Chapter 617: I Will Grind Your Face into the Ground
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
When An Lin voiced the words that were on his mind, Emperor Ziwei’s expression faltered slightly.
It was true that he would still be able to take a few more of these attacks without dying.
You won’t be able to defeat me…
Such a simple string of words, but each and every word was imbued with peerless confidence. An Lin would not have been able to utter these words in such a convincing manner without the strength and unyielding combative spirit to back up his claims.
One had to realize that he was saying this to Emperor Ziwei, a Dao Integration Stage True God!
Sure enough, all the students outside the Immortal Spirit Tower were shaken by An Lin’s words, and his following of retarded superfans drastically increased…
A joyful smile surfaced on Emperor Ziwei’s face as he looked at An Lin. “Hahaha… It’s been so long since someone had said something like that to me. Listening to it now, I have to admit that my blood is surging a little within my body.”
Wings of Wind spread open on An Lin’s back as he charged toward Emperor Ziwei. At the same time, four white lightning swords materialized beside him before flying toward Emperor Ziwei with earth-shattering sword intents.
“Isn’t your attack too rushed?”
Emperor Ziwei smiled. When he waved a hand through the air, a golden cube enveloped his body.
Boom boom boom…
The white lightning swords struck the golden cube, resulting in a series of violent tremors.
Lightning exploded forth, but the four lightning swords were unable to penetrate Emperor Ziwei’s defense in the end.
Emperor Ziwei turned to An Lin and was just about to speak when he caught sight of the image of a golden eye on An Lin’s forehead.
Divine Plunder Technique!
The flying lightning swords were only a smokescreen for An Lin to close in to within a distance of a hundred meters from Emperor Ziwei.
His real attack was his Divine Plunder Technique!
An Lin didn’t know if the Divine Plunder Technique was going to be able to flip the tables, but he could only count on his luck to pull him through.
Emperor Ziwei was a Dao Integration Stage mighty figure who was also known as the godfather of immortal spells. Thus, the spell techniques and abilities he possessed were probably close to infinity. If An Lin didn’t want his head to explode, then he could only pick something completely at random.

The golden ripples began to proliferate outward, diffusing through the golden cube, before enveloping Emperor Ziwei’s body.
An Lin was already prepared to make a blind decision, but he suddenly found that he didn’t have to.
There was no flood of information overload as he had expected. Instead, there were only two things that were available for him to plunder!
One of them was an infinitely mysterious composite body of dao intent, and the other was a ball of energy that was exuding an extremely powerful spiritual fluctuation.
An Lin came to a sudden realization upon seeing this. He was not plundering something from Emperor Ziwei. Instead, he was plundering the divine intent that had detached itself from his body!
The infinitely mysterious composite body of dao intent contained all of Emperor Ziwei’s spell techniques while the ball of energy was most likely Emperor Ziwei’s divine intent.
If he were to plunder that ball of energy, then he could probably make this divine-intent body disappear on the spot!
But that was not an option An Lin would choose!
He hadn’t even had the chance to grind Emperor Ziwei’s face into the ground yet, so he couldn’t just let him disappear!
There was only one option then, hehe…
The opportunity to grind Emperor Ziwei’s face into the ground had finally presented itself!
Plunder the composite body of dao intent!
Invisible ripples swept toward Emperor Ziwei’s body, and he felt as if he had lost something in that split second.
At this moment, An Lin was already upon him as he launched a glowing golden fist.
“Void Cloud Palm!” Emperor Ziwei launched a palm toward An Lin.
Slap!
His hand was slapped away by An Lin’s spare hand.
Emperor Ziwei’s eyes widened as unadulterated shock appeared on his face.
At this moment, An Lin’s fist made contact with his face.
Boom!
A golden light exploded forth as the fearsome force of the fist was transferred into Emperor Ziwei’s face.
Emperor Ziwei’s body tumbled to the ground as he threw up a large mouthful of blood with confusion on his face.
He was just about to get up from the ground when An Lin clutched the air. Immediately thereafter, a golden cube enveloped his body. Countless golden sigils flashed on the surface of the cube, unleashing an extremely fearsome sealing power.
Emperor Ziwei was forced to the ground again by the fearsome sealing power.
Bolts of lightning burst forth from under An Lin’s feet as he flashed toward Emperor Ziwei at lightning speed before launching another golden fist into his face.

