORIGINAL FICTION complaining its boring. This story starts slow and it takes time for things to pick up. Also the MC doesn't start off as superman or become superman magically in two chapters. He also is AVERAGE... so it takes time to build up his character. Starting chapter 14 or so things pick up, but this isn't a pure hack and slash and skills level up story like most of the FF on this site. Just giving you a warning, so you don't end up disappointed and end up having to post large paragraphs complaining about the story... I also post on average every TWO OR THREE DAYS, so you'll get more to read.
