Chapter 924: The Mysterious Powerful Being of the Arena
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
The Sun Tree Arena’s gates were extremely magnificent, with two golden stone pillars over a kilometer tall each acting as the support.
The interior was also extremely majestic and grandiose. In the application hall, there were statues of the ten past Sun Tree War Gods, and they stood with regal might.
A series of birds with powerful auras walked around in the hall. Some of them were here to sign up, others were here to spectate.
In battles of this level, the spectators were not just here for entertainment.
There were many powerful beings who could attain enlightenment from witnessing the battles.
Some of them sat in their seats and surveyed the battle, only to suddenly attain enlightenment and make a breakthrough. This wasn’t even a rare occurrence here.
The arena fighters weren’t just clowns in everyone’s eyes. They were true heroes who deserved admiration and respect. It was also exactly because of this that the arena champions had a chance to go to the legendary seventh level.
The yellow cow’s gold-tier tour guide badge was quite useful here as well, and they managed to get fast-tracked to the front of the queue.
A white oriole looked at An Lin with a smile. “The battles today have already commenced, so we’re no longer taking applications. If you would like to compete, you can sign up for tomorrow’s battle.”
An Lin nodded nonchalantly upon hearing this. “Then I’ll sign up for tomorrow’s battle.”
“Master, this white oriole is very polite. Much better than those birds outside!” Xue Zhantian sighed with emotion.
The white oriole had very good hearing and explained with a smile, “Disguising my scorn and disdain toward you is a part of my profession.”
An Lin: “…”
Xue Zhantian: “…”
What honesty and transparency! This was some service!
After finishing the applications, An Lin was led by the yellow cow into the spectating area of the arena.
Upon entry, they were all given a fright by the deafening, thunderous roars.
“Black Falcon King! Black Falcon King! Black Falcon King…”

An Lin’s heart surged with excitement upon hearing these raucous cheers.
There were a total of around a hundred thousand spectators.
An Lin turned toward the center of the arena, where a platform of five kilometers in diameter had been set up, with a huge spell formation encapsulating the platform to prevent shockwaves from injuring the spectators.
A huge black falcon extended its saber-like wings and left an afterimage in the air as it slashed downward, upon which a four-wing tiger bird was instantly sliced in half!
Raucous cheers erupted again. It was quite clear that this Black Falcon King was very popular among the spectators.
“This Black Falcon King has already won two successive battles and possesses a Soul Formation Final Stage cultivation base. Hopefully, it won’t come here tomorrow. Otherwise, it’s going to be a difficult fight for you, Brother An Lin!” the yellow cow said with furrowed brows.
An Lin had disclosed to the yellow cow that he was just an ordinary Soul Formation Final Stage cultivator, so it was natural for the yellow cow to have concerns like this.
The arena battles were still raging, and it looked like they were already at the elimination stages already.
In the end, the Black Falcon King was matched up with a Soul Formation Intermediate Stage Dark Pegasus. This was a particularly intense battle with earth-shattering clashes of energy, and all of the spectators were roused once again as their cheers surged like tidal waves.
The result of the battle was that the Black Falcon King defeated the Dark Pegasus to complete three consecutive victories.
It had finally earned itself an opportunity to enter the seventh level, and tears of excitement were streaming down its face.
An Lin was astonished. “You need three consecutive wins to enter the seventh level?”
The yellow cow shook his head. “Not necessarily. You might even need ten consecutive wins on some days.”
An Lin: “…”
“If your performance is exceptional and is acknowledged by the judges, just one victory could even grant you entry to the seventh level,” the yellow cow added.
An Lin shrugged. He would let them know what true horror was tomorrow.

