Chapter 1045: The Rise of Lan Xiaoni

Strength was the most important thing in a quest to secure the treasures! She would have to possess sufficient strength if she wanted a chance at the treasure!

With this in mind, a buoyant smirk appeared on An Lin’s face. “Hey, Underling Lan, be careful and make sure you don’t die on that bridge.”

Lan Xiaoni aimed a vicious glare at An Lin before continuing onward.

Lan Xiaoni’s battle with the big-headed skeleton was a clear indication that the BOSS-level monsters of these worlds were not easy to kill, so it was yet to be seen whether she was capable of defeating one.

Lan Xiaoni was naturally aware of this as well. Before the monsters had even made a move, she had already unleashed her white ball and the little blue fish as defensive measures.

Just as she was flying toward the wooden bridge, a powerful force that restricted flight suddenly descended upon her.

Lan Xiaoni let loose a surprised scream as her body plummeted from the sky.

After that, she had no choice but to wriggle her fishtail and continue “walking” forward.

The strange sea monsters on either side of her suddenly opened their eyes before raising their weapons, upon which powerful auras erupted from their bodies.

Lan Xiaoni was already prepared, and she let loose a clear cry before unleashing a defensive spell technique…

An Lin had settled down with some figurative popcorn and was preparing himself for a good show when a shocking scene unfolded before his eyes.

All of the sea monsters suddenly half-knelt onto their respective circular boards before bowing their heads. “We pay our respects to the princess of the Spirit Fish Clan!”

All of the sea monsters spoke in a loud, unified voice.

An Lin’s eyes widened with shock.

Lan Xiaoni was also given quite a fright, and her little blue fish almost fell to the ground.

What the f*ck? I regard you as enemies, but you’re kneeling down to me?

Soon, her expression lit up, and she began to chortle with glee. “Hahaha… An Lin, you see that? This is what fate has chosen. This treasure belongs to me!”

What could An Lin say? She was an invincible backdoor entrant!

Now that all of the small fry had conceded to her, was the final BOSS also going to kneel before her and chop its own head off?

What a bullsh*t trial!

If Xi Haizi really wanted to open a backdoor, couldn’t he just give the treasure to Lan Xiaoni instead of wasting all of this time?

An Lin: “F*ck!”

“Hahaha…” Lan Xiaoni was ecstatic upon seeing An Lin’s enraged expression. She felt like all of the negative emotions in her heart had been washed away, and she hummed a happy tune as she made her way to the end of the wooden bridge.

All of the sea monsters were still kneeling down to welcome their regal princess.

Lan Xiaoni didn’t have to walk long before the end of the wooden bridge appeared in front of her eyes.

Her brows furrowed slightly. This wooden bridge was not actually as long as it looked. It had only been enchanted by some sort of illusionary spell technique to prevent people from being able to see the end of the bridge.

At the end of the bridge lay a golden throne.

There was a monster with dark golden skin sitting on the throne. This was a monster with an octopus head, a human body, and a silvery-white trident in its hand.

This was most likely the final BOSS.

Lan Xiaoni placed her hands on her hips with a high and mighty expression. “Kneel down to me and hand over your treasure! Perhaps I might spare your life then!”

She was quite the cocky noob!

The octopus monster stood up from the throne before bowing lightly to Lan Xiaoni with a smile. “My beautiful princess, welcome to the Wooden Bridge Palace. I am Ji De.”

Lan Xiaoni didn’t really take it to heart that the BOSS had only bowed to her and not kneel down. She extended a slender hand. “Ji De, give me your treasure, and I will leave.”

Ji De nodded with a smile. “If the princess wants my treasure, then I will be sure to provide it.”

A sense of joy welled up in her heart. She didn’t think that asking for the treasure would actually work! She could finally bring some treasure back to her clan and fulfill everyone’s expectations of her!

“However…” A mysterious smile appeared on Ji De’s face, and it scanned its eyes across Lan Xiaoni’s body with a hint of lust on its face. “Princess, you’ll have to marry me first.”

Boom!

Its words were like a clap of thunder exploding in Lan Xiaoni’s head.

“Wh… what did you say?”

Lan Xiaoni’s eyes widened with incredulity as she stared at the octopus monster standing before her.

After the illusionary spell technique was dispelled, An Lin could also see what was going on, and he was a little dumbstruck by this development too.

“If you marry me, everything here will be yours.” Ji De waved a lavish hand at the palace around them before turning to look at Lan Xiaoni with a scorching light in its eyes. “I can smell your fragrance, and from your exquisite beauty, I can sense the enticing blood flowing in your veins… I must have you!”

“Do you want to die?!”

Lan Xiaoni finally exploded with rage, and her aura erupted from her body.

“Why don’t you go take a piss and look at your reflection in it? How dare you propose to me when you’re so damn ugly?!” Lan Xiaoni activated her little blue fish and white ball at the same time before charging toward Ji De!

An Lin was shocked. Lan Xiaoni was angry because the octopus monster was ugly?

“Dark Blue Snakes!” Ji De’s left hand swept through the air, and over a hundred little blue snakes imbued with the extremely pure power of water swept toward Lan Xiaoni as the silver trident in its right hand pierced through the air toward the little blue fish.

Boom!

The little blue fish clashed with the silver trident, upon which an ear-splitting boom erupted.

Terrifying shockwaves swept forth for over a kilometer but was unable to destroy the bridge. It appeared as if this wooden bridge was constructed from some sort of special material.

The power Ji De possessed was already comparable to rookie Return to Void Stage mighty figures. Thus, the little blue fish was immediately swept away by the power of its trident.

Lan Xiaoni activated her white ball to unleash a series of ice swords in order to slice Ji De’s little snakes apart.

At this moment, Ji De was already charging toward Lan Xiaoni, and its silver trident pierced through the air en route to Lan Xiaoni’s body.

“Water Formation Wall!” Lan Xiaoni let loose a clear cry as a wall of water took shape around her.

The silver trident struck the wall of water, upon which a scintillating light burst forth.

Boom!

The power of the silver trident exploded, and the wall of water was shattered.

Lan Xiaoni’s body flew back from the shockwaves as she retreated toward the wooden bridge.

“Flowing Space!” Lan Xiaoni hadn’t even landed on the ground before pulling out a talisman.

The talisman began to burn in the air, upon which a light sheen appeared on her skin.

This was another one of her trump cards that could grant her immunity to an enemy’s spatial seal!

“You’ll fall in love with me! Even though I’m very ugly, my soul will intoxicate you.” The octopus monster lunged toward Lan Xiaoni with a scorching light in its eyes as the tentacles on its chin squirmed with excitement.

As it spoke, Ji De extended its left hand to grip the air before it.

“Spatial seal!”

Crack…

Everything within a certain area was congealed.

It’s here!

Lan Xiaoni gritted her teeth, and the faint sheen on her body suddenly glowed with a bright light as she broke out of Ji De’s spatial seal using an extremely agile maneuver.

“Impossible!” Ji De’s expression shifted.

“Die! Your treasure is mine!”

Lan Xiaoni took advantage of Ji De’s momentary stupor to activate the little blue fish behind Ji De.

The little blue fish flew toward Ji De’s back like a bolt of blue lightning!
