Chapter 872: The True Appearance of the Vast Land of Blood
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Over five hundred kilometers to the west of The United University of Cultivation.
An Lin flew toward a particular cloud via Dog Kinesis Flight before turning with a smile. “This is the place.”
Dongfang Zhuangshi stepped through the sky and looked around at his surroundings to discover nothing that was really all that special about this place. “Why here?”
“Didn’t you say your Vast Land of Blood needs to absorb the power of the stars? Xiaolan and I often stroll above the clouds at night, and this is the place that we discovered where the power of the stars is most abundant at night,” An Lin explained with a smile.
Dongfang Zhuangshi nodded as a crimson bead suddenly appeared in his mouth, which he spat toward the air.
The bead flew over the clouds, and the space around it began to twist and warp, upon which countless objects shot forth from the bead in a spiral. That was the land and the buildings of the Vast Land of Blood.
Soon, a crimson floating continent appeared before everyone. The bead flew toward the huge mushroom house at the center of the continent, where it continued to exude a red light.
“By the way, Uncle Dongfang, why did you build so many mushroom houses on here? Who are they for?” An Lin was confused.
He had thought that this place was a set of ruins, upon which all types of living beings used to live. However, that was not the case. This was, in fact, Dongfang Zhuangshi’s personal floating continent, which meant he would have built all the houses on it.
“Well…” Dongfang Zhuangshi looked at An Lin as if he was hesitant about something.
An Lin said with a stern expression, “Uncle Dongfang, don’t keep these things from me!”
Perhaps it was because of An Lin’s stern expression, or perhaps it was because the power the Kirin Blood Jade had over him, Dongfang Zhuangshi finally heaved a resigned sigh and extended a palm toward the continent.
“So be it, let me show you what this continent really looks like…”
Dongfang Zhuangshi’s hand began to turn, and at the same time, the Vast Land of Blood also began to turn. In the end, the entire Vast Land of Blood turned upside down with the houses facing toward the ground and the rock layer on the bottom facing up into the sky.

An Lin blinked in confusion. “What? You’re making the Vast Land of Blood do a handstand? This is its true form? Just the same thing flipped upside-down?”
He felt like he had been played for a fool.
Dongfang Zhuangshi: “… Stop talking and follow me!”
He descended lightly onto the rock layer, which was now facing the sky, before arriving at a certain place.
An Lin followed him on Da Bai’s back, and they both descended upon the rock layer as well. Only then did they discover that there was a twisted gate of light in the distance.
“When you enter inside, your cultivation base will be restricted. Remember not to use your power in there, or you’ll affect the stability of the interior,” Dongfang Zhuangshi cautioned with an extremely solemn expression.
An Lin and Da Bai both nodded with excitement.
This was the excitement and joy that one derived from uncovering a secret.
Dongfang Zhuangshi walked into the faint gate of light and disappeared, and An Lin and Da Bai followed along behind him. After a burst of dizziness, they arrived at an extremely strange, yet familiar place.
“This is…” An Lin stood rooted to the spot with undisguised shock on his face.
The bright and vibrant sun shone its light onto the earth. A clear moat flowed around the city before them. Willow trees stood beside the moat, upon which a few beautiful little birds perched on the branches. The entire scene looked like it had been taken straight out of a beautiful painting.
A city wall that wasn’t all that large stood behind the moat, along with a city gate, beside which soldiers were stationed. There were also pedestrians, horses, and carriages milling in and out of the city gate.
The only thing was… the moat was stagnant, the wind was stagnant, the wicker and birds in the trees were stationary, and the pedestrians, horses, and carriages were stationary as well. Everything stood completely still!
This was the reason for An Lin’s shock.
It was as if he were looking at a three-dimensional still image!
Dongfang Zhuangshi stood in front of them while speaking in a faint voice, “What you’re seeing now is a world where time has been paused.”
They couldn’t see his expression, but they could see from the view of his back that he appeared to be filled with melancholy.