He turned toward the judging panel to discover that the most powerful judge was a vermilion bird. It had four wings and crimson flames surrounded its body like gossamer.
Many other living beings stood close beside it, but none of them felt any scorching heat.
“That is the main judge of the Vermilion Bird Tribe, the Heavenly Flame Vermilion Bird. It is a mighty figure at the pinnacle of the Return to Void Initial Stage,” the yellow cow explained.
An Lin nodded lightly. The judge was decently powerful, so it should be able to identify his bad*ssery.
The next morning.
The Sun Tree Arena picked sixty-four powerful beings from the initial over two hundred applicants.
An Lin also successfully entered the competition, and what was about to commence was a series of brutal battles to the death. There was only one that could emerge from there alive, while the other sixty-three competitors were bound to die!
An Lin was led by a graceful female swan to the waiting room.
Within the huge waiting room, there were already several dozen beast tribe powerful beings. They were looking at An Lin with sinister expressions.
Even the weakest among them were Spirit Nurturing Stage spirit beasts.
“Hehe, who would have thought that a human would participate.”
“It has been a long time since I tasted fresh human flesh.”
“Hehehe… Human, have you thought about how you want to die yet?”
“If you surrender, I can give you an easier death.”
“Has he sh*t himself? Kukuku…” A skeletal falcon chuckled.
…
One bird after another hurled insults at him, but An Lin couldn’t even be bothered responding to their jeers.
They were all trash, so he didn’t even feel like verbally abusing them.
He scanned the competitors with his divine sense to find that the most powerful being here aside from himself was only at the Soul Formation Intermediate Stage. They were all absolute trash!
Pitter, patter…
Crisp footsteps sounded.
“Yo… Hello there, fellow competitors,” an extremely pleasant voice sounded like heavenly music, instantly drowning out everything else.
Even An Lin shuddered slightly upon hearing this voice, and he couldn’t help but turn his eyes toward the door, where a petite figure was starting to come into focus.
“A human?” An Lin’s pupils contracted.
The woman wore a colorful dress with nine different colored streamers dancing around her body. Her features were gorgeously intricate, and she had a pair of particularly big and bright eyes under her intricate brows.
She was quite small, and even with the red high heels on her feet, she was by far the smallest one here. However, her expression was quite arrogant as she looked around the room, as if she was deeming everyone here to be trash, just like what An Lin did a moment ago.
However, what was even more surprising to An Lin was that all of the other competitors really did become trash. All of them either wore expressions of despair or howled tearfully.
“Save me, mother… Why is the Vermilion Bird Princess here? I’m done!” A huge bird hugged its wings to its head as it sobbed.
“Withdraw! I want to withdraw!”
“Waah… Why do I have such lousy luck?”
“Waah… Waah…”
Even the skeletal falcon had sprawled to the ground and soiled itself.
The Soul Formation Intermediate Stage soul beast was shivering uncontrollably, and its face had turned completely pale.
Right at this moment, a carefree roar erupted from a distance, “Hahahaha… Let Papa Bear show all of you trash what true strength is! I am a powerful being that has racked up seven straight wins! Hahaha… Hah?”
The bear seemed to have suddenly discovered something, and its laughter instantly faltered as it ran in the opposite direction.
“Mommy! Why is she here? I’m not fighting anymore! I want to withdraw! Save me!”
Whoosh!
A red streamer instantly flew through the air and wrapped up the bear’s mountainous body before tossing it right in front of An Lin.
Boom!
The ground tremored below.
A vibrant smile appeared on the woman’s face as she narrowed her big eyes and licked her lips with her little tongue. “Hmm, none of you are getting away today!”

Let's say she and her imaginary friend miraculously pass through the borders of reality into an alternate universe, crash landing into a world of swords and magic aboard a starship full of high-tech wonders. Now, let's also say the first person this borderline psychopath meets happens to be her doppelganger - a highly gifted mage who happens to have a few problems of her own, like a bad temper or a bad habit of chronic self-delusion. With me so far? Good. Now, what's the on the agenda for these two different people who happen to be the same person? Settle down, start a family and thoroughly enjoy life. Maybe get married and have some kids. How about befriending a violent alcoholic or defeating an ancient evil being? Perhaps kill a few dragons and wreck a city along the way. The people living there have long abandoned silly things like common sense or minding the details. A giant flaming UFO streaks above the city in broad daylight? That's just another Tuesday. The City Guard even had the form for that, so believe me when I say this. It's your loss if you mind it. This is the light-hearted and fluffy tale of Ellie and Kira as they forge their own path of absurdity and crazyness across a world that often makes little sense. Loosely inspired by the Discworld series of books by Terry Pratchett, even though the author hasn't actually read any of them. Contains yuri, mature themes and the author's personal views on several subjects. Explicit content is kept to a minimum.Does NOT contain slavery, rape, drugs or any other similarly heavy themes.
