Chapter 1219: Secret of the Divine Dark Dao Sect
An Lin flew toward the Four Nine Immortal Sect after dealing with Huang Fuwen and the white-haired elder.
He had finally obtained the Dark Essence Crystal. This was one of the core materials for modifying the Starfire Battleship.
He curiously refined Huang Fuwen’s storage ring and looked inside to see what there was.
The storage ring held all of Duan Feiyang and Huang Fuwen’s wealth.
Contained inside was the Mysterious Snow Heavenly Ice Root, which was worth five million spirit stones. In addition, there were also thirteen spirit tools, hundreds of spirit pills, three immortal pills, five million and eight hundred thousand spirit stones, the immortal material Demonic Emperor’s Skeleton, and five multi-colored beads.
“Huh? What are these beads?” An Lin was quite curious.
He retrieved the five beads and activated his Divine Inspection Technique.
[Sky Sealing Dark King Bead: Collect all nine beads that the Sky Sealing Dark King distributed within this world, and you will have a chance to inherit the Sky Sealing Dark King’s true inheritance from the Dark King Palace.]
An Lin’s expression changed drastically. “Sky Sealing Dark King?!”
The Sky Sealing Dark King was infamous throughout the entire Tai Chu Continent. In the Kingdom of the Nine States, his title was a synonym for terror.
Tens of thousands of years ago, the Sky Sealing Dark King was the strongest demon king of the Kingdom of the Nine States. He founded the Divine Dark Dao Sect, and it was rumored that he had two super mighty beings of the Dao Integration Stage under his command. In addition, there were hundreds of Return to Void Stage cultivators in his sect. His influence was immense, and even the Heavenly Court’s rule was threatened by him.
At that time, there were genuine demonic sects. Many sects dared to label themselves as demonic sects, and they openly practiced sinister cultivation methods. They committed evil and brought misery and destruction wherever they went…
There was no special reason for this. These sects were merely emulating the juggernaut Divine Dark Dao Sect!
In the end, however, the Five Heavenly Emperors of the Heavenly Court teamed up with the sect leaders of the Four Great Sects and exterminated the Divine Dark Dao Sect. Moreover, they annihilated all the demonic sects in the Kingdom of the Nine States and massacred all the demonic cultivators!
Even until today, there were still many legends regarding that earth-shattering battle.
“The Divine Dark Dao Sect’s Sky Sealing Dark King and two Dao Integration Stage cultivators have already been dead for so long. Who knew that their inheritances would still exist in the world?

“Huang Fuwen had extraordinary talents, and he also carried an old grandpa with him. If he received this inheritance, perhaps he would’ve grown stronger at a terrifying speed. However, he encountered me…”
An Lin smiled faintly. What Child of Destiny? What pinnacle of the divine dao?
In his eyes, that lad was a mentally challenged retard!
However, this retard had a terrifying knack for coming across great opportunities.
“You went to so many troubles to gather these treasures… I’ll help you look after them.”
An Lin put the beads back and continued to look through the storage ring. Sure enough, he found a map of the Divine Dark Dao Sect in the storage ring.
The location marked out on the map was not where the obliterated Divine Dark Dao Sect once lay. Rather, it was a new Divine Dark Dao Sect, which was founded before the main sect was destroyed and built to pass on the inheritances!
This was getting quite interesting…
Next to the map was another nine attached drawings. These drawings marked out where the nine Sky Sealing Dark King Beads were located. Five of these maps had a cross on them, and it was clear that the beads in those locations had already been obtained.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk… One can experience a meteoric rise in power if they collect all nine beads? And he even had an old grandpa helping him out? How remarkable…” An Lin couldn’t help but chuckle as he murmured to himself.
The attached drawings were most likely drawn by the divine sense grandpa.
This old grandpa’s divine sense had a feeling of decay to it, and it was evident that he had lived for countless years. As such, his divine sense was also extremely feeble. Even so, his power was still mighty and terrifying. While he was alive, he was definitely a super mighty being of the Dao Integration Stage.
His cultivation base was extremely high, and he also understood the Divine Dark Dao Sect extremely well… Perhaps that divine sense grandpa was a surviving Dao Integration Stage cultivator of the Divine Dark Dao Sect!
“Did I accidentally slay a great demon king in its cradle?” A feeling of pride suddenly welled up in An Lin’s heart.
A short while later, An Lin arrived at the Four Nine Immortal Sect.
Bai Ling was dressed in a refined white dress, and she cheerily welcomed An Lin at the gates of the sect.
Behind her was a group of core disciples, as well as the off-duty members of the Divine Mirror Enforcement Team.

