Chapter 759: Conflict Escalation
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Zhu Shan’s expression darkened. “She tried to hurt my son! If I came any later than I did, my son would’ve gotten hurt!”
“And that gives you an excuse to kill her?”
The white-robed man was none other than An Lin, and he positioned himself firmly in front of the trembling little girl before interrogating the woman in a frosty voice.
Zhu Shan’s brows furrowed, and she didn’t even have a chance to speak before the boy behind her recovered from his shock and let loose an enraged roar, “A mere mortal dares to try and hurt me, the son of the sect leader of the Heavenly Sword Sect! Does she not deserve to die?!”
Rumble!
A golden light flashed past An Lin’s eyes, and a golden ripple swept outward. His eyes exuded boundless divine might. It was as if he were an enraged god looking down upon the little boy.
Zhu Shan’s expression shifted as she unleashed her power to combat An Lin’s Divine Might Technique. However, An Lin’s spiritual power was well beyond that of an ordinary Return to Void Stage mighty figure, and it was not something a rookie Return to Void Stage cultivator like her could combat against.
A sense of powerlessness welled up in her heart as she shuddered with fear.
The little boy had collapsed to the ground, and he had literally sh*t himself from fear.
“A stupid child like you should learn to shut up when adults are talking!” An Lin scolded coldly.
“It… it was that boy! He crashed into my grandma and refused to save her, then he pushed me… Big brother, please save my grandma!” The little girl clutched onto An Lin’s leg like a lifejacket as tears flowed from her eyes.
An Lin turned to the elderly woman, who was still lying sprawled onto the ground, and immediately realized just how severe her injuries were.
Her lifespan was already nearing its end, and that collision had even shaken her internal organs. The situation was very dire.
All the sect representatives stared at the scenes unfolding before their eyes with stupefied expressions. Everything had happened too abruptly, and they didn’t know which side they should take. On one side was the Four Nine Immortal Sect, and on the other side was the Heavenly Sword Sect. There was simply nothing to be gained from helping either of them, so they all decided to sit on the wall.
“Tina, go save her,” An Lin instructed.

Tina immediately flew toward the elderly woman before unleashing an extremely powerful healing spell technique.
“What happened here?” Liu Mingxuan also arrived at this moment. His expression remained unchanged, even as he caught sight of his son, who had soiled himself and had collapsed on the ground in fear.
“Mingxuan…” Tears welled up in Zhu Shan’s eyes in an extremely vulnerable display as she picked up the little boy in her arms. “Wenbin has been absolutely petrified. It’s all my fault for not being able to protect him. If I had come any later, Wenbin would’ve been…”
An Lin glared at the woman before him with a cold expression. No wonder Liu Qianhuan was so resentful toward this woman; she really was a piece of work.
Liu Qianhuan made her way toward An Lin and looked down at the severely injured old woman and the bruised and battered little girl. She then turned toward the little boy not far away, and a frosty expression appeared on her face.
A man who was part of the Heavenly Sword Sect entourage explained in a slow voice, “What happened? It’s quite simple. Liu Wenbin accidentally knocked over the elderly woman and refused to apologize, then pushed the little girl over. The little girl threw a rock at him, upon which Zhu Shan stormed to the scene and swatted the rock away before attempting to kill the little girl. Sect Leader An Lin then appeared to teach Liu Wenbin a lesson.”
His attention was focused entirely on his phone as he spoke.
That’s right! He was playing games on his phone the entire time!
An Lin was shocked to see this. Was this guy Liu Qianhuan’s teacher?
Zhu Shan’s expression became even more aggrieved upon seeing this.
Liu Wenbin recovered from being scared sh*tless and began to howl with sobs.
He pointed to An Lin as he howled, “Daddy! That man bullied me! He bullied me! Waah… a man like him should die a thousand…”
He didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence before Zhu Shan pinched his midsection. “Shush… you deserve to be taught a lesson.”
Liu Mingxuan immediately pulled out a high-rank spirit pill. “An Lin, this was all Wenbin’s fault. Take this spirit pill and give it to the elderly woman. Let’s put an end to this debacle.”
Liu Wenbin immediately flared up. “Daddy! That man was so cruel to me, and that filthy mortal threw a rock at me! Why are you pinning all the blame on me?!”
“There’s no need for the spirit pill.” An Lin pointed to the little boy in Zhu Shan’s arms with a frosty expression and said, “Tell him to apologize to the old woman and the little girl!”

