Chapter 1517: Emperor Bei Xing’s Demise
The snowy-white sword blade pierced through his body.
An Lin groaned in pain as blood trickled from the corners of his lips again.
Emperor Bei Xing was dumbstruck. It didn’t think An Lin was actually going to stab himself! Furthermore, couldn’t he be a little more accurate? Why was he stabbing his waist instead of his heart?
Before everyone had a chance to be surprised, something even more astonishing happened.
The pure white sword blade released an extremely holy light, which spread to every corner of An Lin’s body, healing his body and destroying that invisible, destructive power within!
An Lin was filled with vitality and vigor again.
It was quite clear that his two-hour death curse had been removed.
“This… How is this possible?!” Emperor Bei Xing yelled with incredulity upon seeing this, “I sacrificed my life force to unleash that Star of Tragedy! How could you rid yourself of its effects just by stabbing yourself! That’s not fair! It’s impossible!”
Emperor Bei Xing was plunged into despair.
A nonchalant smile appeared on An Lin’s face. “My power is unfathomable to trash like you.”
Boom!
Emperor Bei Xing felt as if it had been struck by lightning and was rooted to the spot. For some reason, it felt like the man standing before him was practically glowing.
A Return to Void Stage cultivator who could trample upon Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures really was not someone it could fathom…
“You’ll pay for trying to curse my An Lin!” Xu Xiaolan no longer had any inhibitions now that An Lin was healed, and her sword intent soared into the heavens as she slashed her Dragon Sparrow Sword down upon Emperor Bei Xing!
At the same time, the Celestial Thearch, Zhu Xuze, and Situ Feng also entered the fray.
An Lin stood silently on the spot with a calm and collected expression.
“Oi, have you flexed enough? If you have, then hurry up and let me rest. That curse technique was really exhausting to dispel,” a cold and disdainful voice sounded.
“You’re the best, Little Xie! Go back and rest.” An Lin sheathed his Evil-Slaying Sword with a wide grin.

The spell technique he had just used was one the spell techniques Little Xie had attained after becoming a divine tool—Vanquish the Heavens and Slay All Evil, Purification! This spell technique could purify all debilitating effects on the target’s body.
The last time he used this technique was to help Liu Qianhuan recover from Patriarch Shen Teng’s poison. This really was an extremely useful technique!
Just as these thoughts were running through his mind, Emperor Bei Xing let loose its final wail of anguish. After being incinerated by Holy Flames, viciously pecked at by the phoenix, and sliced by Xu Xiaolan’s sword, it was finally completely destroyed, along with its consciousness, by the Celestial Thearch’s Celestial Thearch Seal.
Heaven and earth mourned the passing of another Dao Integration Stage super mighty figure!
A sense of grief welled up in everyone’s heart again.
A melancholy blue star appeared in the sky.
It seemed to be telling a story of the past.
All of the living beings in the southern region of the Kingdom of the Nine States could see this dazzling star, and an indescribable sense of sorrow welled up in their hearts as they basked under the starlight.
Of course, those with advanced cultivation bases could sense true intent amid the sorrow, thereby advancing further on the path of cultivation.
Furthermore, the closer a living being was to where the star was situated, the more benefit they would reap. The three million cultivators had benefited significantly from today’s battle as they had been blessed by the reciprocation from two Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures in quick succession. There were now a dozen or so cultivators who immediately began making breakthroughs. Everyone else also attained enlightenment even if they weren’t making any breakthroughs.
An Lin and the others were the closest ones to the blue star, and they attained even more profound enlightenment. All of them felt like they could see Emperor Bei Xing’s life story, and this was a very tragic life.
Emperor Bei Xing’s parents were twisted blue spirit bodies, but they produced a green spirit body. The color disparity made Bei Xing’s father very angry, and he would often physically abuse Bei Xing.

Thus, Bei Xing’s childhood was fraught with domestic violence.
Due to the poverty it had lived in, the nutrient fluid it had ingested during its childhood was poisonous. Excessive consumption resulted in stones forming within its body, making it unable to expel liquid, and it almost died as a result, but it somehow made it through that ordeal.
Emperor Bei Xing was a living being from the Void Ball Tribe, which was a very lowly tribe in the Void Spirit Realm. Emperor Bei Xing had been domestically abused in its youth, and it finally made its way out into the world, but it was often looked down on.
At school, it was always being bullied.
Even doctors would bully it when it became sick. They would often use inferior quality medicine and inject poisonous vaccines into its body, resulting in an irreversible allergic reaction, which made sharp spikes grow all over its body.
With its strange, spiky appearance, not only was it rejected by other beings from the Void Spirit Tribe, but it was also rejected by its own Void Ball Tribe and even its own parents. It was as if heaven and earth had renounced it.
Bei Xing felt like this entire world was filled with grief, and that it simply didn’t belong anywhere.
It had had enough of this world where no one loved it, and it finally left home.
After that, its life became a hellish experience.
The Void Spirit Realm was filled with insane, ghostly creatures who took great pleasure in bullying Bei Xing.
Bei Xing could only constantly cry and crawl along the ground. It had only one thought in its heart, and that was that it had to survive.
It couldn’t die no matter how grief-stricken or painful its life was!
Finally, it encountered a Big Sister Skeleton.
This skeleton was the warmest and gentlest living being it had ever met. Not only did she accept its spiky appearance, she always gave it warm hugs, taught it to cultivate, and fed it tasty food…
The skeleton was the only ray of sunlight in its life.
She was the only warmth it had experienced in this world!
Bei Xing decided that when it grew up, it was going to repay her for her kindness!
However, after it grew up, the skeleton sold it…
Within a rare treasure shop.
“This is a Void Ball Tribe living being with black spikes all over its body. It’s extremely rare and possesses exceptional cultivation aptitude. I usually wouldn’t sell such a rare specimen, so you better give me a good price for it…”
The skeleton bartered with the shop owner.
Bei Xing could never forget her words that day. He could never forget her smile and how she had left with her spirit stones without even a second glance back at it…
It had regarded her as family, but she treated it like merchandise.
Grief swept through its heart in a crushing wave…
Insanity and grief engulfed its final shred of consciousness…
It had been plunged into absolute darkness!
This world was filled with grief and sin, so why not just destroy it?!
When Bei Xing came to its senses again, the skeleton had already been swallowed into its stomach.
It began an arduous cultivation journey.
It had no family, no friends, no lovers, only grief. Grief was its constant companion.
Slowly, it began to enjoy grief. It began to enjoy death, failure, and the sensation of crying. It had even attained a domain of grief, which it could use to make others experience its grief.
It was extremely satisfied by the sight of other living beings being driven insane by its grief. Emotions really were a universal language in this world…
Bei Xing progressed further and further on the dao of grief and became the vastly renowned Emperor Bei Xing in the Void Spirit Realm. Its grief could influence an entire star!
In the end, it suffered a tragic death at the hands of a mob of Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures.
In the sky above, the blue star of grief slowly dissipated.
Its disappearance signified the destruction of Emperor Bei Xing’s divine dao…
An Lin observed the story of Emperor Bei Xing’s life, and he gave his review.
“Nutjob!”
However, perhaps Emperor Bei Xing was only able to progress so far on the path to seeking dao due to these extremely pure emotions…