“Come with me.” Dongfang Zhuangshi made his way forward.
This was the first time An Lin had seen something like this, and he began to survey his surroundings with relish.
There was a plaque on top of the city gate, upon which were written the words—Ling Gu City.
They walked in through the city gate and discovered that the interior of the city was filled with buildings identical to those found on the Vast Land of Blood.
Mushroom-shaped buildings stood pointing into the sky; all of them were in a series of different color combinations and shapes.
There were intricate plaques hanging on top of many of the mushroom buildings, and there were even people standing in front of them, frozen in the gesture of waving their arms with their mouths open, as if they were advertising their wares.
“This place is a direct reflection of the Vast Land of Blood, except one is a scene of prosperity and beauty, while the other is one of annihilation,” An Lin muttered to himself.
Da Bai wagged his bushy white tail as he looked around with wide, curious eyes.
He looked at a rock on the ground and casually kicked it aside, only for his foot to pass through the stone as if it were a mirage, causing him to almost fall over from the unexpected lack of contact.
An Lin casually grabbed toward a fluttering leaf in the air, only for his hand to pass through the leaf, and his eyes widened in shock. “This… This is clearly real, so why can’t I touch it?”
That’s right, everything here was extremely realistic, but he couldn’t come into contact with anything.
Dongfang Zhuangshi provided an explanation upon hearing this. “This is a world without time, so it’s naturally different from the real world…”
An Lin tried to use the vital energy within this world, only to find that there seemed to be no vital energy that he could draw on.
This was a very peculiar feeling, as if he had arrived at a world in which he didn’t belong. One that he could only be a spectator in.
All types of flora and fauna lay around him, as did people frozen in all types of motions.
This was an artwork that would never fade and could forever be enjoyed and appreciated.
Dongfang Zhuangshi was still walking ahead of them, and An Lin was quite curious about where he was going to take them.
After walking for a short while, he stopped in front of a certain mushroom house.
This was one of the smaller and shorter mushroom houses, and the plaque on top of it read— Miracle Healing Clinic.
An Lin blinked in confusion. Were they looking for a doctor?
Dongfang Zhuangshi walked up the wooden steps and gently pushed open the door. He stopped in front of a woman, and an entranced and reminiscent expression appeared on his face as he stared at the woman before him.
An Lin also turned toward the woman.
She appeared to be a doctor, and she wore a simple, cream-colored dress. Her elegant and nimble hands were in the process of sorting through medicinal ingredients, and there was a faint smile on her face.
The sunlight from outside shone on her face, making her smile appear even more radiant and enchanting.
It had to be said, this was a very beautiful woman.
An Lin was looking at her from a purely appreciative perspective.
He then thought back to the woman whom Uncle Dongfang had mentioned. Was this the woman who had given him his name? Was she the one who had died in that sudden disaster?
There was quite a good chance that it was her.
Especially after seeing the other side of the Vast Land of Blood, this thought became all the more potent in his mind.
Suddenly, violently fluctuations erupted in his sea of vital energy. No, to put it more precisely, it wasn’t his sea of vital energy, it was An Kirin, who was situated at the center of the sea of vital energy. He had his hands clasped over his heart, and there were tears flowing from his eyes.
An Lin: “???”

Sufficiently Advanced
A Novella about magic vs aliens vs science. It's a raucous, campy sci-fi read involving humans gaining magic, a possibly pizza-hating alien empire, the decapitation of the US Federal Government, eldritch abominations, lesbian space witches and some medium-hard science.I wouldn't say it's not serious, but I wouldn't say it's serious. Eh, it's not serious. Wait... it's getting serious.

Naruto: The Ember Tomorrow
Synopsis: I enjoyed my job. I loved my life. I truly did not wish to die, but fate had other plans in store. Reborn into the body of Sasuke Uchiha just after the massacre of his clan, will I be able to forge a better path in this world of blood and death? Author's Note: This is a Naruto Isekai. I do not own Naruto nor am I making any monetary profit off of this fiction. It is purely for fun and growing my own skills as an author. This story will have many elements of the Naruto anime obviously, but there will be twists and turns. I don't much care for sticking too closely to canon. The fic will also delve somewhat into philosophy as the protagonist was a professor of such before his transmigration. I've marked the content tags of Gore, profanity, sexual content, and traumatizing content to allow myself the freedom to write as needed, but am unlikely to be excessively explicit in any of these areas; still, better to have the tag and the freedom as needed. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and feedback is always welcome.
