Yunxiao Inn.

"Cheng Sheng! Shu Mu! Xiao Le!" Qie Shi called when he heard footsteps and he turned to see them. Although they wore a disguise, but he already received a message from Cheng Sheng that there will be four of them travelling, with Shu Mu and Xiao Le with him and his disciple. "And Er Zi!" he added as he looked at the shortest of them four.

In fact, Fei Yinzi isn't short. He is actually taller than the kids around his age. He is still growing, and is expected to be tall. But, currently, he is with three adult men, so he definitely will look shorter than them.

"Mister Sun. Mister Qie." Fei Yinzi greeted and bowed.

Qie Shi's smile brightened. "How polite!" he exclaimed. "Cheng Sheng, you really raised him well!" he told Cheng Sheng.

"Of course!" Cheng Sheng proudly smiled.

Shu Mu, Xiao Le and Sun Rong who is listening to them from the counter. "…" no way in hell that Cheng Sheng can teach someone of politeness. He can't teach what he doesn't know, and what he doesn't have! They thought. That's just Fei Yinzi's innate character!

Qie Shi then turned to Ling Yun who was following behind them. "Ah! Ling Yun! Thank you for fetching them!" he said. "They didn't run into trouble, did they?" he asked.

Ling Yun just smiled.

Qie Shi. "…" oh. They did.

Shu Mu, Xiao Le and Fei Yinzi. "…" we did.

Sun Rong laughed as he can already guess. "Really… you haven't changed, Cheng Sheng. There is always trouble when you are around." He said as he walked towards them after he wiped the glasses.

Cheng Sheng turned. "What can I do?" he asked. I am the protagonist. He thought. "It is the trouble that is looking for me and not the other way around." He said.

Qie Shi forced a laugh. "Anyway, let's all sit. I've already reserved us a room." He said and turned to the waiter that passed by. "Send us the foods I've told you in the room that I have reserved." He told him before he turned back to them. "Let's go!" he said as he pulled Sun Rong. It's been some time that they haven't seen Cheng Sheng.

Shu Mu, Xiao Le, Fei Yinzi and Ling Yun followed behind them.

Wuyang Sect.

"AH!" Wu Tao cried after Wu Tie slapped him when they arrived. "Brother…" he called. His voice filled with grievance.

"What the hell do I always tell you?! To control your temper, you bastard!" Wu Tie said as he kicked Wu Tao. "Now, you provoked the Yunxiao Inn! That is under the Righteous Alliance's protection! As well as the Shanliangde Sect's!" he said.

The Sun family has already taken control of the Shanliangde Sect five years ago after Fei Lin and Xi Ling left to wander around the world.

Wu Tao clenched his fists and lowered his head to hide his sneer. Righteous Alliance? Bah! They are just about to collapse because the Zunjingde Sect that is backing them is declining since Jing Rui still hasn't woken up! And what about the Shanliangde Sect? Can their hands reach Zhongyang fast if they really will make trouble with the Yunxiao Inn? Wu Tie is just too cautious!

Thinking this, he glared at Wu Tie who is still talking. "You just wish that those guests of the Yunxiao Inn won't bear grudges towards you. And father… he will definitely hear of this! You just wait when he comes back!" he said as he glared at him. "Don't leave this room and continue to kneel!" he said before he left and called their sect's disciples to watch over him.

Yunxiao Inn.

"Wuyang Sect, huh…" Cheng Sheng muttered as he sipped his tea.

"I've heard of them." Shu Mu spoke. "They were on the rise four years ago after the Zunjingde Sect… ehem." He coughed, not going to continue what he is going to say as they all understood.

The Zunjingde Sect really is in trouble because their leader is in a coma.

"Cheng Sheng, do you want to give them some trouble?" Qie Shi asked.

"No. I won't lower myself by quarreling with a child." Cheng Sheng spoke.

Shu Mu, Xiao Le and Fei Yinzi. "…" but you already did earlier… they thought. They immediately lowered their heads when they saw Cheng Sheng glared at them. They resumed eating.

"Let's wait for the Wuyang Sect to make a move first, then." Sun Rong spoke. "If Wu Tong is sensible, he should come and apologize for his son's audacious attitude." He sneered.

