"There's… there's someone attacking the ship!!!" Lei Ling's eyes widened as his pupils glowed. He can see what's happening outside through his talismans.

"WHAT?!" Zuo Zhe exclaimed.

Qian Lin ran out of his room after he felt the violent tremor of the ship. He saw Zuo Zhe and Lei Ling lying on the floor of the ship and he ran towards them, disregarding the shaking of the ship. Meanwhile, Lei Qing and You Rou didn't. You Rou must be in the middle of refining medicine. Lei Qing stayed to protect her since You Rou can't be distracted.

"An attack?" Qian Lin asked as he pulled them up.

"Yes." Lei Ling nodded. "On the north side of the ship." He said and looked behind them. Fortunately, You Rou's room is located on the back side of the ship.

They placed her there for this kind of situation. It's always the front side of the ship that will be attacked, so You Rou could peacefully continue refining medicine as the impact of the attack would be lessen when it reached her side.

"I'll go!" Qian Lin said and was about to jump off of the ship when Lei Ling pulled him back.

"No!" Lei Ling said.

Qian Lin looked at him.

"The enemy is too strong!" Lei Ling said, his face and voice calm. Before, he is afraid of Qian Lin. Now, he finally could calmly talk to him. "I'm not underestimating you, but that the opponent is just very strong. He's a high-level Nascent Soul demonic cultivator!" he told him.

Qian Lin's pupils constricted. "What?!"

Lei Ling solemnly nodded. "He's many times stronger than the ones who attacked us before." He said. "You are also still recovering, so, please…" he sighed.

Qian Lin knows Lei Ling doesn't mean any malice. He just cares for his friends. He smiled at him. "I know. I won't be that reckless again." He told him.

Lei Ling sighed in relief. He turned to Zuo Zhe, looking aggrieved.

Zuo Zhe grimaced. "You really have a crow's beak!" he told him. "Don't worry. This barrier won't break." He told them.

"Huh?" Lei Ling and Qian Lin looked at him blankly.

Zuo Zhe's brow twitched. Do I really have to say it? He thought. "I tripled the barrier. And – " he said. " – each barrier is like Cheng Sheng's barrier." He added.

Lei Ling and Qian Lin were stunned. "Then, that means…" they said and looked at each other.

Zuo Zhe grinned. "Even if Wu Ran comes, he can't break them!" he said and laughed.

Lei Ling and Qian Lin also laughed. But, their laugh abruptly stopped when they noticed something. "Wait." They said. "If Wu Ran sent a high-level Nascent Soul demonic cultivator here, then…" their voice faded.

Zuo Zhe's laughter got stuck in his throat when he realized it. "F*ck!" he cursed and his expression turned ugly.

Lei Ling's and Qian Lin's eyes flashed in alarm. "Shall we go?" they asked.

"No!" Zuo Zhe said as he gnashed his teeth.

"But, the others..." they said.

"No!" Zuo Zhe repeated.

"Even though founder and shifu are in Immortalization Stage, as well as sect leader Jing, but they must be already exhausted." Lei Ling said.

Qian Lin nodded. "Elder Fei and elder Xie are in peak Nascent Soul Stage, like my elder brother." He said and suddenly remembered something. "Even if young master Yu helps them, but he can only help one side." He added.

Worry flashed in Zuo Zhe's eyes. He also knows this. He bit his lip and anxiously looked at the barrier surrounding the Millennium Ship. "I'll go." He said.

"Huh?" Lei Ling and Qian Lin looked at him in surprise.

Zuo Zhe didn't speak and just fiddled with his system. Qian Lin and Lei Ling watched him move his fingers mid-air, as if forming some seals.

"Don't worry." Zuo Zhe said after he set up the conditions of the barrier. "None can enter this ship unless I permit them to, so you will all be safe here." He said. Before Lei Ling and Qian Lin could speak, he added. "But, none of you can leave here, either." He told them.

Their eyes widened. "WHAT?!" they exclaimed.

"Trust me." Zuo Zhe told them before he pressed on the holographic keyboard of the system. Suddenly, light appeared underneath his feet before he was covered by the light.

He then disappeared.

Fei Lin and Qian Tian has just caught their breath when suddenly, they heard a loud crash behind them. They turned, just in time to see Xi Ling was pushed away by the force that came from the Ni Lai Gate.

