Chapter 765: The Feeling of Making a Fortune Overnight
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
The Four Nine Immortal Sect’s sect founding ceremony celebration lasted for a full day.
Regardless of whether it was day or night, there were always singers and dancers performing on the stage.
Tens of thousands of cultivators chatted and talked nonsense.
At night, all kinds of spell technique fireworks lit up the night sky with brilliant and dazzling colors.
After celebrating for an entire night, the sect representatives all started to bid farewell and leave the next morning.
An Lin gathered the members of Four Nine Immortal Sect in the main palace, and they started discussing the future direction of development.
The sect leader, ten pavilion lords, and five elders all sat around a large round table.
The ten pavilion elders and one disciple sat on the stools nearby as they listened in on the discussion.
Ye Ling’s grandma, Shan Ruxuan, went to cook.
An Lin called on the sect’s mascot and fortune dog, Pavilion Lord Da Bai, to announce the congratulatory gifts that they had received in the sect founding ceremony.
Da Bai clapped his paws and placed ten high-rank storage rings onto the table.
He cleared his throat and spoke with an air of authority, “I tallied the items with Elder Tang for a full day today. My dog paws had already gone numb by the time we finished tallying all the items…”
Everyone turned their gaze toward Da Bai.
Da Bai continued, “In total, we received zero immortal tools!”
Everyone remained calm and composed upon hearing this. After all, even a significant portion of Return to Void Stage cultivators couldn’t get their hands on immortal tools. If any sect gifted them an immortal tool as a congratulatory gift, then that sect was definitely f*cked in the head.
“We received eight immortal pills and eighteen immortal fruits, woof!”
They were all delighted upon hearing this. Now they had the resources necessary for cultivation.
Immortal pills and immortal fruits could be viewed as top-grade cultivation resources of the sect. It was truly a delight that they could receive so many of such items.
Through Da Bai’s explanations, they learned that these immortal-ranked items were mostly gifted to them by the Heavenly Court, Four Great Sects, and Nine Imperials.

When the Heavenly Sword Sect came, they also gifted them with an immortal pill.
Uh-huh, An Lin was extremely touched.
Da Bai continued to announce what they had received, “We also received seventy spirit tools, one hundred and sixty-three spirit pills, two hundred and twenty spirit fruits, four hundred and fifty magic tools, over six hundred kilograms of various herbs and spiritual plants that comprised of over one hundred different types, and two thousand five hundred kilograms of various tool refinement materials, and finally thirty five unique items.”
They all drew in a sharp breath.
Just these items alone were already worth over ten million spirit stones!
Da Bai slapped the table with his paw and gestured for them to calm down. “Do you guys know how many spirit stones we received? Woof!”
“Ten million?” An Lin guessed hesitantly.
Da Bai’s lips curled up into a smile that revealed his two canine teeth. He raised three claws and chuckled, “Thirty-two million and five hundred thousand! Woof!”
An Lin was stunned. “Holy f*ck!”
Liu Qianhuan sucked in a deep breath. “This many?!”
Liu Dabao almost fell off his chair in fright. His large round eyes were wide with shock and surprise. “You didn’t count wrong, did you?”
Tang Ximen spoke at this moment, “It’s absolutely correct. Da Bai and I counted everything three times!”
“Gasp…”
They all drew in another sharp breath and exchanged surprised glances. They wanted to speak but didn’t know what to say.
Presenting gifts was very straightforward in the cultivation world; everyone liked to gift spirit stones.
This was because spirit stones were the most abundant, and their areas of use were also the most wide-ranging. They could be used for cultivation, tool refinement, pill refinement, spell formations…
It could be said that spirit stones were a physical currency that would never depreciate in value.
Hundreds of sects had attended their sect founding ceremony, and An Lin had imagined that it would be a good result if they gifted tens of thousands of spirit stones each. He didn’t expect for them to receive over thirty million spirit stones! Didn’t this mean that many sects gifted them with over one hundred thousand spirit stones each?