"Let's do that, then." They agreed.

"Anyway, you have met him." Qie Shi said and turned to Ling Yun. "He is Ling Yun, the eldest disciple of the Yuling Sect. His uncle is a client of ours, and we also became friends of their sect leader." He said.

Cheng Sheng's hand imperceptibly shook after he heard the words 'eldest disciple' before he immediately calmed himself. "He looks really promising." He said and smiled at Ling Yun. He noticed that Ling Yun has a good temperament, like Li Tian's.

"He also sent that Wuyang Sect away with just a few words!" Xiao Le said.

"Thanking senior for praising me. I am very happy." Ling Yun said and smiled as he raised his cup to them for a toast.

They looked more favorably at Ling Yun.

Ling Yun turned to Cheng Sheng. "Senior, earlier, Wu Tie – the older one of the two, when he attacked your disciple earlier…" he said.

Cheng Sheng nodded in understanding. "I know. He really mean to harm my disciple." He said. If there was no killing intent, he would've let Fei Yinzi also handle Wu Tie's attack. He knows that his disciple is progressing very fast, so Fei Yinzi could have defended himself from that attack.

But, he felt Wu Tie's killing intent and so he stopped the attack.

"Senior wasn't hurt, right?" Ling Yun asked. He has already heard about Cheng Sheng's condition and he really admired him. He treats him as a great hero for doing a big sacrifice in exchange for everybody's future.

Cheng Sheng is just in Golden Core Stage right now, and so is Wu Tie. But, Wu Tie's cultivation is higher than Cheng Sheng's, and so Cheng Sheng should have been hurt earlier.

"No." Cheng Sheng answered as he took out his fan and opened it.

The front of the fan has a beautiful landscape painting while on the back has words written.

"A spell?" they were surprised.

"Yes." Cheng Sheng nodded. It was because of this spell that made his fan, and himself, unharmed earlier from Wu Tie's attack. "Li-shixiong wrote it for me." He smiled.

Li Tian is a master spell caster, and Cheng Sheng is his master in Spell Casting. But, because Cheng Sheng's cultivation has dropped, Li Tian made a spell on Cheng Sheng's favorite fan which he made for him in the past.

"Li-shixiong is so thoughtful." Xiao Le spoke.

Cheng Sheng nodded in agreement. Then, he turned to Qie Shi. "About that demon…" he said.

Everyone immediately became serious.

"We found that demon because of the Yuling Sect." Qie Shi answered and looked at Ling Yun.

So, that's why Ling Yun is here. Cheng Sheng was wondering why Ling Yun fetched them earlier.

"Ling Yun can see through anyone's disguises, including the demons', so he found that demon." Qie Shi explained.

"I was born with these eyes, senior." Ling Yun told Cheng Sheng. "That's how I found you earlier." He explained.

Cheng Sheng suddenly felt that Ling Yun's attitude towards him is strange, but since he didn't feel any ill intent, he just shrugged. Instead, it was Shu Mu, Xiao Le and Fei Yinzi who realized it. Meanwhile, Sun Rong and Qie Shi just smiled.

Ling Yun is Cheng Sheng's fan. That is also the reason why Ling Yun frequents the Yunxiao Inn, hoping to see even just a glimpse of Cheng Sheng. Fei Yinzi suddenly felt a sense of crisis and he scooted closer to Cheng Sheng.

"Great. I am hoping to catch that demon in order to make a breakthrough in my research, and also to help the Zunjingde Sect." Cheng Sheng said as he looked at Ling Yun. "Do you want to help me? I'd really appreciate your help. Your eyes are very useful." He said. "Don't worry. I won't treat you badly. When I get my compensation from Jing Cheng and the Righteous Alliance, I'll also give you a share like Qie Shi's and Sun Rong's." he told him.

Everyone. "…." As expected. He is helping the Zunjingde Sect just for money and not out of kindness… they thought.

Ling Yun chuckled. "Senior, I don't need any compensation." He told him.

"Hm?" Cheng Sheng was surprised. "Then, what do you want?" he asked. He doesn't believe no one would do things without anything in return.

Ling Yun didn't immediately answer him. "In fact, senior…" he spoke. "These eyes of mine… can also see through one's soul." He told him.