Boom!
Stars danced before Emperor Ziwei’s eyes as he threw up another mouthful of blood.
“Moon Dragon Fist!” An Lin roared as the power of pure Yin was unleashed from his fist before materializing into the projection of a white dragon’s head that crashed into Emperor Ziwei’s face.
The energy of pure Yin exploded, and the entire ninety-ninth level was congealed into a white domain, completely freezing and immobilizing Emperor Ziwei’s body in the process.
“Extreme Sun Sword!” An Lin clapped his hands together as a golden longsword materialized in the air, exuding a scorching aura that threatened to set the very heavens alight.
The golden longsword rang before stabbing into Emperor Ziwei’s chest.
“Myriad Demon Palm!
“Azure Dragon Roar!
“Lightning Meteor Finger!”
A relentless series of monstrous attacks rained down upon Emperor Ziwei.
Emperor Ziwei was completely unable to put up any resistance, and he received a taste of his own medicine as he too was ground into the wall of the tower.
“Weren’t you having the time of your life pummeling me? Come on then! Where’s your spunk now?
“How does it feel to be ground into the ground? Huh?”
An Lin let loose a torrent of abuse as he unleashed his spell techniques, getting more and more excited as he attacked.
What was it like beating the crap out of a Dao Integration Stage True God? Very few people in history would’ve had a chance to experience something like this. Even if Emperor Ziwei were to ask someone to beat him up, they would probably piss themselves in fear instead.
However, An Lin was different…
He had just been thoroughly ravaged and violated! Now that he had a chance to exact his revenge, he was obviously not going to hold back!
If he had to describe how it felt, he would have to say… Very satisfying!
That’s right, this was super satisfying!
An Lin continued to use Emperor Ziwei’s spell techniques to bombard him and unleashed a different spell technique every time as if he was testing all of his newly-obtained weapons in one session.
Emperor Ziwei finally understood what had happened now; all his techniques had been stolen by An Lin…
Aside from a powerful body, he had nothing else now.
Bai Zhong stood in the air outside the Immortal Spirit Tower, completely rooted to the spot by the absurd scenes unfolding before his eyes.
All the spectating teachers and students stared up at the screen while listening to all the insults An Lin was hurling, feeling as if they were in a dream.
The events that had just taken place were simply far too bizarre for them to come to terms with.
One moment, An Lin was being trampled into the dust; the next moment, An Lin was grinding Emperor Ziwei’s face into the ground as he unleashed a storm of spell techniques upon him. This was extremely difficult to believe even for everyone who was seeing it with their very own eyes!
A student finally broke the silence after a long while and said, “This is the high and mighty Emperor Ziwei… How could he be pummeled like this? I can see blood flowing from his nose…”
“I feel like I’m dreaming. Is An Lin really bashing Emperor Ziwei like this?”
“It looks like he might have used some sort of sealing technique to render Emperor Ziwei completely unable to retaliate.”
“It looks like he’s using some sort of copycat technique as well. Can’t you see that An Lin is using all of Emperor Ziwei’s spell techniques?!”
“This is one of the Emperors of the Heavenly Court! God An is simply way too bad*ss!”
“I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life; An Lin pummeling Emperor Ziwei, hehe…”
“See that? Y’all see that? This is our God An! All those who wish to join his fan club, please line up here!”
…
The scenes being broadcasted on the crystalline screen were simply sensational.
All the students discussed among themselves, as if they were trying to express their irrepressible emotions through words.
Even Xu Xiaolan and the others couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement. An Lin had once again reconstructed their images of him in their hearts.
“My God… This is something that I wouldn’t dare to think of in my wildest dreams, and An Lin was able to do it!” Tang Ximen muttered to himself with unadulterated shock on his face.
A warm smile appeared on Xuanyuan Cheng’s face. “Do you understand now? Anything is possible if you set your mind to it!”
In the air above the Immortal Spirit Tower, the Celestial Thearch was also completely dumbstruck. He had never seen Ziwei getting the crap beaten out of him like this before.
This was definitely a commemorative moment.
He silently brought out a crystal ball to record this historic moment for later viewing.

The Edge of Endless
Due to some unforseen and significant life events, this story will be on hiatus for a time. Reborn into a strange but familiar world, Alex makes it his mission to uncover the mysteries of governments, gods, and the arcane realm known only (and inaccurately) as the Unending Depths. Slowly but surely, he grows in ability and meets new and interesting people. tEoE is an epic fantasy LitRPG with a focus on plot, writing, and hopefully original twists on the standard formula of 'MC picks cool class, levels up'. Give it a read if any of the following appeals to you: > 3000-5000 words per chapter, chapters released at least once per week, usually several times. Expect good grammar. > Story focus on illusions, secrets, and traps (along with the usual combat and character stuff). > Progression fantasy, but one where progress is meant to feel earned, moderately paced, and reasonable. Some advantages, but not big, unfair ones. > If a random reader can work out that putting a big rock in a bag of holding, lifting it, and then dropping the rock is free energy, then so could an adventurer who's owned a bag of holding for twenty years. Side characters have brains too. > Blue boxes! Levels! [Classes]! [Skills]! Loot! > No uncomfortable sexist undertones. Ambivalent about including relationships. Definitely no harems. There are a number of arcs planned and this will be ongoing for some time. I am very appreciative of the kind reviews and comments left so far.

The Doormat Villainess – Adrianne
A villainess is a character who has always been diametrically opposed to the heroine of a romance drama. What makes a person a good villainess? The fact that she's unabashedly beautiful and charismatic, yet also rotten inside? The fact that she's incredibly loathsome, greedy, and selfish? That she's reasonably strong enough to be a hurdle, yet ultimately powerless in the face of a determined heroine? That despite all these character flaws, a Villainess's greatest virtue is unwilling to give up until the last of their breath, in pursuit of her personal desire? If those are the hallmark of a successful Villainess. Then, I might be the wrong person to play that role. Also on Scribblehub (Profile)