“Are you insane?! You want me to apologize? Why don’t you apologize to me?” Liu Wenbin retorted in a loud voice.
Liu Mingxuan’s brows also furrowed slightly. “He’s just a little kid who doesn’t know anything. How about we just let this slide?”
“I can’t allow something like this to happen in my sect and just let it slide!” An Lin refused to back down even a single step.
All the spectators were shocked. It was quite clear that Liu Mingxuan had made a compromise and offered a regenerative pill as well as an apology. But who would have thought that An Lin would refuse to accept his apology and insisted on having the child apologize instead?
“Is-isn’t that going too far?”
“Yeah, it’s just a quarrel between little kids. Does he really need to do this?”
“To think that he would be so petty on a small matter like this. Is this what An Lin is like as a person?”
“The sect leader of the Heavenly Sword Sect has graced him with his presence, and now he thinks he’s the top dog?”
“Doesn’t he understand the importance of knowing when to back down? What a bull-headed man.”
Everyone discussed with each other, and most of them were unable to understand An Lin’s actions. To them, it appeared that he was making a big deal out of nothing and that he didn’t know when to back down.
An Lin couldn’t be bothered taking into account everyone else’s opinions, and he stood like an unyielding stone wall.
A flash of rage appeared on Zhu Shan’s face. “You’re going too far, An Lin. We’ve already issued a spirit pill to those two mortals, what else do you want? Do you really think our Heavenly Sword Sect is so easy to walk over?”
A cold smile appeared on An Lin’s face. “Oh, right, you tried to kill that little girl. You have to apologize too!”
Liu Mingxuan: “…”
Zhu Shan’s face was purple with rage. “How dare you! You…”
“Shut up!” An Lin cut her off with a loud cry.
Boom!
The Divine Might Technique swept outward again.
However, Liu Mingxuan only had to wave a sleeve and the Divine Might Technique was instantly dispelled.
An Lin faltered slightly before pulling out the Regal Crown from his storage ring.
The Regal Crown was created by Xiao Tu using the blood essence and spinal cord of a divine dragon. The crown was capable of unleashing boundless dragon might and was an absolute must-have for flexing purposes!
Boom!
The Regal Crown was activated alongside the Divine Might Technique!
“Roar!”
An ear-splitting dragon roar erupted.
It was as if a divine dragon had taken to the skies again to unleash its monstrous aura with its full force. The aura specifically targeted Zhu Shan, but even so, all the spectators trembled involuntarily, as if they were faced with a paramount dragon god.
The monstrous aura was combined with the power of the divine dao, and a small wisp of it was able to sneak past Liu Mingxuan before merging into Zhu Shan’s body, upon which her features paled and her lips trembled with fear.
“An Lin! Is this how you treat your guests from the Heavenly Sword Sect?” Liu Mingxuan was finally enraged, and his voice was like an unsheathed divine sword that parted the clouds and pierced straight through the heavens!
“Tell your kid to apologize, and everything would’ve been fine! Is it that hard? In essence, you’re all looking down on mortals!
“You tried to trample on and kill this elderly woman and her grandchild, neither of whom possessed any cultivation base, and then you refused to apologize… The Four Nine Immortal Sect does not welcome guests like this!”
An Lin didn’t back down against Liu Mingxuan’s rage, and he spoke in a voice that was just as firm as his expression.
His words instantly created a massive stir.
Countless people stared in astonishment at An Lin, unable to believe what he had just said.
He had just told the sect leader of the Heavenly Sword Sect that the Heavenly Sword Sect was not welcome here?! He was f*cking insane!!
Countless people transmitted their voices to An Lin, trying to persuade him to back down. It was simply not worth offending the Heavenly Sword Sect just for these two mortals!
Liu Qianhuan asked in a low voice, “Do you know those two?”
An Lin shook his head. “Nope.”
Liu Qianhuan’s purple eyes immediately lit up. “Bad*ss!”
An Lin stared coldly at Liu Mingxuan. He was a man who wouldn’t back down from his beliefs. One should not talk to him about weighing up the pros and cons.
This was his sect, and anyone had to apologize at his behest.
Why did he have to be wary just because Liu Mingxuan was involved?
Hehe, he had even bashed Emperor Ziwei, so why would he be wary of Liu Mingxuan?!
