Chapter 1860: A Traitor Among the Heavenly Gods
“A front?” An Lin was astonished.
Never would he have thought that he would hear something like this coming from the Heavenly Sea God.
“You’re even deceiving the other Heavenly Gods?” An Lin felt like this was completely absurd.
“Yes, but I can swear to the heavens that I won’t deceive you,” the Heavenly Sea God replied in an earnest voice.
An Lin was speechless. This b*stard IS the heavens! There’s no point in swearing a vow to yourself!
The Heavenly Sea God continued, “The Heavenly Gods think that I haven’t descended upon this world because I jumped the gun too early and am being more heavily restricted by the Tai Chu Continent. However, in reality, I could have descended upon the Tai Chu Continent a long time ago…”
“If that’s the case, then why do you still choose to confine yourself here?” An Lin asked.
The Heavenly Sea God turned toward Lan Xiaoni. “Why do you think I created this passageway? And why do you think I tried to recover Lan Xiaoni’s power of water after the passageway appeared?”
An Lin’s expression shifted slightly.
The Heavenly Sea God scrutinized An Lin with a serious expression. “That’s right, it’s all because of you! Did you think it was a coincidence that you would stumble upon three Heavenly Gods attacking Lan Xiaoni at the same time right after you arrived at the West Sea Alliance? This is all an act for the other paramount Heavenly Gods to see. In order to make things more convincing, I even sacrificed the Heavenly Weather God in order to create the false impression that we are sworn enemies.”
An Lin: “…”
“I did all of this so that I could attract you to this place. Only in this place can our conversation escape the detection of the four paramount Heavenly Gods…” The Heavenly Sea God spread his arms open, and the entire boundless ocean surged with his emotions.
“So why did you spend so much effort into getting me here?” An Lin was starting to panic a little. The Heavenly Sea God had even sacrificed one of its Heavenly God subordinates just to get him here. Just what was he plotting?

“Don’t you think that exterminating the entire human race or annihilating all of the living beings on the Tai Chu Continent are both very stupid ideas?” The Heavenly Sea God smiled.
“I do, very much so.” An Lin nodded.
“Then it appears that we share the same opinion.” The Heavenly Sea God nodded with approval.
An Lin and Lan Xiaoni were both dumbstruck upon hearing this.
The Heavenly Sea God’s next words made them even more astonished.
“Join me, Darkness. We’ll destroy Light, Earth, Life, and Heaven… Then I will become the Heavenly Dao!” The Heavenly Sea God smiled.
Lan Xiaoni was rooted to the spot in shock.
An Lin drew a sharp intake of breath.
The Heavenly Sea God continued, “This world is wrong. In other words, the will of the Heavenly Dao has arrived at a false conclusion. It thinks that creating Heavenly Gods and giving them sentient will would allow them to regulate this world and make it a better place. But look at what’s happening now. The four paramount Heavenly Gods do not see eye to eye, and Life and Heaven even want to kill Light and Earth…”
An Lin’s lips twitched. It was funny how the Heavenly Sea God was trying to stake the moral high ground when he was trying to kill all four of the other paramount Heavenly Gods.
“The world does not need too many voices, nor does it need so many idiots… Just one wise being is enough to regulate it. Only through an autocracy can stability be ensured and conflict be avoided.
“Give all of the powers to me, and I will end all conflict and lead this world to a better future,” the Heavenly Sea God vowed.
“Darkness, my best friend. I require your support.
“Don’t you want to get rid of your identity as a representative of the Heavenly Dao? In exchange for your help, I will use all of my power to separate the essence of your life from the power of darkness once all is said and done. You will retain your power and live happily ever after as a human.

“Exterminating the human race and exterminating all living beings on the Tai Chu Continent are bullsh*t ideas! We just need to maintain the current situation, and the continent will develop as normal… Brother Darkness, what do you think?”
An Lin and Lan Xiaoni were both dumbstruck after hearing the Heavenly Sea God’s bold plan.
This b*stard was more ambitious than anyone they had ever seen!
The Heavenly Sea God didn’t care about destroying the human race or cleansing the world of all living beings. He was trying to kill all of the Heavenly Gods and rule over the entire Heavenly Dao with his own will!
Who would have thought…
The Heavenly Sea God was actually the final BOSS!
He was already a paramount Heavenly God, but he was still dissatisfied.
He wanted to be truly paramount.
He was a traitor among the Heavenly Gods!
Initially, An Lin didn’t believe the Heavenly Sea God when he said that he thought that giving the Heavenly Gods sentient will was a mistake. However, he was beginning to believe those words now after hearing this followup spiel.
“Brother Sea, how can you guarantee that you won’t attack the human race or other living beings on the Tai Chu Continent once you succeed? How can you guarantee that you’ll carry out your promises?” An Lin asked.
“That’s simple… If I want to become the only being with sentient will in the Heavenly Dao, I have to fuse together with the realm core as the final step.
“Before I do that, I can swear to the realm core that I will keep all of my promises. If I go back on my word or tell a lie, the realm core will destroy me with the power of the entire world the moment I try to merge with it!” the Heavenly Sea God explained.
An Lin thought about this for a moment before nodding in approval.
This was indeed a good idea.
“Brother Darkness, are you willing to help me now?” the Heavenly Sea God asked.
An Lin didn’t entirely believe what the Heavenly Sea God was saying, but this was quite a good course of action, and he had no reason to refuse.
The Heavenly Sea God required his power, but he also required the Heavenly Sea God’s power.
“Alright, tell me what you need me to help you with.” An Lin nodded.
The Heavenly Sea God plunged a hand slowly into his own heart before pulling out a crystal about the size of a thumb. “This is my heart clone. You can refine it and wear it as an accessory. We can use it to communicate with one another and still escape detection.”
“That’s a good idea…” An Lin smiled.
“The main reason I drew you to this place was to avoid detection from the Heavenly Heaven God and to give you this item.” The Heavenly Heaven God smiled.
The two of them conversed in a friendly manner with one another for a while longer.
“It’s time for you to go back. If you stay here for too long, the other paramount Heavenly Gods are going to get suspicious. I’ll tell you the specific details when I truly descend upon the Tai Chu Continent. Continue to develop as normal for now…” the Heavenly Sea God instructed.
“Alright, I’ll be taking my leave then.” An Lin and Xiao Lan flew upward.
“Wait, you’re forgetting something…” The Heavenly Sea God extended a hand.
“What is it?” An Lin was perplexed.
“Of course it’s…” The Heavenly Sea God smiled before the boundless golden liquid behind him began to emanate extremely fearsome might and surged toward An Lin!
“My attack package…”