“So, our sect has instantly become this rich?” Xu Xiaolan murmured.
“We’ve amassed such great wealth in just a day’s time! So impressive!” Stars were twinkling in Su Qianyun’s eyes, and it was as if she could see the bright future that lay ahead of them.
“Student An Lin was right. Magnifying the scale of our sect founding ceremony was indeed a way of amassing more wealth! To be honest, there’s so much wealth that I’m feeling a bit dazed now,” Xuanyuan Cheng couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.
They had received over forty million spirit stones worth of wealth simply by holding a sect founding ceremony. What kind of experience was this?
The higher-ups of the Four Nine Immortal Sect felt that this was absolutely euphoric!Read more chapter on NovelFull
This was the amazing feeling of making a fortune overnight.
As the leader of the sect, An Lin couldn’t help but say, “I have a bold idea.”
Da Bai replied, “To this bold idea of yours, I have an immature suggestion.”
Liu Qianhuan clapped her hands impatiently. “Stop blabbering nonsense! Spit it out, how many more times are we going to hold sect celebration ceremonies?!”
“We’ll hold one a day, endlessly and for all eternity. Receiving gifts will become our eternal path to riches!” Xue Zhantian exclaimed aggressively.
An Lin held down Xue Zhantian’s fluffy white body and snapped, “Stop acting cute! If we hold celebrations daily, who will still come? Everyone will become tired of it! We must have cooldown periods between celebrations and ceremonies!”
Xuanyuan Cheng had his hands on his hips and looked to be deep in thought. After a moment, he said, “We must have valid reasons for holding celebrations. Otherwise, other sects won’t attend them. Moreover, they can only be held periodically. Only in such ways will we be able to keep making money from it.”
Xu Xiaolan snapped her fingers and chuckled. “Why don’t we hold annual celebrations to commemorate the sect founding anniversaries? One year anniversary, two year anniversary, three year anniversary… We can hold such celebrations endlessly and be bathed in wealth!”
Everyone’s eyes lit up. “That’s a genius idea!”
An Lin was overjoyed. It appeared as if they had discovered their sect’s path to riches.
He paused for a moment before asking, “Are there any other suggestions?”
Lin Junjun, who was participating in this meeting as an elder, had her arms crossed before her chest as she looked at the others in disbelief. “This sect development meeting is the strangest and most outlandish meeting that I’ve ever attended. A bunch of higher-ups is seriously discussing how to take advantage of celebrations to make money?”
The others all looked at Lin Junjun in confusion upon hearing this.
It was as though they were saying, “Is there a problem?”
Lin Junjun felt frustration build up inside her upon seeing their reactions.
Was she wrong to say that? Why did it seem like she was a misfit here?
“Comrade Lin Junjun, I think it’s best that you understand this concept—regardless of whether it’s a black cat or a white cat, as long as it catches mice, it’s a good cat!” An Lin said sincerely. “Since the sect can make money from this, why not take full advantage of it?”
“But… But this kind of development is unhealthy and unsustainable,” Lin Junjun protested. “A sect should have proper avenues of generating wealth!”
“I didn’t say that we’re giving up other avenues of generating wealth. It’s just that we’re discussing this method of generating wealth through celebrations first.
“Even if we don’t earn as much in the second celebration—say, we only make ten million or perhaps just a few million spirit stones—it’s still better than making nothing, don’t you think? Think about it. This is a brilliant method of generating millions of spirit stones at once; why don’t you want to utilize it?”
An Lin explained his reasoning earnestly that he left Lin Junjun at a loss for words.
Thereupon, the Four Nine Immortal Sect’s higher-ups launched into a heated discussion about holding celebrations.
Lin Junjun fell deep into thought as she looked at the bunch of unprofessional and fanciful-minded higher-ups.
Should the Heavenly Court also hold some kind of celebration to rake in some wealth?
For example, a celebration for her birthday? And more celebrations for her first to sixth sister’s birthdays?
Or maybe hold a Heavenly Peach Banquet?
