Bored Gamer In Other Worlds Chapter 5

"BOINK!"
"Congratulations, host. You have now acquired the Necromancer Class. Please visit the system menu for further details."
the sweet melodic voice of the woman in the system rang after a minute and a half of loading.
"Thank you."
"You're most welcome, host. It is the system's pleasure to be of service!"
"What's your name?" Clark queried while looking at his surroundings for the first time. He did not want to call the lady a system if they were to be partners from now on.
"The system has no name, host. You can just refer to me as the system and would suit me just fine." But how could Clark dare to do that to the sole origin of whatever power he may have from now on.
"Is it okay for me to call you, Nancy, instead of a mere system?" so he improvised instead. This was the name of his favorite singer and dancer. Nancy is truly a league of her own in comparison to her peers.
Clark dreamed for an instant or two before the system's reply woke him up from his revelry.
"Affirmative, host. From tonight on, I am your humble servant Nancy."
"Thank you for being here, Nancy. I'm happy to not be..." alone.
the young man wasn't able to finish his sentence because it had once more let him remembered of what he had lost.
"I'm going to see you someday! Wait for me." Clark made an oath right then and there that would stay with him for the lonely eras, epochs, and eons in this world.
"Now let me see how this works." Clark was now sitting on the bed. There was a dim source of light overhead and it was perfect to cast only shadows in the midst.

The atmosphere it gave was indeed very conducive for love making and such affairs. It did not use the normal source of power like electricity of course but was rendered from a much mysterious origin.
It was magic at its purest sense yet the notion of having this kind of fresh invention hasn't at all moved the boy who was right now in deep thought.
Since he had assimilated the soul of Lu Chen who had recently passed away, it was as if he had also experienced that old man's life in its entirety.
Perhaps it was because of this fact that Clark had also been courageous enough to see what was out there, ahead and in the morrow, and not fully succumb to an endless lament and blame.
"Hmmm... A pretty good skill indeed. I have not really chosen a wrong starting class." the boy muttered while totally oblivious to the wonders of his surroundings.
Blood Twin - summons a special body that mirrors the quality and power of the host. (if the Blood Twin dies, class skill cannot be used again for another 24 hours)
This was the first Class Skill given to the Necromancer. Of course some jobs were given passive class skills like the mage who gains 50% mana boost just after inheriting the said class.
Clark knew that there were no replays and rewinds in life, much less this cultivation world that was filled with uncertainties no matter where he went.
He could be an innocent bystander and be pulverized to dust in an instant if two crazy cultivators were to fight above the city.
The sword has no eyes and it is indeed a pretty good excuse for them mighty cultivators. Not that their victims could rise from the grave and complain about it.

"Being a Necromancer could afford me some easy time to level but most of all, it could also assure my safety." Clark looked at the three columns of the Necromancer's skill tress.
Summoning Talent Tree.
Death Magic Talent Tree.
Cursed Words Talent Tree.
He scanned the relevant initial skills but he knew that he would have to rely on summoning creatures to fight in his stead. This was the surest and safest way to level up after all.
After determining the most practical path for him, Clark awaited no further and took that first step towards his goal.
"Blood Twin, come!"

Cheep!?
Charles Monroe survived the disappearance of his parents, did his best to hold things together for himself and his sister. He survived when she, too, vanished, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic note. He was devastated, but he kept moving forward as best he could. Cancer didn’t put him down, and after suffering through several rounds of chemotherapy, Charles Monroe thought that things might finally be looking up. That is, until a virulent strain of ebola swept through the city. With his immune system strained as it is, the odds don’t look good for Charles. Now, on the bridge between life and death, he hears a voice claiming to know where his family went. It claims that it needs his help and that it can give him a second life, one far away from all the pain he’s ever known. So, Charles answers as any reasonable person would. He says no. Charles isn't ready or willing to die yet. But, as with everything else to this point, even his choice to keep fighting is taken from him all too soon. With no other option but the dark oblivion of death, Charles chooses to make a deal with the spirit of a distant world that's seeking a wild card in its battle against the gods, monsters, and mortals that threaten its existence. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