An Lin suddenly felt a sense of foreboding.
“Welcome back, Sect Leader! The Sect Leader’s divine glow will shine for eternity, and the ballads of his legendary feats shall be sung for countless generations to come!”
The group of core disciples and Divine Mirror Enforcement Team members yelled in unison, and their chant of praise boomed through the skies.
An Lin winced. As expected.
“I’m just visiting the sect casually,” An Lin said in exasperation. “There’s no need to be so ceremonious.”
Bai Ling shook her head and chuckled. “Sect Leader personally went on a mission, yet we were unable to provide any help. Thus, this is merely to express our gratitude… Say, you’re really reliable as well. You dealt with the matter so quickly.”
“Naturally. The perpetrator, Huang Fuwen, has already been killed by me. We’ll punish anyone who dares to challenge the Four Nine Immortal Sect, no matter how far away they are!” An Lin spoke firmly as he handed the Dark Essence Crystal to Bai Ling.
A feeling of pride welled up in the disciples’ hearts when they heard this.
As for the members of the Divine Mirror Enforcement Team, their eyes were red, and they all gazed at An Lin with fervent expressions.
They were all from the Divine Mirror World, thus they didn’t actually feel a strong sense of belonging in the Four Nine Immortal Sect.
However, after learning of the Second Divine Mirror Enforcement Team’s fate, An Lin—the sect leader—immediately rushed over to slay the enemy. This kind of action and resolution moved them greatly.
Since he had returned to the sect, An Lin went to check on the restoration progress of the Starfire Battleship.
Currently, the restoration progress was already at ten percent complete.
Bai Ling activated the power of her Small World, and it was as though she had suddenly grown hundreds of thousands of pairs of new arms. She grabbed at materials continuously, and some of her “arms” forged while others welded and stitched. An Lin was dazzled by this sight, and he couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.
Not only did this massive workload require strong control over the jurisdiction of the Small World, but it also required one’s brain to be immensely powerful.
This wasn’t as simple as concentrating on two things at once. This was concentrating on tens of thousands of things at once!
An Lin felt like he could never reach Bai Ling’s level in this regard. Thus, he could only step back in shame and quietly sort through his storage ring.
…
In fact, he could add searching for the Dark Beads to his schedule.
Right now, there were only four Dark Beads left to collect. The places that they were located in were most likely places where Huang Fuwen wasn’t powerful enough to set foot upon. One of the maps had Soul Formation Final Stage written on it, two of them had Return to Void Initial Stage written on it, and the last one had Return to Void Intermediate Stage written on it…
The requirements are all so low!
An Lin felt like he could collect them all.
However… Huang Fuwen could battle against Soul Formation Pinnacle Stage cultivators when he was only of the Soul Formation Intermediate Stage. Thus, he needed to increase the estimates a little bit. So…
An Lin still felt like he could collect them all!
His only worry was that the Sky Sealing Dark King’s inheritance wouldn’t be suitable for him. It would be a great loss if his mind was accidentally affected by the inheritance, and he ended up becoming a Great Demon Lord…
After all, he only wanted to be a good citizen.
He finished dealing with the matter concerning the Starfire Battleship.
An Lin stayed at the sect for another day. While he was there, he helped his youngest disciple, Ye Ling, practice her sword techniques.
Ye Ling was extremely hardworking, and she was also very composed. It was as if there was some obsessive resolution in her mind. Her large and adorable eyes were especially bright, and they appeared fully devoted, just like her dao heart.
An Lin thought that Ye Ling had performed outstandingly, so he rewarded her with a pile of spirit pills and spirit fruits.
“Wow! Thank you, Master…
“I want this one, that one, and also that one!”
“Okay… Open up, ahhh…”
An Lin plopped a spirit fruit into Ye Ling’s pink and dainty mouth.
Feeding his adorable little disciple was also a wonderful experience.
His one day tour around the sect came to an end.
An Lin summoned his great mount, Da Bai, and set off toward the first location where a Dark Bead would be at.
Dead Spirit Demonic Land!

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up? DEDICATION: This story is dedicated to my father who passed away recently. Jim Holloway, you’ll be missed you old silverback gorilla. Love you dad. Always have, always will.

Tale of the mage hero [Completed]
so I've been into rising of the shield hero for a while now... a lot of things about it ALWAYS bugged me starting with the fact that the world functions like a game and the heroes are supposed to fight together in a party.... BUT WHERE'S THE ARCHMAGE?! THE BLATANT DISRESPECT TO THE MAGE CLASS IS REAL AND ANGERING! so I decided as a gamer who rather enjoys being a mage and healer, I'd rectify that. and other things. for all intents and purposes this is a self insert but I will be using my proxy OC that I use in my nutty fangirl daydreams. DON'T WORRY! I'M NERFING MY PROXY! this will follow the plot of the anime because..... I want to. and I'm..... LAZY~! and using the manga is too much trouble and the light novel is 800+ chapters long. So FUCK THAT! anyways if you read this and think it's lackluster then I want to see you try your hand at writing tate no yuusha fics! no that's not a challenge or insult it's just a desperate plea for more tate fics... we need some more variety! Alright I'm gonna be honest here. This story is laughably bad. So read at your own risk. The only reason I'm not revising it is because 1 I'm Lazy as fuck and 2 to serve as a lesson on what NOT to do for new writers. So like I said, read at your own risk.