"Ling!" Fei Lin cried and leapt to catch the falling Xi Ling. "Ling! Ling!" he called when he saw Xi Ling was unconscious, and his face and lips are deathly pale.

Qian Tian's expression changed, and Jing Bai and Feng Mo looked at each other. "Elder Fei!" they called. "Save elder Xi's life first! It's our turn to help sect leader Qian fend off these demonic cultivators!" they said.

Fei Lin nodded and looked at them, his eyes are filled with gratitude. "Thank you." He said as he brought Xi Ling to the side and gave him qi.

Qian Tian nodded at Jing Bai and Feng Mo. They just turned to face the demonic cultivator when they suddenly felt a strong pressure approaching them. Their expression immediately turned grave and they looked at the sky, only to see a demonic cultivator flying towards them. This oppressive pressure is coming from him!

"Brace yourselves." Qian Tian told Jing Bai and Feng Mo.

Jing Bai and Feng Mo nodded. They had just finished drinking the potions and eating the magic pills, making them become in between a low-level and mid-level Nascent Soul cultivator. Qian Tian is a peak level Nascent Soul cultivator, comparable to this approaching demonic cultivator. But, Qian Tian was exhausted since he fought earlier, and also covered for Fei Lin who is preserving his remaining strength in order to save Xi Ling.

"Uncle!" Jing Cheng and Jing Hei cried while Zheng Yi panicked after they saw Jing Rui's figure shook and collapsed after they dealt with another wave of demonic cultivators.

"Uncle." Jing Cheng called. "Please rest. Leave this to us." He told him.

Jing Rui looked at him, unwillingness in his eyes. However, he is too exhausted to speak.

"Just rest if you are tired. It's not as if your nephews will die." A voice spoke and someone landed near them. "I won't let anyone die." He said.

It was Yu Sheng!

Yu Sheng smiled. "That's my promise to Cheng Sheng." He told them before he turned to the sky.

They also turned when they felt a strong pressure mixed with killing intent directed at them. They were about to act when they felt a strong force behind them. They turned and saw Jing Kang collapsed.

"Jing Kang!" they cried as they ran past the barrier and went to help Jing Kang.

"Uncle." Jing Cheng called as he looked at Jing Kang's bloodless face. "Stay here with Jing Kang. I, Jing Hei, and Zheng Yi will go." He said. Before Jing Rui could protest, he spoke. "We won't lose. Yu Sheng is with us." He told him before he left without looking back.

Jing Hei looked at Jing Cheng's back and smiled at Jing Rui, reassuring him. "Uncle. Believe in us, okay?" he said and patted Jing Rui before he followed Jing Cheng.

Zheng Yi's brows knit as he looked at Jing Hei's back. He nodded at Jing Rui before he left. "We'll live." He said.

Jing Rui looked at them dumbfounded, before a smile formed on his lips. He turned to Jing Kang and then started to give him qi.

Xie Lan heard two loud crash behind him and he knew Fan Wen and Li Tian had succeeded in sealing the Ni Lai Gate. He waved his sword and formed a wall of fire between him and the demonic cultivators before he ran towards Fan Wen and Li Tian.

He saw Li Tian is unconscious while Fan Wen looked like he's in discomfort. He gave Fan Wen qi and woke him up. "Wen." He called.

Fan Wen's eyelids trembled before he opened them. "Lan…" he called and turned to see the wall of fire blocking the demonic cultivators from attacking them. "Thanks… I'm fine. I'll give xiao Tian qi. Just focus on the fight – " he told him before he crawled towards Li Tian.

Xie Lan wanted to say something, but seeing Fan Wen's exhausted face, he stopped. He smiled and dropped a kiss on Fan Wen's forehead before he walked back. He looked at the sky and saw a dark figure coming their way.

He took a deep breath and felt his arms are shaking from exhaustion. He doesn't want for Fan Wen to notice something. This is a critical juncture. And so, he tightened his hold on the hilt of his sword to have a firm grip. Fan Wen and Li Tian are still behind him. Feng Mo is fighting alongside Fei Lin, Xi Ling – his younger brother, Jing Bai and Qian Tian. Lei Ling, Lei Qing and You Rou are still on the Millennium Ship. And –

He took a deep breath. Cheng Sheng and Fei Yin. They are waiting for their support. He can't fall today, nor tomorrow and the succeeding days! He has to persevere to be alive!
