Chapter 1861: The Mysterious Vomiting Man
This was the first time An Lin had faced an attack from a paramount Heavenly God.
An ocean of golden liquid hurtled toward him; every single drop of which was imbued with the power to topple mountains and part seas.
“Holy f*ck! Are you serious?”
An Lin’s flesh crawled when he sensed the insane amount of power imbued within those countless drops of golden liquid.
His divine halo of mountains instantly appeared above his head as a suit of armor as thick and sturdy as Mount Buzhou appeared around his body. At the same time, his wind, lightning, metal, fire, and weather powers transformed into dao jades which revolved around his body, creating a defensive layer around him that consisted of six powers of the Heavenly Gods.
Bam bam bam!
One golden drop of liquid after another crashed into An Lin’s multi-elemental defensive barrier, triggering a series of explosive booms.
An Lin could sense that the golden liquid was imbued with the absolute might to infiltrate all things. This was the power of laws on an even higher level than the power he commanded, and he was struck by the urge to concede to this power.
He could see that the golden liquid was like the natural bane of other powers of the Heavenly Gods.
It was unyielding and refused to be destroyed as it crashed into his defenses, penetrating them layer by layer. Some of the liquid was only able to penetrate three or four layers, while others were able to penetrate all six layers before puncturing his body as well.
Lan Xiaoni was in an even more dire situation. Her power was bestowed upon her by the Heavenly Sea God in the first place, so she stood absolutely no chance against him. The barrier of water she unleashed was seemingly non-existent in the face of the golden liquid, and her slender waist, her fish tail, and even her chest and head were all punctured, and the excruciating pain brought her to the point of tears.
“Run! We have to get away from here!” An Lin latched onto Lan Xiaoni’s hand and unleashed all of his power in order to flee into the distance.

Lan Xiaoni looked on at the boundless sea of golden liquid hurtling toward her, and she knew that if they were allowed to fall upon her, she would most definitely be reduced to a piece of mermaid Swiss cheese.
Golden liquid shot forth in a dense skirmish.
They felt like they were two soldiers traversing through a lethal battlefield, and the only thought in their minds was to get away from this place…
After escaping for what felt like an eternity…
The golden liquid gradually dissipated.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh…
The sound of immense amounts of seawater tumbling into the hole reached their ears.
“Huff huff huff… Big Boss An Lin, we’re finally back…” Lan Xiaoni’s entire body was riddled with wounds, but she wore a relieved smile on her face.
“Escaping from the Heavenly Sea God really was extremely difficult. My defenses are almost completely ineffective against it.” An Lin heaved a long sigh of relief and swallowed an immortal pill before feeding Lan Xiaoni one as well.
The two of them emerged from the massive hole, and both of them were utterly exhausted.
They could feel that the Heavenly Sea God’s energy fluctuations still remained within their bodies. That vast and mighty power was still wreaking havoc upon their wounds.
There were even some injuries to their vital organs, and if it weren’t for the fact that their life forces were sufficiently powerful and they ran away quickly enough, they really could’ve died there.
“It looks like I’m still not powerful enough to face a paramount Heavenly God after all.” An Lin heaved a faint sigh.
He didn’t think that he would still be no match for a paramount Heavenly God even after absorbing the powers of six Heavenly Gods. It was as if they were on different planes of existence.
“Hmph, what an arrogant b*stard! Big Boss An Lin, you’re most definitely going to become more powerful than him in the future, and when that day comes, make sure you grind him into the dust!” Lan Xiaoni pouted with displeasure.
The two of them returned to the West Sea Alliance while treating their own injuries.
The residual power of the Heavenly Sea God was extremely fearsome. Each and every drop of golden liquid was imbued with power as vast as the ocean. It had taken a lot of effort for An Lin to rid himself of this residual power while Lan Xiaoni was still very much suffering.

This Heavenly Sea God really was doing all he could to make everything seem more convincing.
To think that he would be so cruel against his own comrades…
Of course, neither of them was going to reveal the details about their encounter with the Heavenly Sea God. The two of them even refrained from discussing that topic, and they referred to the Heavenly Sea God as a sworn enemy.
The Heavenly Sea God would descend upon this world three months later.
Everything would have to wait until then!
Lan Xiaoni already decided to return to the West Sea Alliance Headquarters and only battle the Heavenly Human Tribe when required in order to stall for three months.
An Lin was also planning to return to his sect and chill there for the duration of the next three months.
However, expectations often belied reality.
All of a sudden, they were greeted by a peculiar sight in the distance.
There was a man with a dark green halo above his head vomiting into the ocean. The entire section of the ocean within a radius of two thousand five hundred kilometers had been transformed into a vast expanse of inky blackness. Countless marine living beings were dying, and even extremely powerful sea monsters were not exempt from a fate of gruesome death.
“Eurgh eurgh eurgh…”
The man continued to vomit, and that unidentifiable black substance poured out of his mouth as if there was no end to it.
Only a radius of two thousand five hundred kilometers had been stained black, but the contaminated area most likely encompassed a radius of tens of thousands of kilometers, and it was still expanding, resulting in the deaths of countless living beings.
“I can sense from his energy fluctuations that he’s a Heavenly God! My God, what is he throwing up? And how could he throw up so much?!” An Lin was astonished.
Lan Xiaoni had already flared up with rage. “That b*stard is poisoning the ocean!”
An Lin: “…”
An Lin had only heard of sinister people poisoning the beverages of others, but this was the first time he had seen someone try to poison an entire ocean.
“Everyone has a responsibility to protect the environment! Let’s go f*ck him up!” As an environmental activist, An Lin was very angry. He didn’t know why that Heavenly God was doing what he was doing, but his sinister plot had to be stopped!
“My thoughts exactly!” Lan Xiaoni immediately unleashed her power of the Heavenly God before charging toward the vomiting male Heavenly God.
An Lin also activated all six of his divine halos and rushed toward the enemy.
The vomiting Heavenly God detected the energy fluctuations in the distance, and he looked up to discover a gorgeous mermaid and a man with a crimson divine halo above his head as well as five peculiar little balls revolving around him.
“Holy f*ck! Why is An Lin here?” The Heavenly God was completely dumbstruck. He knew that he was no match for An Lin, so he immediately fled.
He was the Heavenly Poison God, who was a subordinate to the Heavenly Life Goddess, and he had been sent here to poison the ocean as well as to spread his toxins in order to survey the West Sea.
In other words, he was a scout that had been sent to keep an eye on the West Sea Alliance.
He was thinking that he would be powerful enough to run away at the very least even if he encountered the leader of the West Sea Alliance, Lan Xiaoni, but who would have thought that such a terrifying being would pop up now?
Run!
The Heavenly Poison God transformed into a cloud of poison mist and fled for his life.
“You’re not getting away!” An Lin and Lan Xiaoni gave chase.
The Heavenly Poison God fled even faster.
How was he so unlucky? He had only been here for less than an hour, and he was already being confronted by An Lin!

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat, 10am Central/ 3pm GMT. ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
