Chapter 1228: Savior An Lin
All of the Heavenly Sword Sect disciples stared blankly at this astonishing scene.
The golden flying swords crashed down upon the powerful crimson humans. These swords were imbued with the power of the Divine Weapon Origin Energy, and all of the crimson humans were sliced apart like tofu!
There were indeed many crimson humans, but the sheer amount of golden flying swords struck despair into the hearts of all of the crimson humans!
All of them were sliced into several pieces before being completely inundated by the boundless golden flying swords.
Not only that, but the flying swords cascaded onto the ground below, shredding the sea of red spider lilies.
Boom!
The earth tremored violently.
The Heavenly Sword Sect disciples felt as if they were seeing an unstoppable ocean of golden lightning crashing down from the heavens, engulfing the crimson humans and destroying the crimson flower formation before finally transforming the earth into a sea of golden swords…
Crack!
An explosive sound suddenly erupted, as if something had been shattered.
Zhao Siming’s pupils contracted. “An Lin was able to break the flower slaughter formation with his brute strength alone! What a terrifying power!”
There was no need to study the formation for any flaws that could be taken advantage of when you could just use brute force to destroy the entire thing!
The entire terrain was now completely unrecognizable after being ravaged by the boundless sword intent.
The flying swords began to fly back toward the blue hole.
The hole twisted and warped before reverting back to become a blue necklace.
“Well, that was pitiful.”
An Lin shook his head before putting his necklace away and turning to everyone else.
He discovered that all of the Heavenly Sword Sect disciples were still staring at him in astonishment, as if they hadn’t yet recovered from their shock.
“So… so powerful…” Words of praise slipped out of Xue Shan’s mouth.
The disciple that had proclaimed that An Lin would be killed by the formation was too embarrassed to even look directly into An Lin’s eyes. All he wanted to do was to find a hole in the ground and crawl into it.

As for the other disciples, all of them wore complex expressions. Some were humiliated, some were in awe and veneration, and some were full of gratitude… After all, An Lin had saved their lives!
“Thank you…” a disciple murmured in a quiet voice.
A faint smile appeared on An Lin’s face, and no one knew whether he had heard those words of gratitude or not. He turned to the bloodstained Sun Yuluo and tossed a high-rank spirit pill to him with a smile. “You did well just then. Even though your fellow sect disciples looked down on you and insulted you, you still faced those crimson humans and tried to fight for their survival… That spirit pill is a reward to you!”
Sun Yuluo finally came to his senses after catching the spirit pill, and he looked at An Lin with a frenetic gleam in his eyes. “Sword Immortal An Lin, you… you were so cool just then!”
He had always worshipped An Lin, but only after witnessing those scenes that had just transpired did he manage to confirm that he was right to worship him!
An Lin was every bit as bad*ss as the rumors stated!
“This is the sword immortal that Sun Yuluo reveres the most?” Zhao Siming murmured to himself. “Such a pure and profound sword intent is probably unmatched by anyone within the Heavenly Sword Sect aside from Sect Leader Liu Mingxuan…”
He had sensed an extraordinary sword intent from the Divine Weapon Origin Energy.
All of the Heavenly Sword Sect disciples were still rooted to the spot, at a complete loss for what to do.
They were embarrassed to look at An Lin, but they were even more embarrassed to look at Sun Yuluo.
They had looked down on Sun Yuluo, and they even hurled abuse at him because his idol was An Lin.
However, Sun Yuluo had repaid their disdain with kindness by risking his life to save everyone in their hour of need. Not only that, but Sun Yuluo’s idol, An Lin, had saved everyone’s life by eliminating their insurmountable enemies with his unrivaled power.

They felt like they had been viciously slapped in the face…
Even though An Lin and Sun Yuluo hadn’t said anything, the humiliation in their hearts was making them feel extremely uneasy.
“Looks like you’re all safe now. Let’s go.” An Lin rode onto Da Bai again.
“Wait for me, Sword Immortal An Lin!” Sun Yuluo immediately hurried over.
The six Heavenly Sword Sect disciples looked on in silence as An Lin and Sun Yuluo departed.
“They left just like that.”
“I thought they would hurl some insults at us before they left.”
“Don’t you think that not saying anything is actually the most scathing insult?”
“Sigh…” Zhao Siming heaved a faint sigh. “Let’s focus on the task at hand. We have to recover the ancient sword as quickly as possible.”
All of the disciples nodded upon hearing this. Finding the ancient sword was their top priority.
Meanwhile, An Lin suddenly stopped as he rode atop Da Bai’s back.
“What is it, Sword Immortal An Lin?” Sun Yuluo asked.
A white light flashed past An Lin’s eyes as he replied, “This is the core of that flower slaughter formation.”
“Hasn’t the flower slaughter formation already been destroyed by you? Why do we still need the core of the formation?” Sun Yuluo was perplexed.
“That was a natural formation. Do you think just a plantation of red spider lilies alone could maintain the operation of such a terrifying slaughter formation?” An Lin slowly descended to the ground.
Sun Yuluo’s eyes lit up with excitement.
An Lin gripped the air, and the soil on the ground suddenly began to crack open.
After a burst of rumbling, a crimson light erupted, and an object which appeared to be a stamen hovered toward An Lin before landing in his hand. It was exuding an extremely formidable energy fluctuation and releasing a peculiar, depraved rhythm.
Divine Inspection Technique!
[Dark Blood Divine Flower: This is a naturally formed stamen that is imbued with an extreme killing intent after being nurtured by boundless blood and resentment for tens of thousands of years. This is a divine-rank material.]
A smile appeared on An Lin’s face. Another divine-rank material. What a massive haul!
“Let’s continue, Da Bai,” An Lin instructed.
Da Bai was a perfect navigator with his astonishing sense of smell. In this place, he was like a divine tool!
“Big Brother An, I can detect an extremely stimulating scent coming from that direction, woof!” Da Bai flew toward a certain direction with excitement on his face.
Sun Yuluo checked the map with a tense expression. “That area has been labeled on the map. It is Bai Yan City, and it has been annotated with the highest level of danger…”
They had already entered the core region of the Dead Spirit Demonic Land, so they had to tread with the utmost caution from here onward.
“Danger and opportunity come hand in hand. Besides, the map indicates that there’s a tall mountain in that place. We could see if that’s the blood-erupting mountain,” An Lin said with a nonchalant expression.
After a short while, an extremely grand city appeared before their eyes.
Desolation, dilapidation… There was nothing there aside from the bone-chilling dark winds that blew constantly.
Sun Yuluo grabbed Da Bai’s tail with trembling hands as they flew over the city.
All of a sudden, they stumbled upon a small child wearing yellow, linen garments with his back facing them. He was drawing circles into the ground relentlessly.
“Hehe, hehe…” Eerie chuckles reverberated through the air.
Even An Lin’s powerful divine sense was unable to detect this small child’s power level.
“Let’s go have a look, Da Bai,” An Lin instructed.
Da Bai carefully descended behind the child as per An Lin’s instructions.
